In an upcoming event at Eden, we have a Best in Florals competition.  While I was browsing for an outfit for this Saturday’s event, I came across this dress for kemono.  I’ve bought an outfit from this creator before, and while it was nice, I was a little underwhelmed with it, so much so, I didn’t photograph it.  So I approached this one with caution (as the creator offers no demos).

However, this worked out really nicely!  For your L$50, you get four versions of the dress, all sized for kemono with the fitted torso.  The difference is the use or lack of materials.  I’m wearing the one with full materials enabled (which is very subtle in a photograph), and it looks excellent.  My only niggle with this dress is it’s a tiny bit loose below the arms, but it’s hardly a drastic problem at L$50.

Overall, I’m quite happy with this dress, and will certainly wear it to the event!

 

 

Changing colors

The Change of Colors Hunt is on, and runs through until the end of September.  I found this great little autumn punk outfit for L$1.

It comes in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and fitmesh for classic avatars.

The top and skirt are separates, so you can mix and match, although with this great combo, I’m not certain why you would. I paired the outfit with some thigh high strappy boots, and grr, I can’t show you where to get them from…

Today, I’m showing you a nice dress that would be great in a business setting if it wasn’t a little on the short side 🙂  Perhaps as a hostess at a nice upscale bar or nightclub…

The outfit is a group gift for teleporthub.com members.  The teleporthub group is a tiny L$10 to join, and there are literally dozens of group gifts scattered around the grid for you to pick up once you do.  I certainly like the group as a way of finding new stores.

The dress is all one piece, and the detailing is really nice, including buttons, seam details, and a very good pattern.  It comes in sizes for Lara, Hourglass, Physique, and Altamura.

Compared to last month’s birthday extravaganza at Uber, I could only find one FREE gift to show you this month.

This dress is a free demo gift in this one blue fade color.  The store carries a number of colors and patterns however.  It’s only in sizes for Lara and TMP, and the leg strap is included for both sizes in silver and gold hardware.

My friend Shai and I were having fun at an amusement park, and I liked her silly bunneh outfit so much I told her I wanted to photograph it for the blog, so here she is again in all her bunny glory lol

Shai sure puts some thought into her outfits, and this is no exception.  I’d be here for hours describing all the details!  So, if you’re keen to pick up anything she’s wearing, please make sure you try a demo first, as I’m not listing sizes here.

I found this minidress hiding in my inventory while cleaning up 🙂

The textures are super, with excellent seam details and subtle materials.  I love it when creators get the realism right 🙂

SLF&O Bandeau

Hello lovelies, today I’m showing you a group gift for SLF&O members that I picked up a while ago from Smesh.

The outfit is just the top and tunic, and it comes in sizes for Lara, Altamura, eBody Curvy, Hourglass, Physique, Venus, Freya, and Isis.  Both pieces are white, however, the tunic picks up environment colors due to the alpha texture, so it appears blue because of my lighting here.  You can see in the picture below how it fades to white at the back, and it will appear like this unless you have advanced lighting on with all the bells and whistles 🙂

The Autumn Queen

By many reckonings autumn has not yet begun, but for many of us the feeling of change is in the air, and we start looking forward to the turn of summer to fall.  The Sisters of Eden appointed our new queen this past weekend, and our newly-crowned Sister was gracious enough to let me take an hour of her time for photographs.

Ladies and gentlemen, with your permission, let me present to you the Autumn Queen, her royal floofiness, Kie Dagger!

Queen Kie is wearing the Fall edition of the Demeter Gown from Evie’s Closet.  Demeter is rigged mesh in four sizes with add-on flexis to create the gown.  While rigged mesh is a bit old-school these days, flexis are the best way to create a gown that’s good for something other than standing still for a photograph in.  Evie certainly has created some amazing gowns, and this look is absolutely gorgeous.

Queen Kie is the perfect neko.  Her tail and ears from Fluffy Bushy appear to be no longer available, but the whole ensemble (skin, gown, tail & ears and hair) work beautifully to create her elegant look.

There are stressful times as a photographer and there are easy times.  I was very glad that Luane of Luane’s World Poses had already converted her sim to autumn.  Luane’s World is a beautifully decorated group of sims, and it’s the perfect backdrop to many of my photo shoots.

Believe it or not, autumn is one of my favourite times of the year.  There is a special beauty — beyond the brightly coloured leaves, beyond the pumpkin spice everything.    Our lovely Queen embodies that peace and quiet grace.   I wish you all a wonderful Autumn!
