When ice and flame get together, something is going to get steamy.  Dressed by Lexi is sending up risque sparks with Risque, group gift for the month of January!  Quick, there are only a few days left!

I decided to augment this with a lovely necklace from an older outfit by Lexi.  Tantalise features a colour-change HUD to match the dress, a necklace and earrings as well as arm cuffs.  The low pendent back of the necklace is perfect for Risque’s low back.

Risque is offered in Omega appliers and standard layers for that sexy painted-on look.  It features beautiful flexi skirting, giving the gown that beautiful swish that is absolutely glamorous at the ball.

I don’t know about you, but Advent leaves me with a mess of an inventory that I slowly work my way through!  Baby Monkey had a delightful suite of gifts for Advent 2016, including the lovely Raffaela sweater dress and boots. 

You’ve seen me with .wound‘s ribbon choker before — it’s one of my favourite pieces.  It comes in three different HUD-driven palettes — vibrant, dark (shown) and a neutrals.  Each one comes with unscripted and RLV versions.  Unfortunately, while the RLV version works, it’s an older RLV script and is not updateable.   Nevertheless, this is the best ribbon I’ve found!

The high suede boots have a lovely little shroud at the heel.  Maybe not practical in the snowy slush… but oooo so cute!

A splash of warmth

Yes, I can celebrate the ice and snow one day and the warmth and the surf the next — or a couple days later, anyway!  Spyralle‘s lovely mu’umu’u is perfect for enjoying the late afternoon Sun.  And it’s just perfect to welcome Oahu back to SL.  I don’t know how long it’s been back, but this happy little sim holds a place dear to my heart, and I was sad when it closed up about a year ago!

Ice storm

I know, Christmas passes and many of us take down the lights, we put away decorations, we start thinking of spring…. but spring is a long way away, and Winter still has a lot of beauty to share.  Glitter has a lot of beauty to share, too — Queen of Ice was one of their Advent gifties, and it’s too beautiful to keep to myself.  🙂

Queen of Ice features Omega and Belleza appliers with beautiful flexi add-on bits for the gown and veils.  It features a high neckline which let me get away with the beautiful Heart of the Sea from Zuri, a beautiful gift from a more beautiful friend.  Heart features a HUD with a choice of gemstones!

There is a lot of sparkle in the Winter… icicles and snowflakes.. and while we may get tired of the cold, remember that the heat will come all too soon.  The magic is all around us!

A ranger for a silvan moon

A silvan moon?  Is that like a Forest moon?  or a little nod to the passing of Gene Cernan?   Certainly the Ranger probes didn’t land among the trees.

No, it’s a desperate attempt to come up with a clever title to share Silvan Moon Designs‘s beautiful Ranger of Islavare.

Daisy Wreath from Caverna Obscura is an old favourite, but the Family Tree of Life pendant is a lovely new item from Earthstones.  It features a choice of metal options, plus three gems that are independently selectable from the “standard” set of birthstone colours.

Ranger of Islavare is featured in five different colours — four of which are shown here.  Shadow (shown at the top) is a lovely black theme, and below you can see Hunter (sagey green), Brooke (dark blue), and Rune (aqua).  There’s also Secret, a beautiful dark red (not shown).

Ranger features the dress, leggings, cloak and matching boots (not shown here).  Dress and leggings are available in the five standard rigged sizes plus standard, Slink Physique and Maitreya fitmeshes.  There are also standard layer and Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya appliers for the leggings to help you work better with legging/boot conflicts.

Shimmering like snow

Aloha kakou!  It has been a busy holiday season and I’ve been too long away — visiting family and then a research conference and the start of the term kept me awfully busy.

But I’m back to show you a lovely reissued gown from Spyralle.  Chione was a daily advent gifty back in December, and features a flexi skirt and new omega appliers!  Long time readers know how much I like a flexi skirt for dancing.  They just look so much better than long mesh!

I think that I have showed off the Twinkling Lights jewelry — earrings, bracelet, anklet, and necklace (not shown) — in an earlier post.  I’ll admit I wear them every chance I can get in this snowy season!

I hope that you had a wonderful season.  I know some of us will be happier for the end of cold and snow (I will be for the sake of getting to run outside again!) but I still love cuddling up in front of a warm fire while it’s snowy outside — or taking a nice walk in a snowstorm with that someone special.

Snowflakes and Sparkle

Two lovely little winter treats for you today — a beautiful little snowflakes jumper and some amazing jewelry from Earthstones!  The jumper is an older one group gift from Calamitous Intent, but is a favourite for the cold winter months. 

I’ll readily admit, I love sparkle.  Not cheezy bling, but beautiful sparkling lights.  So when I saw the beautiful Twinkling Lights jewelry at Earthstones, I completely fell in love.  There is a necklace, earrings, bracelet and anklet, sold separately so you can choose what you love.  I love them all!

As you might expect, Twinkling Lights is a little script-heavy, but it’s not bad — just be warned that if you are on a heavy-traffic sim (a busy club?) and they monitor scripts, you might be up high on the board  🙂  BUT the sparkle is beautiful, and I’ve been wearing it mostly non-stop since I got it!

8-bit Holiday Cheer

You know that bit where you find a creator that gets you?  Someone who understands your style?  I’ll admit I’m lucky to be sponsored by a number of such wonderful artists here on the blog, but let me squee a little bit about Eclectic Stars.

8-bit Christmas is a lovely version of Eclectic Stars‘ Shifty dress.  I do so love a sweaterdress and tights in the cold months!  I’m even more amused because the 8-bit-style images both evoke the `old’ days of computer graphics… but also fit in just fine with sweater graphics limitations!

Aloha, na hoaloha!  I’ve been wanting to share with you some of the treasures from Spyralle‘s advent calendar.  They’re utterly amazing beauty, and Kerryth has made them even better — and is giving them to you for the Holiday season!

So, You’re probably familiar with Spyralle‘s beautiful art and some very pretty mesh.  Kerryth created a lot of beautiful SL layered items featuring flexi skirts.  Well, she’s updated the SL layers, creating Omega appliers for them.  Now she’s been updating the flexi skirts as well!  And they’re your gift for being a Spyralle member!
