While at the Holiday Shop & Hop event the other day, I came across this swimsuit. At the event, the fatpack containing 14 colors was discounted from L$550 to only L$300. I had to get it.
It’s only sized for Maitreya Lara. And while it’s a swimsuit, it’s sort of organic enough to be used as the basis for something interesting like an SF outfit or something.
The fit is well done, although with some really skimpy things like this, wearing it at a G-rated sim would have to be discouraged 🙂
This is the last day of the Shop & Hop event! If you haven’t been there, you should run over as quickly as possible. There are a number of FREE gifts from some of the best designers in SL just waiting for you, five of which I’m showing you today!
First up are these fab thigh boots. They come in fits for Lara, Hourglass, and Physique, and include a four color HUD with two shades in neutral, and a green and a red. The buckles at the back are well done, and you can see them at the end of the post.
Next up, the tied top comes with fitmesh sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, and Hourglass. It also has a HUD to allow color change of the fabric, laces, and metal grommets, with get this! 35 colors for the fabric, 35 colors for the laces, and 7 metals for the grommets! What an awesome gift!
As a redhead, I tend to use neutral makeup options, and since I got my new mesh head, I’ve been looking around for a neutral lippy similar to what I wore with my system head. The ones that came with the mesh head are not quiet dark enough for my liking. So I was happy to find a lippy in neutrals as a gift at the event. It’s a tiny bit too dark, but it’s far better then the ones I’ve been wearing recently. Included in the pack are three shades in the matte shown here, and a gloss version of each too. Also included is the matching eyeshadow. It comes with appliers for Catwa, LeLutka, and Omega, and also on system tattoo layers.
And what can I say about this hairstyle? It’s a fabulously generous gift, with four different rigged mesh options: the normal hair, a “breeze” version where there is some movement in your hair, a materials enabled version that reflects the light, and one with both the breeze and materials enabled (shown). It has two HUDs one offering solid colors and the other ombrés, with 56 colors each ranging from dark as night brunette to silvery white, and all the colors in beween! That’s 112 colors girls! WOW! Now, having said that, it comes with a hair band with two snowflakes on it, but fortunately, the hairstyle is modify. So with some minimal building skills you can hide the hair band and snowflakes by texturing them 100% transparent, letting you wear the hair all year round instead of just for the holidays. Don’t forget to take a backup if you’re going to try this, just in case you mess it up.
Lastly, the necklace I’m wearing is also one of four gifts on offer from this designer. It has fits for Lara, Slink, and classic avatars, which is really nice. It also has a HUD that allows you to select one of four designs for the middle of the coin, and one of six metal textures.

Top and Leggings: No More Leggings and Top by Entice
This is Entice’s Advent gift from Day 7. I’ve photographed these bottoms before in a different color, but the salmon is very nice! (It’s nearly pink, sshhhhh!)
The top and bottoms are separates and come in fitmesh for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, and Physique. They make for a wonderful set of PJs 🙂 The “Dream Girl” writing is on the back of the panties too, and there is also a plain version without the writing, but it’s always is nice to remind that special person 🙂

This figure hugging bodycon dress is only in fitmesh for Lara. It’s plunging back is a highlight, and it pairs wonderfully with the boots that were in another of the Christmas presents!

When I saw the name of the fabulous dress from Maitreya that was one of seven Advent gifts for their customers, I went “steak? what?!?” But of course, “filet” is the steak part, and the translation of “mignon” is “small and pretty; dainty”, which I find a very pleasing name for this dress!
Unsurprisingly, as this dress is made by Maitreya, the only size is fitmesh for Lara.
The matching shoes were also one of the seven gifts from Maitreya. The texturing is fantastic!
This is the Entice Advent Calendar gift for Day 24!
The top and the skirt are separates. Fitmesh sizes include Lara, Hourglass, Physique, Isis, Freya, and Venus. There are also two different versions, the normal one I’m wearing here, and a version where the colours are dirtied up. Both are very nicely done. Entice has certainly been nice to their customers this Advent!
The top suffers from a tiny bit of clipping at the lower strap while dancing but is fine for walking around in, although you better not wear it at a G-rated sim 🙂
Hiding in my inventory I found this lovely sheer gold catsuit. I’d tried it on before when I originally found it, but it wasn’t so impressive over my normal skin. So, searching for inspiration, let’s wear it on my leopardess!
The catsuit is available as system layers and also comes with appliers for Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, Omega, and TMP.
The leopard avi is from Catseye, and comes with a really nicely detailed skin for both male and female avis including Omega skin appliers. It also comes with shapes for both genders, and a curvy “Catty” female shape, plus the ears and tail to complete the look. The sheer gold catsuit looks great against the dark skin. Reow!

You know, the rule about pink and redheads? Well, this slinky little dress is only in this candy pink, and as you may have noticed, I so love my hairstyle at the moment I don’t want to change, so let’s just see if we can get it to work!
This dress comes in sizes for Isis, Freya, Venus, Lara, Hourglass, and Physique, and is a group gift from Salt. The group is FREE to join and there are also other past group gifts available. The dress is fully materials enabled and glitters as it catches the light.
The dress works best in poses that are not too drastic as it’s very difficult to get alpha cuts that work well with it on Lara. So while it’s certainly modeled on a great little clubbing dress, it may not work really well dancing unless you can put up with some level of mesh breakthrough (although I did run it through my dances at home as it works, your mileage may vary).
And oh, this is the second lightest auburn for my hair and in normal lighting the dress tends to look much more silvery than you see it here 🙂
Another year has passed! I forgot to mention that the blog is over two years old (it’s birthday is in late September)!

Blue says: So many things have happened in SL this year! I’ve mentioned before that I love to take this time of year to reflect on the good and what I could have done better. Aeon and I went through a little crisis as I expect a lot of couples do, and looking back, that was mostly my fault for paying more attention to things like involvement with Eden and other various projects, and not enough attention to my lovely wife. Thank you for my wakeup call, darling ♥♥♥
During the year, the owner of Eden appointed me a Head Angel. Angels are a combination host/helper/security officer/builder and all around “do what needs to be done” people. This was a huge honor, as I’ve always done whatever I could to help out with scripting or building or organizing around the club, without expecting anything other than the opportunity to have a good time. Thank you Sabine! I’m sure I’ll be working even more closely with our manageress Nandi that I was previously (she and I winterized the club together a couple of weeks ago. Lots of snowy fun!) Except of course when I need to pay attention to Aeon!
There are lots more stories I could tell you. I relocated our in-world store, I had fun meeting new people from all over the world, I set myself building and scripting challenges (and mostly accomplished them), I had fun finding fashion, wearing fashion, and mostly photographing fashion, and I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the things we found, and maybe you found them for yourselves!
But I better leave room for Aeon to write something so I’ll just wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season, and may the new year bring you peace, prosperity, and love in abundance!

It’s important, this time of year in particular, to take advantage of every last moment to step aside and reflect, to breathe in the peace, to let go of stress. It’s been quite a year of stress for some of us — the outside world of politics and civil unrest seems to wear heavily on many of us right now. Let me tell you — all of you — that I appreciate this more than anything: to be able to talk to each of you, from around the world, to find common ground, to share laughter and stories and love. To be able to hold our own against all the people who say “us first, beware the outsider, you should be very afraid” — to all of them, I say this — you are not stronger than love. Your hatred and fear cannot surpass love.
I am so wonderfully grateful that my family has grown. I have been honoured to have been adopted as daughter of the wonderful Ia and Jaz Silvermoon, who married last month, and are shining and bright. Love shared grows, multiplies, exponentiates. Tack mina mammor, jag älskar er så mycket!
And through all of this, my darling Blue has remained, my wonderful and infinitely understanding bride. For all the grace and laughter and love, for all of the happiness, the new things to learn, the daily frustrations and joys shared.
