On the run

The Sisters of Eden recently had a cyberpunk-themed party (DJd by our very own Jaz) and I had a lot of fun putting together an outfit that I really wanted to share with you.  This really was a fun outfit, as I assembled it from a variety of bits and pieces!

  • :::SOLE::: — Shinkan glasses (unrigged mesh) (Marketplace link)
  • :::SOLE::: — Luna Headset (unrigged mesh) (Marketplace link)
  • Profectus — Time Brace
  • Xtra OrdinaryDragonsuit Top applier and collar from Sith Lady costume  (Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Freya/Isis/Venus fitmesh, Omega/Maitreya appliers)
  • Xtra Ordinary — Coat from Underworld Deathdealer full costume  (Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Freya/Isis/Venus fitmesh, Omega/Maitreya appliers)
  • Xtra Ordinary — Combat belt from Black Widow full costume  (Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Freya/Isis/Venus fitmesh, Omega/Maitreya appliers)
  • [The Forge] — Cypher pants (Oil) (Gacha) (Marketplace Link)
  • Silvan Moon Designs  —  Bento Gloves, exclusive for Fallen Gods Decennial
  • GRAVES — G322 Combat Boots (unrigged mesh)
  • BAXE — Miss China – Gala 2018

I didn’t want to go all Tron-glowy, but cyberpunk does require some supporting gadgets!  I found just the right things at :::Sole:::.  I’m wearing two separate pieces here,  the Luna headset and the Shinkan glasses.  Both have huds for texture and glow, and both are unrigged mesh – so they’re resizable!

The boots were a tricky find — I wanted something that buckled and looked meant for action — not silly oversexed high-heel boots.  But I also needed something that could accommodate the mesh leggings without having surface conflicts (‘peek-through’). Graves’ Combat Boots are just right — with male and female versions so it’s not just a genderless muck boot.

I’m always reminded how much fun it is to assemble an outfit from bits and pieces.  I totally love playing with a role-playing costume like this!

Mahalo, my friends!  A hui hou kākou!

Mix and Match Sci Fi Edition

By now my followers know I love mixing and matching things up. Today let me show you another one where I have gone totally to town, and in fact maxed out my attachment points in the process 🙂

The base bits (body applier and gloves) come from Xtra Ordinary’s Sith Lady Outfit V2, for Maitreya Lara. On top of this I added (and added and added) more things. Most of them are components from Sole, who make some amazing hi tech looking gear. In my photos I have a rotating rainbow swirl light attached to me, and this makes the materials in Sole’s products just shimmer. I also have a variety of smaller attachment items from a couple of outfits by Grave (always a good source for sci fi gear).

The boots are Foxy from Blueberry, who while certainly not the first name that come to mind for sci fi outfits, has some wonderful shiny materials on these boots that are just right.

Here’s a close up and you can see the absolutely wicked detailing on the Sole Mask, as well as the Holocle Visor from PsiNanna. And that hair!  Medusa Cyber Hair comes from A&Y and includes various tubes making it perfect for all your cybernetic needs. The tube types can also be colored independently.

  • Outfit components: Dragon Gloves and Dragonsuit applier from Sith Lady Outfit V2 by Xtra Ordinary (XO); Armtech Mk2, Backpack Mk 2, CLT Gadget, Mask 7M, and Regulator by Sole (Marketplace only); Holocle Visor by PsiNanna (Marketplace Link); Disc, Arm Cuffs, Belly Buckles, Chest Buckles from G369 Gravity and Pocket Belt from G566 Widow by Graves
  • Hair: Medusa Cyber Hair by A&Y
  • Boots: Foxy by Blueberry
  • Poses:  Candy pose 2 by K&S; crossed hands 1 and female-09Fby Lumipro

Have I hooked you yet on the fun that can be had with mixing and matching? Cheers!

The Black Widow

The theme of the weekend dance at Sisters of Eden this past Saturday was Heroes and Villains, and in honour of the new Avengers movie, I decided to come as one of my favourite characters — the beautiful Natasha Romanova, the Black Widow.  Fortunately for me, Xtra Ordinary had just the perfect outfit!

Black Widow comes with fitmesh jacket, corset, boots and combat belt, bento gloves and Maitreya and Omega appliers for the catsuit.

Decorative mesh pistols are also included that are initially configured to attach at the utility belt (holstered).  These guns are non-scripted decorations only, and do not include holsters.  Note that the vendor art depicts held pistols and holsters: these are not included, but are the Raven pistols from Breach, and can be found here.  For the above shot, I simply attached the right-hand pistol to my hand, and did a little editing to adjust the position just right.

I also found that I had to be careful on applying the catsuit layer on my Maitreya body: if I applied to the clothing layer, I’d have conflict (poke-through) between the catsuit and the corset.  Application to the underwear layer worked just right, however.

I’d been wanting a good Black Widow costume for quite a while: I’m so glad to have found Xtra Ordinary.  They have some incredible things at wonderful prices, a few of which I’ll share with you in the future.

Mahalo!  A hui hou!
