And no, I know “darkness” is spelled without an ‘e’, but I really love Angie Sage’s Magyk series, and the idea of darke that she describes.

So here’s a lovely little dress from Oubliette to share with you.  This was a VIP gift from the spring hunt — so I know, a long time back, but a pretty something to share with you.  Oubliette has plenty to help you explore your darke side.

I found this lovely hairstyle from Truth Hair.  Farryn is a lovely loose ponytail, and like all of Truth’s lovely mesh hairs, features a wonderful styling hud that allows you your choice of ponytail location, wisps, and bangs.

If you’re not a member of the Witchwood/Petite Mort/Oubliette group, you really should stop by the sim and join up.  There are regular hunts and other events taking place, and you sure don’t want to miss out again!

Here we mean R2 Fashion, a clothier with a unique style all their own. R2 specializes in sci fi outfits with a definite sexy bent to them and often with a great deal of, shall we say, “transparency”…

R2’s clothes feature slick metallic textures and curve hugging designs. For the Kagura outfit, I added sleeves from Caverna Obscura’s Wistera Wind outfit.

A bonus with Kagura is this adorable electro-bunny light up tail that gently pulses.

The Kachou outfit swirls around the breasts and adds discreet detailing to cover the important bits. As with all of R2’s ensembles, one buys the individual components, usually consisting of at least separate boots, panties, and tops, and the occasional additional parts such as modesty covers.

In the Baika outfit we can see the almost plastic look that R2 achieves, making full use of material rendering.

And finally, in the Seiga outfit, we see more of the sharply defined futuristic lines combined with some elegant curving sleeves, and the teasing transparency at which R2 excels.

The number of colors for each outfit varies, but is generally anywhere from five to eight colors. Fat packs are also available which may include exclusive colors as well. All of the outfits are for Maitreya Lara only.

While R2 has their own store as linked above, they are also a regular contributor at the Collabor88 event, where the components of the outfits are generally available at a lesser price than when in the normal store inventory.

Look at these fantastic burmuda shorts!  I won them on an MM board recently, and as of this writing, they are still available on that board!  Grab some friends and register!

This teddy is from The Forge, whose unique creations I really like.  And this is no exception.  The teddy only comes in a one-size-fits-all fitmesh, but it works really well on Lara.

And the furniture is from Cam on Me.  It has two poses, Languid and Venus (shown).  Both poses are copy, so you can take them and use them in your own furniture or pose stands.  Yay!

I really loved how the hairpin flower from Geist and the Leah jewelry from*AvaWay* carry the organic floral motif of the gown.

As a blogger, I try and stay in touch with things that are happening with new fashions and stores and things that could provide leads for the blog.  I use a newsreader to subscribe to lots of SL related sites among with all my non-SL feeds (I have close to 600 feeds that I skim every day!  I’m a total news junkie!).  One of those feeds is from teleporthub.com, and today’s outfit and hairstyle were found there.

I hadn’t heard of Virtual Diva before (well, I had seen ads for their magazine, but I’d certainly never been to the store before).  Their group is FREE to join and there are a number of past gifts available.

The hairstyle is one group gift, and it’s very nice, looking suitably windswept at the back.  It’s rigged mesh so there are no resize options.  It comes in four shades of blonde, this being the closest to strawberry blonde I could get.  Because of the windswept look, there are minor clipping issues in some poses, particularly when turning your head.  It’s fine for walking around in though.

The dress is also a group gift and comes in standard mesh sizes, and body specific fitmesh for Lara, Venus, Isis, Freya, Hourglass, Physique,and TMP.  There is a nice subtle use of materials to give it a great sheen without overdoing it yay!

This was yet another MM board win!  Lady Luck (and a few calls in SLF&O group chat) have been good to me recently 🙂

The shorts and top are separates, and they both come in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Curvy, Fine, Physique, Hourglass.  Included is a HUD with three colors for the shorts and three for the top.

The mesh detail of the gather at the bottom of the blouse is nothing short of exceptional.  I dither around in Blender making things like telescopes, and while I’ve tried to make some clothing, the magical incantations to rigging have so far eluded me.  I have made some drapes and things that use the cloth simulations in Blender, and I can only think that this was exactly how this top was modeled.  No matter how it was done, it looks fantastic!  I’m glad there are better 3D artists than me out there 🙂
