Second Life is a world where we can be just about anything we want to be. One popular variation of this is to turn back the clock a bit and be a young girl again, with all the innocence and joy that represents. While one can do so with the widely used mesh bodies like Maitreya Lara, there are also more specialist mesh bodies for this as well, such as Tweenster. Here I would like to show you some adorable dresses from Dolly Daydream, who have a delightfully warm pastel color palette to their offerings. Their products are primarily oriented toward the Tweenster body but they have also recently begun adding Maitreya versions, as well as V-Tech.

The Elizabeth dress comes with a 20 texture HUD and also a pair of panties with its own 10 color HUD. I think I’m ready to step into the carriage and be whisked off to a fantasy world of pink!

Elizabeth also comes with both opaque and sheer versions of the dress, which is giggly-cute when the panties are showing through. Hmm, wonder what came in this giant doll case box?

The Summer Florals dress is my favorite, with such happy patterns including these butterflies! And pretty lace sleeves too! The dress includes 12 textures and nine sleeve textures, with the option to turn the sleeves off. The dress also includes cute little shoes with tall leg strappies, in seven colors, though here I used my fave boots, the Candy Lolita.

I think it’s time for a girls slumber party! Kettle corn and pillow tossing and lots of giggles! Who’s in? Cheers!

Ricielli do hunts quite often.  Easter, the owner’s birthday hehe, you get the idea.  They also do a Hallowe’en hunt, and this sleepwear set is from that hunt.  There are 20 hunt items on the 2018 Hallowe’en Hunt, each at L$15, but very nicely, there is a picture showing the contents of each item in case you are on a budget.

The top and bottoms are separates and come in sizes for Lara, Freya, and Hourglass only.

There are minor clipping issues with the bottoms in extreme poses, but the outfit is such a sexy little set, your partner will never notice 🙂

I told you the other day about the in-store hunt at Brii.  This is another outfit from that hunt.

This outfit includes the dungarees, shoes, bangles, bra, and sunglasses.  The dungarees come in stand mesh sizes, plus fitmesh for classic avatars, and body specific fitmesh for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, Curvy, Fine, TMP, and Ocacin.

Sizes for the sneakers also have you covered with Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza all supplied.  The bra is in an Omega applier and a shirt system layer, which covers all the bodies mentioned above.  There’s also a necklace that matches the bracelets that I’ve not worn.

For an easy hunt where the items are L$6 only, this is a pretty amazing outfit!

Winter Kemono

I’ve had my eye on this outfit from Starbright for a while, and with Autumn half over, I thought it was time to buy it 🙂  Please note however, this is only for kemono with Starbright’s kemono torso mod.  It won’t fit anything else.

This is a very versatile outfit!  It consists of the coat, top, shorts, and boots.  There are versions of everything for both the petite and busty torso versions.  It also comes with a multi-texture HUD to change the highlight color, the coat color, and the black of the shorts and boots to white.  However, with most things kemono, there is a full modding kit available via the HUD if you want to make custom textures for it.

Worth pointing out is that all the pockets on the shorts are mesh detail, not just texturing, which is really wonderful.

If you touch the top, you’re presented with a menu that allows you to do a whole bunch of things, including take off pieces of clothing or put them back on.  The menu will let your partner  (or anyone else, if you’re that way inclined) interact with the clothing too.  There’s a configuration notecard in each piece allowing for white and blacklisting, and of course you can lock everything so only your whitelist can get the menu.

The leggings are part of the boots, which come with both animal and human versions.  As this is all mod, you could make the leggings transparent if you wanted to wear the boots without them for some reason.

For L$350, this is a really well done outfit from Starbright!

Sometimes a photo shoot takes you in a direction you hadn’t intended but you end up there as you go along. Such is the case here, where the outfits and settings lent themselves to a, shall we say, ladies of the evening sort of look.

The idea, though, was to do another highlight of how mixing and matching things from your existing wardrobe can give you new looks or new creative ideas. In these shots you can see in terms of accessories and the like there is a lot of crossover. So when you are thinking, “Hmm I want to wear something black, what can I put together?” start sifting through the inventory drawers and experimenting to see what you come up with. You might find yourself going down a whole different path than you had planned. 🙂

Hello lovelies!  I have a really cool jumpsuit from the Womenstuff Hunt to show you today!

This jumpsuit is all one piece, and comes in classic mesh sizes plus fitmesh for classic, Lara, Venus, Isis, Freya, Physique, Hourglass, Curvy, and Fine.  It also comes with three (yes, three) very clever HUDs to allow you to texture it, or not wear parts of it at all!

There are three parts to the outfit, the top, mid, and pants, and each of the HUDs allow you to alpha out (or to set any level of transparency you like for) each piece.  For example, in the above photo, I’ve alpha-ed out the top, changing the look of the outfit completely.

The HUDs are titled “Simple Set” which contains plains, “Vintage Prints” which are sort of retro 70s prints like in these two first photos I’ve shown you, and “Metallics”, which contain patterns similar to the one below.

Each HUD contains ten patterns.  Not only that, but it also contains controls for transparency as already mentioned, and glow.  It even has a tinting color wheel with the ability to save up to eight presets.  And the outfit is materials enabled.  Wow!

As you can see, details like hem stitching haven’t been ignored. A really wonderful hunt prize!

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to show off a gown, but if you take some time to do the Womenstuff Hunt, you’re sure to find a few more lovely outfits like this to fill your wardrobe!

This is the hunt item from Mistique, and it comes in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Physique, Hourglass, Curvy, Fine, and Sofia.

Mesh gowns are never the best for dancing, and I’m not sure if I’d take this one out as it’s missing the inside of the gown, however it’s a lovely gown to photograph!

I know, I know, it’s the middle of Autumn, but you can always find a tropical beach in SL (plus I live in the Southern Hemisphere, so Spring is in full bloom for me).  This is Baja Beach, a new beach sim by Lauren Bentham, and my, is it photogenic!

It’s also the perfect place to show off this one piece and coverup that’s the Womenstuff Hunt gift from KingbalStores.  Both the swimsuit and coverup come in standard sizes for classic avatars, plus body specific fitmesh for Lara, Freya, Venus, Isis, Physique, Hourglass, Curvy, and Fine.

While this is fitmesh, you’re going to get some clipping in extreme poses, and as the back is cut so high, you can’t use any alphas on the back to hide them.  You can barely get some alphas in at the front, which at least hides the worse of it.  I didn’t retouch these pics, but I had to discard a few poses that clipped.

Bikini?

These are billed as a bikini, and I suppose there are, but with the elastic details, boyshort bottoms, and sports bra back, they’re much more suited as sports underwear to me.  The bikini is a group gift from Horntail, and their group is FREE to join.

They are in Lara fitmesh only, and come in six base colors (black, crimson, gray, pink, and powder blue, as well as the white shown).  The elastic is separately tintable via a menu when you wear them, which is an interesting way to do it.  If you don’t want the menu popping up every time you put them on, you can rez them and switch to a specific color and take them back and the menu will be disabled.

Womenstuff 2018

Womenstuff began on the 1st of November, and runs for the entire month, which is just as well as there are 139 stops!  The hunt is virtually free, with all hunt items being L$0 or L$1.

This is a wonderful dress from the hunt, I absolutely adore the pattern!  It comes in fitmesh for classic avatars, and body specific fitmesh for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Curvy, Fine, and eBody.

The asymmetrical neckline means you have to fiddle a little to get your alphas just right, but it’s worth it.
