Finally for my third night out, we are going with an absolutely lovely dress in system layers and prim skirt. While I love all three outfits, if I had to pick, I’d go this one as prim skirts dance soooo well 🙂
Day (or should I say, night) number two, and this time I’m wearing an amazing club dress by Devicious. This is in rigged mesh only, and while this photo was taken with it on Lara, I have to wear it with the standard system body and its associated alpha as the Maitreya alpha HUD, while brilliant, is not going to cope with this…
Let’s do a little thing here with dresses I’d wear out dancing. Three looks over three days. And we will start with new technology and go back to the old days!
First up, a wonderful little dress in fitmesh for Lara. It also comes in rigged mesh and has fitmesh for Slink and Belleza too, and is the prize from Sweet Intoxication on the Twisted Hunt. Fitmesh is the best thing since sliced bread and is making me carefully consider purchases. My two go-to must-haves for outfits that I spend significant money on is fitmesh for Lara, and Omega appliers. Nothing but fit. Hmms “nothing but fit” sounds like a good tagline for clothing. You heard it here first 🙂
Odyssey is a lovely set. A bit of a close-up on the necklace, font and back. The earrings and bracelets feature the same fan design. I think it works very nicely with Siren‘s embroidered motif. One might even think that were planned, given the consanguinity of names!
I love the little pendant in the back of the necklace.
The Twisted hunt is a mighty challenge. But wow, what happy discoveries!
Hair fun! Analog Dog most times have a free “hair ball” (gotta love the pun) down on their beach, which is yours for the grabbing. No group needed, nothing to join, just run and get it. I really like this hair as it’s completely out of the ordinary for me, so I get all types of comments when I wear it 🙂
Their hairs are tint-able via the HUD too, so I’ve used this hair for everything from blondes through blacks in various outfits.
Sometimes you just need to do something different.
In search of that ‘different’, my good friend Whit has decided to stop blogging after two years, and she’s been an inspiration to me here. I can’t tell you how much I’ll miss her wit (heh) and her mentoring. One of the things that she always enjoyed was pairing music with her fashion posts… so in her honour, a song from an obscure little band that I don’t know if anyone else has ever heard. 🙂
For me, ‘different’ is a little bit less dramatic – but only a little bit! Solas at Blue Moon Enterprises brings Darcy to Fair Play for the month of March. Darcy is available in Slink and SL fitmesh, and it’s perfect!
Light pink typically does not go so well with my colouring, so a little trip to the salon was necessary. Blond? well, it’s something different.
Blue Moon also offers the Rose Crown as a lovely little gotcha gift, available only at Fair Play.
I’m going to go back to my ginger, but it is certainly a bit different seeing myself as a blond. It’s amazing how strongly little things – hair and eye colour for an avatar – can change the way you see yourself — or at least, the way that I see myself. In any case, be sure to stop by Fair Play before this lovely little number disappears!
The Women’s Stuff Hunt is on at the moment and I wanted to quickly show you this bikini, which is the prise from Rayne. This is another one that I really wish was fitmesh for Lara, but it just comes in standard rigged mesh with some additional “curvy” sizes. It won’t displace my fav, but it is nice!
This week’s group gift from The White Armoury is the lovely Mists of Arador. It’s a lovely all-mesh gown in separate top and skirt pieces, with optional puffy sleeves, as well as matching bracelets and a brooch at the waist.

In this day and age, I always test first against my Slink Physique mesh body. That is how I feel that I look my best! I have no problem with the standard SL body, although I’m loathe to use SL hands or feet.
Arador was not specifically designed for mesh body: it features the standard five mesh sizes plus a SL fitmesh size. I find that the XS fits the Physique body best, while the SL avatar works well with the XXS.
As with many similar meshes, I have problems with the straps on mesh tops/gowns at my shoulders: they sink beneath the skin on the Physique, and are too thin to use alpha zones. I haven’t shown that here (the rear view shown below is with the standard SL avatar body), but long hair easily hides the glitch.
It really is a fine gown, and a lovely addition to my wardobe. Mahalo to The White Armory for such a fine gift!
This is the January group gift from Ghee, still available in store. Ghee is L$250 to join, but oh my the talented designers working there make it very worth it to be a member! The outfit includes the winklepickers for Slink High, and with an over the shoulder bag, I’m all ready for a few business deals!

I was just sitting around and noticed how nice the play of light was, so here’s a quick photo in our garden at home. I’m wearing one of my “walking around” outfits here, the same one that’s in my profile photo. A corset over jeans (well, leggings in this case) is always a fun look 🙂
