After showing the lovely Queen Frani to you previously, I thought I’d share my own outfit for the Sisters of Eden Autumn Queen Dance.  I’ve blogged the base outfit before, but added a bit to create an angel of autumn?  A fall fae?  Can fae have feathered wings?

So, sometimes you get lucky.  Bare Rose created some beautiful bento wings in their “B-Wings“, sold in black and white colours.  Fortunately, they are mod, so I could change the overlay colour.  Be VERY careful, the wings are NO COPY: do NOT try changing the texture, ONLY change the overcolour.  I played around a little bit until I found what looked just like gold to me.  The texture-enabled wings turned that gold into something shining with a hint of metallic glint.  Just… wow.

Persefona‘s Floating Leaves come in a number of different distributions.  They’re mesh, not particles, so they don’t contribute to the kinds of rendering issues and lag (and annoyance) that particle generators can.  They do attach to the body, so they move somewhat rigidly about you, but depending on your use they look absolutely wonderful.  They worked well for my dances at the party!

It’s always lovely when a creator puts together an amazing outfit… but I really love that feeling of putting together pieces from here and there to create your own individualised look.

Bright lights, a stage, and a hot burlesque outfit!

This outfit was from the Reduex event a little while ago, I only just got around to unpacking it 🙂  It comes in standard sizes plus a one-size-fits-all fitmesh version which works very nicely with Lara.

The dress also has a HUD to let you hide the skirt and slip (which if you do. you’re sure not going to want to do the CanCan afterwards lol).

The Queen of the Fall

Blue mentioned yesterday that the Sisters of Eden held their annual Autumn Queen dance this weekend, and our lovely Frani was chosen as the Autumn Queen!  Congratulations Frani!

Frani layered this beautiful gown from Bella Moda with an applier layer from Paisley Daisy to create her ensemble.  It’s a delightful mixture of sheer with a metallic glimmer, and it suits her well!

We’re so happy to have Queen Frani!  Long may she reign!  Well, until the Winterqueen…. but I’m so happy for autumn!

Autumn Queen 2017

Yesterday we elected our Autumn Queen at Eden and I’m so pleased to say it was our wonderful friend Frani!  Yay!

This was what I wore for the event 🙂

I was hunting around for an outfit and I came across this on marketplace.  I couldn’t resist it, it’s a wonderful outfit, and the squirrel is just absolutely over the top cute lol

The top and bottoms are standard size rigged mesh, and the skirt and squirrel both have resizer scripts so you can get just the right fit for your avi.  The mesh skirt is in two parts and the detail is just wonderful.  The outfit also includes some red pumps for SLink high, which I haven’t included in the photos.  And even with all the detail, it’s not too bad on complexity, with all I’m wearing here coming to just under 108K.  A really imaginative job from the creator!

When you hunt and gather clothes and things in SL as I mostly do, sometimes you get great stuff, and sometimes you get a mixed bag.  This outfit is in the latter category 🙂

The applier bodysuit is just so so, but the guns and the shoulder holster are superb!  The outfit comes on system and appliers for just about everything, and also comes with a long sleeve shirt version.   Also in the box are shorts in standard mesh sizes (which just don’t work on Lara), non-rigged boots, and a thigh knife.  The hardware will certainly get a run with some other outfits hehe.

We had a swimsuit party at Eden the other day.  I was going to wear a one piece I’d picked up a while ago, but I showed Aeon what I’d been demoing before I decided to wear the existing outfit.  Overnight, she got me a gift card for the one I’d demoed.  She is a wonder!

Now girls, I’m going to tell you a secret.  If you want something to really fit Maitreya, buy one made by Maitreya!  Simple as that.  This sexy little one piece comes in one size for Lara (obviously) and you can choose from a number of colors including this green, black, taupe, a quite a few pastel colors in between.  Each color is sold separately unless you have the money to burn for the fatpack.

The outfit is marketed as a bodysuit but if this can’t double as a swimsuit, I don’t know what can.  If you have a good pair of fitmesh jeans or shorts, you can easily wear this under them as of course it’s fitmesh, and the fit is flawless.

I’m showing you an old mesh dress today that I rediscovered while sorting inventory.

The dress comes in standard mesh sizes, and while I’m wearing it on Lara here, it’s only really suitable for system bodies with the included alpha if you were going out dancing in it.  The cuts on the Lara HUD is just not quite right for it and I had to pose carefully 🙂

Having said that, it’s a pretty little dress, and you can optionally wear the spikes at the bodice (they come as a rigged mesh attachment), and there is a HUD to color them too.

While the two pictures above show the dress up as nearly black, it’s subtly textured, and the texture shows up much better in world than in my photos.  Here’s an enhanced close-up to show you the detail.
