As the heat of the afternoon fell away and softer breezes blew across the sands, she slipped from the safety of the seraglio and out to visit her hidden oasis… a place of beauty and respite.

I’m a sucker for beautiful silks, diaphanous and flowing.  Caverna Obscura surely has mastered this art, combining fitmesh for those of us who love our mesh bodies with flexiprims for skirts.  Starlight certainly is an excellent example.  I stumbled across it while looking for some white silks for a recent event at Eden, and immediately fell in love.

Starlight features fitmesh sleeves, top, and skirt — each in a opaque and diaphanous fitmesh and rigged mesh version, with flexiprim silks to augment.  But wait, Aeon, you say!  long mesh skirting is horrid for dancing, you always say so!   Ahhhh, but Caverna was thinking ahead: there’s a full flexi skirt in here as well, so that nothing impedes your movement!

All of the floral enhancements (with exception of Persefona’s wreath crown) are separate mesh pieces, and can be worn or left off at your convenience.  This is truly an amazing piece, and a beautiful addition to Caverna’s line.

Join me at the oasis… feel the cool waters at your feet, the lovely breeze at your cheek, whispering through your hair….

It comes in standard mesh sizes, plus fitmesh for Belleza, Physique, Hourglass, Lara, and TMP.

The skirt is fairly transparent particularly at the back lol.  The two alphas that come with the gown mask out your top or the full length, but as I like to have my feet show, I didn’t alpha anything while wearing it on Lara.  This would not go over well at Frank’s 😉

The Santa Rosa fire caused devastation, taking the homes and properties of so many.  Kerryth at Spyralle turned the tragedy of the destruction of the Coffey Park neighbourhood to art in Ignis, a beautiful gown for the Trick or Treat Lane event, in memory of all the joys that lived there.  You can find it at Trick or Treat Lane, but only for a limited time!

There are three beautiful textures, but Ember matched my fiery curls just right.

All Hallow’s is past, but Trick or Treat Lane goes on until November 3rd.  Don’t miss out on this fiery beauty!

Some music, because Whit taught me.  🙂   Will I lose friends for Coldplay?

I know, it’s already all Hallow’s on the far side of the world, but in Europe and the Americas we’re still in the Eve!  Happy Hallowe’en, my lovely friends!  How about a little gift from G Field today?  The wonderful Roodvosje shared Death Girl in her lovely post last week, and I fell so in love with it that I had to share it with you in my own way!

Black is tough to wear — I had to weave special darke magicks about it to keep the white powder sugar that falls from my donuts from showing against it… but the cloak has such a lovely deep crimson lining and beautiful buckle detail!

A quick note about the hood.  Like hats, hoods are tricky, only moreso.  G Field did a fantastic job in leaving enough hair space around the skull, so I was able to find something.  I love Analog Dog, and Val fit very nicely.  I had to do a little editing on some of the strands on the back of my head — you can edit, and go into “edit linked” mode and shrink those pesky pokers and move them individually.  I did a larger piece on this a year or so ago, it’s tricky work but not bad.  FIRST FIRST FIRST, always make a copy of the hair!  The hair will always look horrid when you take the hood off, so you want to work with a copy!

I’m so totally in love with this dress and cloak that I think I’ll keep it about.. for whenever I need to show my darke side.

Skeletons!

After Halloween last year, I picked up this wonderful skeleton outfit.  It’s been sitting in my inventory just waiting for Halloween to roll around again so I could show it to you lol

It’s in classic sizes, and has specific sizes for Hourglass, Physique, and Lara, and it comes in a white on black version too!

Eden has a second Halloween party coming up on the 4th of November, and I’m so wearing this 🙂

Rainbow Dreams

Hashtag have their Spotlight event going on at the moment.  I picked up this little Grecian themed dress along with two other for L$5.  There are some FREE gifts at the event, but most cost a few lindens or so.

While only in standard rigged sizes, this is a very nice dress, and fits Lara really well.

I usually don’t mention locations in my posts, but my shoot location is well worth seeing.  It’s a full sim done as a modern Greece island, and the creator has done a fantastic job.  I recommend that you have a look at it for photo opportunities!

Today I’m showing you the July group gift from Ana Markova.  Most of Ana’s past group gifts are all available at her in-world store, and while the group is L$100 to join, a single outfit like this makes it very much worth it!  And there are over 30 gifts available, with a few for SLF&O too!

The top and skirt are separates so can be worn independently.  There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, Hourglass, and Lara.  There are no classic sizes.

As usual with Ana’s work, the texturing is superb.  The shine on the skirt, while only a texture highlight (not materials) is really convincing!  I love her work, and I own quite a few outfits by her.  If you’ve never checked out her store, it’s very much worth your time if you’re after that sophisticated look.

There are genres and niches in SL that I have no desire to explore, but then again, that’s the attraction of SL for some people; you can be and do things in SL that people feel inhibited to do in RL.  One of those areas, at least for me, is BDSM.  I like my relationships in either life to be on an equal footing, with both partners sharing and cooperating to make things work.  Domination and submission, and certainly sadism and masochism, are things that I can’t imagine, even in SL.

Having made that clear, here’s a BDSM outfit I picked up because of its sheer quality,

The outfit is the current group gift at The Bare Naked Lady Clothing Store, and is FREE on group join (the group is also FREE).  It comes in sizes for Freya, Venus, Isis, Lara, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, and it also included classic sizes in fitmesh.  The mask, hair, crop, flogger, and boots are all included.  I must say I love the hairstyle and will certainly find other uses for that, and the bodysuit too!

As you can see, the bodysuit is fully materials enabled and shines brilliantly as the light catches it.  I’m sure it will get a run at a leather and latex event 😉

I was very happy to discover the other day that Black Swan, a favorite lingerie creator, has reopened a store in-world!  This outfit was a win from one of the the three lucky letter boards (group required, but it’s FREE) located at the store.

I’ve always thought that this creator was one of the best at doing layer clothing, and this is no exception.  There are appliers for Slink, Maitreya, TMP, and Omega, and well as standard system layers.  And looking around the new store, there are mesh items available too!

I think the store is certainly worth a look!  Why not run over there now?!
