Rowena Springflower has long been one of my favourite designers.  In a world of exorbitantly priced single-colour/texture items and fatpacks for a very modest discount,  Rowena has long featured lovely mesh with included texture-selection HUDs for a reasonable price.     

You may know that I rarely wear high feet/heels, but these coordinating heels are really quite lovely.

Here’s a group gift top from Scandalize.  It uses the same mesh as a previous GG, but as it’s nice lace, I don’t mind at all 🙂

The top comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, Hourglass, and Lara.

I paired it with a pair of black pants and a ribbon choker, and I think this color hairstyle works really well with this look.

Vamp it up

The SL vampire culture is rather large.  While some people have a lot of fun with it, there can also be really irritating aspects of it for us non-vampires, in particular, Bloodlines.  For the uninitiated, the Bloodlines HUD lets you “bite” people with their consent.  Thank all the powers it asks you for permission!  Unless you’re willing to become party to this thing, just ignore vampire bites (or better yet, ignore them and block the user).  Unsolicited vampire bites are a pain in the butt… umm neck.

Having said that, there are a lot of shops catering to not only the vampire culture, but to the Gothic theme in general.  One in particular is “The Little Bat”.  I really like this store, they have quality things for sale and there is always something good on their Midnight Mania boards and group gifts.

While I’m certainly not involved in Bloodlines, it’s fun to dress up for themed parties, and you can never have enough outfits (at least I can’t lol).  You never know where you will be invited to next in SL, so it pays to be prepared 🙂

This outfit consists of the pants and the top in standard rigged mesh sizes.  It comes with a HUD that lets you set the color theme for each individually.  Also from TLB is the coffin choker I’m wearing, which also comes with a HUD to let you change the color of the coffin.

My hair was a Midnight Mania win, and my makeup and skin were collected over time as lucky letter wins and MM wins.

Having dissed Bloodlines at the start of this post, I used one of their sims as a setting for this photo shoot.  As I said, it can be a little bit of fun.  Just don’t try and bite me 🙂

Evil ways

I’m not so sure what’s so evil about this gorgeous little dress from Entice?  Fall is certainly just around the corner, and I think this is a wonderful design for the season.  I’m actually doing a Farewell Summer event at Eden on Saturday 2-4pm SLT, and the contest will be “Best in Summer Dress”.  I was going to wear another dress, but I might just wear this instead now!

The dress is just standard size mesh, but it works perfectly on my Lara shape, even without an alpha.

The dress also comes with a three texture HUD, and if you like, you can texture the top and skirt separately.

I like the fall colors in the first two pictures, but the purple is very nice too 🙂

This is a daring dress from Xtravagance!

It comes in sizes of Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Hourglass, and Physique.  It also comes as an experimental model for Lara, which means the creator probably is doing the rigging by eye.  It works pretty well.  Finding non-alpha blend modesty layers is a must 🙂  I wore a long hair to cover my breasts but ummmm I wouldn’t wear this in public on anything other than an adult sim lol

I scooped some gifts at the first anniversary of Fashion Dazzle the other day, this amongst them.  The theme is black and white, and while I’ve shown you some group gifts before from TRS, but this might be one of their better dress designs.  I love zebra things 🙂

The dress comes in standard sizes and fitmesh sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and Lara.  It’s all one piece unfortunately.  I’d love it if the top was separate!

Yellow Ruffles

This cute little dress (or top, it’s short enough to wear over jeans) was a win from Albino Peacock’s MM board the other day.  They make some lovely stuff, you should go and check them out!

All the ruffles suggested putting a set of wings with this, so I did 🙂  The dress comes in standard sizes, plus fitmesh for Physique and Lara.

The semi-sheer ruffles are a lovely detail, and certainly make the dress!
