Last day of the Con!

Wow, I’ve had a great time at the Science Fiction Convention!  I’ve met and talked to some really interesting people, and had the pleasure of demonstrating the new BF Carbon Truss Telescope to some of them, while sharing my enthusiasm for astronomy too.

I’ve also managed to raise a little bit of money for Relay For Life with the generous purchase of the scope by a number of people.  As I write this, the Con has raised over L$1.1 million for RFL!  That’s a fantastic result, and we still have today to push it higher!

A big thank you to Merky (rickmerk), Beth Delaunay (isilmeriel), Starwolff (starwolff2000), and Benjamin Brougham for the sim builds, and all the other organizers, event managers, exhibitors, and helpers that made such a wonderful event possible.  This was my first time as an exhibitor at a major event, but it certainly won’t be my last!

I hope you’ve had time to visit, and if not, this is your last chance as the Convention closes today!  So, run and have a look before it’s all gone for another year!

I’ll leave you with this photo on the bridge of a starship.  Of course, Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup is standard fare between the stars 😉

TP to the Con!

Maddy

The usual inventory cleanup unearthed this fantastic little mini skirt.  I paired it with a top and some boots (of course, boot height makes up for lack of hem length!)

The skirt comes in sizes for Lara, Altamura, Freya, Isis, Venus, Curvy, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP.

It also has a HUD were you can select one of ten colors for the skirt, and from six for the bows.

Iroha

Here’s a lovely little gown that I picked up from Azul!   Iroha is a beautiful satiny gown in a very eastern-inspired floral print.  As is most of Azul‘s wares now, the gown is done in fitmesh with add-on flexies for that perfect dance motion.

Those of you who have followed me know that I love my foil flash tattoo from Alaska Metro <3.  The Iroha gown’s low-cut back perfectly frames the tattoo’s central medallion.  It should similarly showcase any large back tattoo!

The lovely locale is the beautiful Kyoto Kagai.  It’s definitely worth the visit!

Happy Aloha Friday, my friends!  I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Gypsy enchantments

I got to wander around the latest round of Enchantment: The Iron Throne over the past weekend, and while the theme is Game of Thrones, I found the most wonderful separates that just cried out “boho/gypsy chic” to me.  A little mix-and-match and you’ve got a look that is perfect for role play… or for every day.  Well, every day for me, anyway!

I don’t know about you, but I find that working with separates can definitely be more challenging — I tend to forget what separates I have in my wardrobe, and finding pieces that go together can be very hit-or-miss.  But it’s very exciting when it does, and creates a look that is very unique to the individual.

Wretch Lingerie

If you have kemono, you’re probably well aware of this lingerie set from Wretch.  But shhhh, it’s on sale for only L$50 for an unspecified time at Neko City!  Run now if you don’t already have it!

There are sizes to fit the Fitted Torso Busty (shown), Fitted Torso Petite, default kemono, ABC, and Rei.

The HUD is pretty amazing.  You can color the body, straps, bow, frill, and ties at the back all separately.  The first page of the HUD has a number of presets (like black, white, pink, peach), but you can use a universal color picker to tint them to your liking, or even load your own custom textures into the HUD (yes, a dev kit is included!)

If that’s not enough, you can switch the body material to a number of difference lace patterns, and control the lace transparency.  This, like a lot of kemono clothing, is a very customizable outfit.  And at L$50 on special, it’s an absolute bargain!

The telescope in action

If you haven’t visited the SL Sci Fi Con 2019 yet, you are missing out!  There is some absolutely wonderful creations to see, not the least is the landscaping done by the build team!

There’s a hunt, a puzzle involving purple C3PO statues around the event (yes, purple!), live DJs, and more!

Don’t forget to donate what you can to Relay For Life when you visit, it’s a truly worthy cause!  (You can donate by voting for the Blue’s Fantasy booth hehe)

Blue’s Fantasy Carbon Truss Telescope (marketplace link, but please visit the Con until the 26th of May!)
