Comfy Casual

Hello my lovelies! Today I’d like to show you a wonderfully versatile jacket/dress combo outfit from Adorsy called Natasha. Just the jacket by itself is nicely tailored, with a little hanging belt and trim pieces. On top of that, though, it includes a dress that you can turn on or off, and a pair of panties that can be turned on and off as well.

It comes in seven single colors put it is the fatpack that really shines, with 30 colors for the coat, 40 colors for the dress, 30 colors for the panties/belt/pockets, 40 colors for the collars including 10 fur options, and 5 button options and 2 metals. There is also a loose version included for more flexibility with other clothes.

Here I have the jacket in a dark blue with a lovely flower print for the dress, matched up with a pair of starry leggings from Alaska Metro. The jacket allows separate color selections for the collar, the belt, and the pockets/sleeve trim, though I made them all light blue in this shot.

If you’d like a more upscale city look, here is Natasha with a white jacket and a dark blue dress and trim pieces.

For a lighter look, here I’ve gone with a pale shade for the jacket with an ombre dress selection.

Until next time my sweet friends! Cheers!

Summer Casual

Here’s a light and breezy summer dress from Sweet Thing, called Elisa Corset Dress, available at the Kustom9 event through the 15th. It’s available in 18 single solid colors; a six-color camo pack; a six-color ‘galaxy’ pack with constellation patterns; a six-color leopard pattern pack; a four-color pack with test on the top; and a fat pack of all of the singles and smaller packs plus three full pack only designs. Whew! That is one versatile dress!

This is one of the solid colors matched with the wonderfully flexible Faith boots from Mesh Agency.

And a close up of the red color, for a better view of the lovely mesh corset detailing.

And finally, a view of one of the ‘galaxy’ patterns, with lovely constellations all around.

Add one more… One more Addams, that is

Hello dear ones! Today I’d like to feature a few items from Addams, who are right up there on my list of truly quality clothing designers.

Let’s look first as the Carolina Women’s Wool Dress, available in 22 single colors or a fatpack with HUD. It has lovely detail that really catches the light, and the shape is very flattering. Don’t you just want to snuggle up to someone in that? In the coral color I matched it with some pretty over the knee boots from Mutresse called Kaisia, available in an 18 color HUD fatpack with lots of mix and match color parts.

And black is always nice and slimming. Here I wore the Carolina wool dress with the Chetare boots in ebony from Bella Moda.

Addams is also really good with jackets. Here is a casual denim number, Melissa, that opens up nicely around the chest to show off… whatever nice top you are wearing (insert giggle here!).  However I chose to wear my fave Blueberry tank, the Lola; and rounded it off with a neat pair of jeans called Dita from Lapointe and Bastchild (subject of a future blog!)  The Addams Melissa jacket comes in a substantial 41 single colors, or a fatpack with HUD. It has a flopped down hood in back that you can turn on or off, with 16 colors of its own.

Finally, we have a sharp looking leather jacket with woolly collar from Addams called Lulu, available in 14 single colors or a HUD fatpack. It too opens up nicely around the chest area; in this case there is an option for a bra that can be turned on and off. The bra is not quite to my taste so instead I used another goody from Lapointe & Bastchild, a retro tank top that will be in that future post too!

That’s it for this time, my lovelies! Cheers!

The Black Widow

The theme of the weekend dance at Sisters of Eden this past Saturday was Heroes and Villains, and in honour of the new Avengers movie, I decided to come as one of my favourite characters — the beautiful Natasha Romanova, the Black Widow.  Fortunately for me, Xtra Ordinary had just the perfect outfit!

Black Widow comes with fitmesh jacket, corset, boots and combat belt, bento gloves and Maitreya and Omega appliers for the catsuit.

Decorative mesh pistols are also included that are initially configured to attach at the utility belt (holstered).  These guns are non-scripted decorations only, and do not include holsters.  Note that the vendor art depicts held pistols and holsters: these are not included, but are the Raven pistols from Breach, and can be found here.  For the above shot, I simply attached the right-hand pistol to my hand, and did a little editing to adjust the position just right.

I also found that I had to be careful on applying the catsuit layer on my Maitreya body: if I applied to the clothing layer, I’d have conflict (poke-through) between the catsuit and the corset.  Application to the underwear layer worked just right, however.

I’d been wanting a good Black Widow costume for quite a while: I’m so glad to have found Xtra Ordinary.  They have some incredible things at wonderful prices, a few of which I’ll share with you in the future.

Nicki

The Shop Your Heart Out event is on at the moment, and being close to Valentine’s Day, the event is celebrating that theme.   There are lots of FREE gifties to be found, so if you can get into the sim, you can pick up some really nice things!

I’m showing off three gifts from the event today.  Firstly, the ruched dress from Erratic.  Erratic is one of the more expensive designers in SL.  I love some of their clothing, but it’s priced so steeply, I can’t justify buying too much (for example, at the event is a really nice set of lingerie, with each piece sold separately.  To buy the entire set, you’re looking at over L$1000.  And that’s discounted!  Yipes.)  So when the chance comes to get a gift from them, I grab it 🙂

The dress is only for Maitreya Lara.  And of course, being this pink, I had to forgo my normal redheadedness.  Fortunately, a gift from the event came to the rescue!  This hairstyle is from Magika, and is only in this color, but it’s perfect for this outfit!

And finally I added a choker from Rebel Hope.  It has fitmesh sized for Lara, Belleza, and Physique, as well as an eight color HUD, four for the choker, and four for the metal.  It’s not often I can make up an outfit from three designers at a single event, but I did it today!

A little crafty…..

Melora at Oubliette has a beautiful little combo of separates inspired by The Craft for the latest round of Suicide Dollz!

  • Oubliette — Essential Lace Bralette, (22 colour HUD) (Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Venus/Isis/Freya)
  • Oubliette — Penty Cardigan Sweater (6 colours, sold separately plus fatpack) (TMP/Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass)
  • OublietteDia Skirt (12 colours, sold separately plus fatpack) (Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Venus/Isis/Freya)
  • The Season of the WitchPentacle Necklace
  • The Sugar Garden — Frilly Lace Socks

  • an lar [poses]Tara Mini Series – Two pose

The fatpack HUDs for the Penty Cardiagn and the Dia skirt come with two bonus colours not available separately!

  • Artis — Caged 1a pose

Like all magic spells, this one is fleeting: the current round of Suicide Dollz is over at the end of this week.  Wiggle your nose and magic yourself over today.

A moment of reflection

Something old for the new… something new for the old.  I haven’t posted a lot over the last two weeks, travel for the holidays, getting ready for the new term and some business-related travel.  It’s a crazy time… but it’s also an important one.   The opening of the year is always a bit of a good time for some reflection.

  • Petite Mort — Elona Sweater Dress with lace skirt
  • Mesh AgencyFaith Boots with top socks
  • !!smesh — Star choker and ankle bracelets
  • DRDMetal Heart Vintage Lounge pose

Elona from Petite Mort is not a new release, but it is new to me, thanks to a wonderful Christmas gift from my lovely Blue, complemented by some beautiful new boots from my sweet mamma Jaz!  Elona features a beautiful cable-knit sweater available in 10 lovely earthy colours and an attached white lacey skirt.  It comes fit for Maitreya Lara, Belleza Venus, Freya, and Isis, and SLink Physique and Hourglass!

My boots are Faith from Mesh Agency, and they are fantastic.  They come in sizes for Belleza Freya, Isis, and Venus, Maitreya Lara, and SLink Physique and Hourglass, as well as a resizable unrigged version.  What’s best is a beautiful colour HUD, with fifty choices of boot colour, fifteen sock colours, and four different metal detail choices!

You know, reading a lot of fashion blogs, I’m well aware that there’s a lot of unhappiness at a dearth of fitmesh sizes for Belleza bodies.  I’m so happy to share two wonderful products that have not forgotten Belleza!

My wonderful friends… thank you for being with me through 2017.  I wish us all a wonderful 2018… may it be a year of happy change, a year of growth, a year of peace and wonder.  As a wise man once said, “may it be a damn sight better than the last one”.  Keep dancing, keep laughing, keep loving.

All in time

The Fallen Gods Decennial is on, and WOW are there a lot of exciting things happening!   There’s a huge hunt as well as lots of side events.  One of the little fun things is a little matchmaker fortune-teller booth at Fallen Gods, and you can win the Chronos Coal Black full avatar.  On top of that, the hunt item from Fallen Gods is an alternate skin for Chronos, in water gold.  So I, of course, had to play mix and match with them!   Chronos features a variegated skin, monokini, headpiece, hair, staff, and backpiece, as well as a little swirl of butterflies.  It’s all here!

The full avatar gift from the matchmaker at Fallen Gods includes the Coal Gold skin, but I swapped out the hair for Empty Gold from Magika.  It’s a little more my colour, and still works with the skin!  The backpiece and staff might be a little much for dancing, but are fantastic for making your shining presence known!

Chronos also comes with some bluer-than-blue omega eye appliers,  which are pretty decent, but I happened to pick up a lovely pair of Schadenfreude Moon in my eyes from the recent The Coven hunt, which seemed just perfect for this outfit!

The Fallen Gods Decennial goes on for the whole month of October, but stop by soon!  Enjoy the hunt and all the associated events, there’s too much fun out there to be had!
