Aloha kākou! Hello, everyone!

Sometimes I come across an item and I didn’t even realise it’s what I was looking for — I didn’t even know it was what I needed! The lovely Daughter of Olaf tunic set from Bee and Solace at Silvan Moon Designs is currently at the February Enchantment — and it is just one of those outfits!

Daughter of Olaf is a four-piece outfit: tunic, shift, leggings and girdle for Maitreya Lara only. It comes in eight beautiful colours. I wanted to share the brown with you — it felt just perfect for my huntress. Boots are not included, but I added Silvan Boots (Winter Magic) from [QE], and the look just right. Top it off with a few pieces of jewelry, and I’m all set.

Well, almost all set — a huntress needs her tools, and a few happy pieces make up my arsenal. First and foremost is the beautiful Bow of Galadhrim from from TS Creations. I saw it at the 2020 Fantasy Faire, and just fell in love with it right away. It’s a fully functional combat bow, but I haven’t actually used it for combat, only for costumes.

I’ve got a small hand axe that I also picked up at Enchanted. The Raider Hatchett from [mizu] is a beautifully detailed little piece that caught my eye. It’s the perfect detail to hang on my belt!

There’s something wonderful about putting together costumes, whether you role-play, have a costume contest at a club, or just like trying something different out. Enchantment will be open until March 8, so you have a bit of time to get over and look around. Please do, and have fun!

Aloha kākou! Perhaps we’re still a month off from the Solstice, from Christmas, from Hanukkah, from the Season of Light… but it’s been a difficult year, and the light and hope that that season brings can’t come too early for me.

Bee and Solace from Silvan Moon Designs bring us the lovely Prima Donna gown, a lovely exclusive at Enchanted this month.

Prima Donna comes in seven beautiful colours. I fell in love with several of them… but the holiday feeling hit me so strongly that I just had to share Emerald with you. The Holly crown from .AiShA. and the Pointsettia ‘n Bells necklace and earrings from EarthStones just matched too perfectly to miss!

Aloha kākou!  Hello, my friends!  The Snow Queen awaits you at the latest round of Enchantment, open now until December 2.  I wanted to share the beautiful gown from Silvan Moon Designs, Crystallis.

I usually shy away from pinks and corals — they often clash with my ginger — but I saw Bee’s colours in the Amaryllis style for Crystallis and I just fell in love.  I feel like I’m dressed in the sunset.

I don’t get enough opportunity to wear the Springleaf necklace from Empyrean Forge — it’s a large piece, and definitely requires a strapless gown — or at least a broad expanse of chest — so that it’s not crowded.  It works perfectly with the Crystallis gown.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!  If you are able, recharge, rejuvenate, refill with peace and strength for the week ahead.  If you are not able, find some time to breathe and take in a little peace…  and that rejuvenation time will come.

Aloha, my friends!  A couple of treasures to share and a couple of events to mention on this lovely Friday!  First, let me share the Lady Tiana gown from Silvan Moon Designs, exclusive for Enchantment!  Enchantment takes you to the New Orleans bayou celebrating The Princess and the Frog, and Solas and Bee have created the perfect gown in commemoration!

I really loved how the hairpin flower from Geist and the Leah jewelry from*AvaWay* carry the organic floral motif of the gown.

These events won’t last forever!  Both the Okinawa Summer Festival 2018 and Enchantment last through the end of August!

Falling into Wonderland

It’s time for a little Enchantment, and Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs bring you Iracebeth of Crims, a beautiful new fitmesh gown modeled after the Red Queen in celebration of Enchantment‘s theme — Through the Looking Glass.  Yes, yes, you can get it in red – but look at the other pretty colours first!

Mad mad props to Astralia, who created this wonderful Alice-inspired set of scenes on their sim!

The gown and jacket can be worn separately, but work so very well together that I have a hard time imagining wearing them independently.  As always, Solas’ fitmesh is perfect, and Bee’s texturing is just exquisite.

A tale as old as time

Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs have created a new magical gown for the latest round of Enchantment.  The theme this round is the story of Beauty and the Beast, and Solas and Bee have created Belle’s Enchanted Ball Gown just for the occasion!

Belle’s Enchanted Ball Gown comes in six lovely colours and fitmesh for both SLink bodies and Maitreya Lara.  Still no fitmesh for Belleza bodies; hopefully Solas will start supporting those soon!

Kerryth at Spyralle really creates some finely-detailed jewelry, and the Like Gentle Tears tiara just magically seems to suit this gown.  Rain features a five-colour HUD that allows you to tint the hanging crystals in five shimmery light shades. 

The Enchantment sim is really something rather amazing, the builders have put a lot of work into creating the scene, and many merchants (such as Solas and Bee) have created lovely pieces just for this event.  Stop by and take a look!

Wickedly Enchanting

Is anything so full of Enchantment as the gowns created by Bee and Solas for Silvan Moon Designs?  The fabulous duo brings you Lady Gothel for the May 2017 Rapunzel-themed Enchantment event.

Lady Gothel comes in five colours named (more-or-less) after the deadly sins.  My favourite colours aren’t hard to spot.  I like strong colours, and greens and blues and purples most of all.

I’ve always been an opaque-gemstone kind of girl.  Opal and lapis lazuli may be my favourites.  I’ve had this lovely lapis set from Evelock for ages, but you would think that Evelock and Silvan Moon worked together to create a matched set.

For those of you who may not know, Mother Gothel, the namesake of this gown, was the “evil witch” who kept Rapunzel locked away in her tower from Tangled, the Disney adaptation of the faerie tale.  She’s an interesting character, but I  prefer the representation from Into the Woods, the faerie tale play from Steven Sondheim.  Something about the depth of the Witch, her fear of loss — her actions become understandable, perhaps even forgiveable.

But I digress.

A faerie godmother’s wish
