A fair breeze

A flutter of wings, and a lovely dress for the coming spring!  Solas at Blue Moon Enterprises has made a wonderful contribution to Fair Play, the fantasy extravaganza running now to the end of February.  Breeze as an lovely design to bring out your inner nymph!

Breeze comes with two fitted mesh versions – one fit for the standard SL avatar, the other fit to the Slink Physique body.

BlueMoon_FairPlay_022

Breeze features four lovely colours, from forest (which you surely knew would be my first choice!) to the brown shades of earth, black night, and blue river.

Blue Moon has really made an impression on me with the attention to detail.  I love the lacing on the bracers, as well as the embroidered celtic knots on the corset.

My wings are a lovely layered group from Bakki Beeswing at Fable Workshop.  Bakki makes some beautiful wings, and does some very nice work in layering different wing sets to produce a full multi-textured effect.  Yes, I am wearing all three of those sets of wings simultaneously!

Let me fold my wings to show you the detail on the back of the corset.

I really appreciate mixing and matching.  The poncho collar is a separate piece and is easily removed for the bare-shouldered look.  I particularly like the included leggings – and the ability to do without on the warmer days.  Now, a quick word of warning – in the above pic, I’ve mixed the earth leggings with the forest outfit.  That really sets off the brown embroidery in the corset and bracers!

Breeze is currently available at Fair Play until the end of February.  I thoroughly encourage you to stop by and take a look, and please visit Fable Workshop as well!

Victorian Charm

Well, it’s been a busy few weeks, but I finally managed to get the latest gift from Blue Moon Enterprises!  Lady Charming is a lovely all-mesh skirt and jacket, with independent ruffles at the wrist, a lovely gauzy scarf, and a fine top hat to cap it all off!

LadyCharming5

Hats are always tough in SL, but Lady Charming’s top hat is not hard to fit well – although a good choice of hairstyle is important!

LadyCharming4

Despite the chill, I thought I’d doff my hat, and tie my hair up in a ribbon.  The ribbon is HUD-driven, and comes with A&A’s Evelyne hairstyle.  I really love this cut, it’s just a bit sassy, and perfect for costumes from Steampunk to Flapper (as you’ve seen here before), or just wearing around the town.

This gift has been around all January, so time is likely running out!  Stop by Blue Moon, you won’t be disappointed by the steampunk and fantasy apparel!

Aloha, all!

Knitted and wrapped

It seems the perfect weather in RL for this lovely wrap dress from Fi’s Creations – a lovely warm soft knit, short and sexy, and perfect for those cooler days.

Fi-sweaterdress_002

WRAP ME is all mesh in the standard 5 sizes, and fits my Physique frame nicely!

Fi-sweaterdress_014

I love the texture here.  Can’t you feel the warmth, the softness just looking at it?

Fi-sweaterdress_007

Fi makes it easy to not just customise the dress and boots to your own tastes, but to the occasion.  The dress comes in two different palettes, with three dress colours and eight ribbon/bow colours in each.  The boots are available in white, black, and brown (shown) versions, with a full set of trim colours included in each.

Fi-sweaterdress_HUDS

I had a great deal of fun mixing and matching different colour combinations… but the green and blue definitely suit me best!Fi-sweaterdress_004

I don’t usually think of myself as a spray-and-pray photographer, although digital photography in RL has made that a very easy way to get good shots (as long as you don’t mind looking through a hundred bad ones to find that one good one).  I do tend to take more than a few shots trying to get the one.  It’s definitely fun to line up the shots, and get them just so.

Emerald Beauty

It must be something about the holidays – the elegance of a ball, gowns and tuxedos gracing every form, spinning about the ballroom floor?  Doesn’t everyone attend holiday dances in full gowns in Real Life?  Perhaps not… which may be what draws us to such finery here.  In any case, Fi’s Creations brings us an elegant multi-piece gown with a wealth of options to suit the individual.

ClassicBeauty_004

The Beauty gown comes in separately sized corset and skirt (all 100% mesh in five standard sizes).  The skirt features a gauzy overskirt (‘frills’), and all three items are individually colourable by HUD.

ClassicBeauty_006

The Beauty gown is available in two colour pallets – ‘Classic’ featuring five bold colours, and ‘Pastel’, featuring five more muted shades.  As a thank-you to her VIP members, Fi offers that group access to a sixth choice!

Fi's Creations - BEAUTY Gown - HUD

Each of the colours may be mixed and matched to give that perfect individual look for you.  As you might have noticed, I’m a big fan of greens for some reason!

The shawl is available separately, and comes in opaque, semi-transparent, and transparent textures (I’m wearing the transparent, I always tend to get warm while dancing).

All items are available at the Designer Circle where they are on a special reduced price until January 9.

I’ve chosen a rather simple yet elegant accompaniment for Fi’s Beauty – the Summer Leaf collection from Spyralle.  Why summer?  This is the Solstice, after all, a time in the darkest part of the year to celebrate new life, to celebrate the turning of seasons, to look forward to the Sun!  What better augmentation could I choose?

Lastly, a word on the locale of these shots.  This is the lovely  Christmas at Buckingham Palace exhibition, the perfect locale for such fancy dress.
ClassicBeauty_009

I’m not sure who’s portrait that is, but she surely couldn’t have had such a wonderful time as I.

A Fae Find From Fi’s Creations!

I’m happy to announce that I’m joining Fi’s Creations as an official blogger!  Fi has a lovely collection of clothing, landscaping items and home decor.

Fi’s offers this lovely Elven Dress as their hunt gift in the ongoing Elven Forest hunt.  The Hunt runs through the end of December, and is free and gridwide.  You can find a complete list of stops with pictures here.   Fi’s mesh dress comes in the standard five sizes, with a gauzy flexi skirt and matching wings included.

FiFae_002

FiFae_004

I’ve accessorised with a haku lei from Island Style Designs, and my favourite opal necklace and earrings from Earthstones, which really complements the colouration of the dress.

FiFae_017

The included wings are lovely for a photoshoot, but are unscripted and rather rigid to wear in-world.  I thought I’d try replacing them with some of my favourite wings from Fancy Fairy.

FiFae_013

Folding my wings leaves the dress on it’s own, a lovely look for the garden or a night out on the town!FiFae_018

Please stop and take a look at Fi’s Creations, I’m sure you’ll be pleased with what you find!  Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go finish this hunt!

Mahalo, and aloha!
