Harley

You have to admit, the current world health situation is not the best thing, but while we’re still under stay at home orders, at least here in SL we have some generous creators offering us FREE stuff via the Stay at Home Club!

This corset comes in sizes for Lara, Isis, Venus, Freya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, plus standard sizes for classic avatars.  It also comes with a HUD that gives you twelve choices for the panel colors, six light for a lot of contrast, and six dark like the one I’m wearing here.  The HUD also gives you some colors for the laces and the eyelet metals.

I paired it with the first set of low rise pants I came across in my wardrobe.  These have the boots and jeans as all one piece and the boots certainly go well with the corset!  However, these are pretty old and aren’t available in either the marketplace or the creator’s in-world store, but I’m sure you’ll fine something that matches!

Fantasy Faire 2019: Sundown

A goddess reborn in a city of gold, a living light upon an azure sea.

You may remember this skin from an earlier post, but when I saw the golden Marigold gown that Moonlitecat Creations was featuring for Fantasy Faire 2019, I knew that it would be perfect matched with Fallen Gods‘ water-gold Chronos skin.  And it works out well, Fallen Gods is featuring Chronos at the Faire as well!

I really love the detailing and texturing in this gown.  I can see the shimmer in the folds, even in the still image!  The oblique lighting angles cast some wonderful shadows that enhance the lay of the gown.

The evening light fades, the belt of Venus girdles the city, and the darkness closes in… but the light that is within shines bright.

  • <unknown pose>  (I’m sorry, I apparently didn’t record this one!)

I really love this aspect of shopping and exploring events such as this.  Full-up avatars are one thing, and full-up outfits are cool, but I really love finding things that go with other things and creating my very own look.

There are so many wonderful things at Fantasy Faire, and every one helps contribute to the fight against cancer.  With 16 sims, you can always get in somewhere and have a look around.  Fantasy Faire 2019 is only here until May 5, and there is SO MUCH to see.

Moonlight

There’s just nothing like moonlight on a beautiful night, the scent of flowers on the evening breeze and your love’s hand in yours.

Shimmering Moonbeams is another lovely outfit from Moonlitecat Creations in three parts: a top in the standard sizes in both rigged mesh and fitmesh, and a skirt and shawl in rigged mesh plus fitmesh for Maitreya Lara, SLink Physique, and Belleza mesh bodies.

Moonbeams has the iridescent shimmer of opal.  Add some rainbow eyeliner from VileCult for that extra little touch — Aeon is always happy for more colour!

This little outfit was another I picked up from Moonlitecat Creations with that Advent giftcard!  It pays to follow your favourite vendors!  I hope that you all have a shimmering bright day, and a wonderful weekend!

An orchid in the moonlight

Sometimes you stumble on a treasure.

I’ve been rooting through an out-of-control inventory lately, slowly whittling it down, getting through old hunt items and advent items I’d not gotten to looking at, and stumbled across a gem in the rough — a gift card in the advent gifts from Moonlitecat Creations!  I went over and picked up Orchid Desires, a lovely cheongsam-inspired minidress.

Orchid Desires features a lovely rigged mesh skirt in the standard five sizes with top (with a lovely laced-up back) and bottom Omega applier layers.  There are five different colours, but you won’t be surprised to know that the green is my favourite.

I’ll admit, I’m not a city girl.  but a visit to the bright lights turns my head.  Moonlitecat Creations has some lovely little pieces, stop by and take a look today!

A Queen for the Desert

Moonlitecat Creations brings us Hatshepsut, a lovely gift in mesh, suitable for any desert oasis.

Hatshepsut_c045

Hatshepsut comes in the standard mesh sizes, and fits pretty nicely.  The skirt is mesh, but dances awfully well for long mesh.

Hatshepsut_c054

Incidentally, Hatshepsut is thought to have been the longest-reigning female pharoah of the Egyptian New Kingdom (ca 1500 BCE), reigning for twenty-one years after the death of her husband, Thutmose II.  She served as king, not queen, having herself depicted on monuments with the male pharonic beard and kilt, and rather devoid of female body shape.  Some twenty years after her son, Thutmose III, took the throne, he moved to eradicate her monuments and her name from history — apparently in a move to consolidate his political power.

So, there you go, something new to learn!  There’s a lovely article by National Geographic here.

Stop on by Moonlitecat Creations today!  The group join is free, and their styles are fantastic!
