Second Life is celebrating it’s 22nd birthday, and celebrations are officially open today.

There are 76 regions full of things to experience!

And of course, the Shop & Hop is on, with 480 creators spread over 24 regions.

FabFree have again done a marvelous job of putting together a spreadsheet listing the gifts available at the Shop & Hop.  Make sure you head over to FabFree’s Info Hub in-world and show them some Linden Love for doing this!

My plan is to wait until Monday SLT, when the crowds might thin out a little as people are back at work in the US and EU.  But I couldn’t resist showing you at least one giftie today 🙂

This superbly detailed lingerie is a gift from deviousMind.  There are fits for Lara and Reborn.  The stockings are BoM, and all the other pieces are rigged mesh (which is good because everything moves with you, but bad because you can’t adjust how tight the pasties are hehe).

This is the lace version, but there is also a satin version in the pack.

As I mentioned, the detailing is superb; I had to take a closeup of the lilies and feathers.

Ride of the Valkyries

The themed party in Eden on the weekend was Journey to Valhalla, and the contest was “Best in Viking or Valkyrie” of course.  Here’s what I wore.

This outfit is a fantastic combination of mesh and appliers.  The mesh chest armor even comes in two styles, one without the feathers around the back of the waist, and one with (worn).  These two parts come in sizes for Lara, Hourglass, and Venus.  The spaulders and modesty cover are unrigged mesh so you can resize them to perfectly fit your avi.  And the skirt is one-size-fits-all.

The rest of the outfit comes on system layers and Omega appliers.  There are a number of combinations here as well, including long sleeve and gloved chainmail, the no-sleeve version I’m wearing, and a long sleeve bare breasted version 🙂  You could wear the outfit without the pants too, lots and lots of options!

The rest of my outfit consists of pieces I already had, you can see them listed below.  But I do want to point out that if you’re looking for a good mesh sword full perm, you can’t go wrong with this one.  There are half a dozen versions in the pack, and they are all for L$0, yes FREE!  Add some materials effects and this one was exactly what I was looking for to match this outfit!
