Fantasy Faire 2018 — Silvan Moon Design’s Moonstone

The 2018 Fantasy Faire is here, and there are SOOO many goodies to share with you over the next week! Let’s start with this beautiful one from Silvan Moon Designs!  Moonstone may be my favourite gown out of SMD in quite a while — and that’s saying something!

Moonstone comes in three pieces – skirt, top/overskirt, and sleeves.  The mesh and texturing on each is lovely.

So, I feel kind of bad that I didn’t shoot the other amazing colours for this post, but you’ll just have to stop by Fantasy Faire 2018 and take a look for yourself.  Bee and Solas have a whole LOT of beautiful goodies for you at the Faire, and I’ll show you a few more over the next week.  But don’t dawdle — the Faire won’t last forever.  Ten short days, and it will be but a memory.

Little black opalescence

Let’s make it abundantly clear: Autism Spectrum Disorder needs medical attention, and NO, there is ZERO evidence that vaccinations have anything to do with it.  Don’t be stupid, get vaccinated, and get your kids vaccinated.  While some people have been wasting time and resources on ridiculous conspiracy theories that have been repeatedly disproven, the real scientists are out there working to find out what does lead to autism.  Please help contribute to that research today.

Feel the warm sun on your skin… feel the moana makani, the breeze off the ocean… the sand warm under your feet, the squeak as it shifts under your steps.

Baby Monkey has just released the Cara Tropics dress, a beautiful tight minidress with fourteen texture choices.  I think I’ll be tugging at the hem a bit, it’s that short!

Island Style Designs has introduced the loveliest pair of rubber slippahs.  The “flip-flops” themselves are well-detailed and come in versions for Belleza, Maitreya, and SLink flat feet, but what makes them special is the lovely little plumeria detail.  it features a texture-change HUD with twenty-two different plumeria blossom textures!

Bohemian Inspiration

Aloha, my lovely friends!  I was visiting the latest round of Inspiration and found this wonderful maxiskirt and top from ***ArisArisB&W that I just had to share with you!

Rhapsody features maxi skirt and top separates with a six-texture HUD.  The textures may be chosen independently, so you can take matching top & bottom or different to suit your mood and tastes!

Rhapsody comes in fitmesh for both SLink bodies, Maitreya Lara, all three Belleza, TMP, and both Tonic bodies, so it’s sure to fit you!

Normally I’m not a huge fan of mesh maxiskirts in-world — they generally just don’t dance well — but this one is gorgeous, and ***ArisArisB&W did a fantastic job with the mesh: it dances pretty nicely, provided you don’t kick your legs up too high!

A bit of a shimmery flirt

Ohh I get to share a little happiness from -Pixiecat- today.  I discovered them recently, and just really love the textures and styles that they offer.

Flirty comes as separates (skirt and top) in a variety of different colours.  The Holographic that I picked up features a two-texture HUD with a bluer iridescent texture and a little whiter one.

I need to go back to -Pixiecat- and see what else I can find.  Who’s ready for a little weekend shopping?

Witchwood

So much happiness to share!  Petite Mort and Oubliette have moved to a new sim, Witchwood!  It’s a good opportunity to show you some lovely acquisitions I picked up from Petite Mort, the Royal Starlite sweater and the Burnout Velvet Skirt.

Both the Royal Starlight outfit and the Burnout Velvet skirt are slightly older releases.  They feature fitmesh for both SLink bodies and the Maitreya Lara.  Royal Starlight comes with a lovely little matching skirt, but I really liked how the top goes with the longer Burnout Velvet skirt.

Melora has created quite the beautiful little shopping experience at Witchwood.  There are many little scenes (like this one) that are perfect for taking pictures.  It’s really nicely done, stop by and have a look around.

Lost in Space

Blue’s been showing a number of free gifties from Canimal lately, so I thought I’d better get my favourite one in!  Mercury is a beautiful two-piece Maitreya Lara fitmesh outfit that comes complete with a lovely 15-texture HUD.  

The top is really adorable with the belly tie and a cute little peter-pan collar and cuffs. But…. are you really *sure* this is going to put my atoms all back in the right order on the other side?

I don’t usually talk about the poses I feature, but that top one (Flight 15) is from a lovely new pose shop that I recently discovered.  Poseidon Poses features a lot of action poses, particularly action-hero and fantasy poses.  They’re really quite remarkably done, you’ll see some more of their work from me in the future.

The March We Love Role Play event has started, and Silvan Moon Designs has a lovely outfit for you.  The Lady Ariana gown comes in nine different spring-light colours, including the white shown here.

Lady Ariana comes in fitmesh for both SLink bodies as well as the Maitreaya Lara, and demos are available at We Love Role Play as well as a fatpack with all nine colours!  There are two pieces, a bodice and skirt.  The gold brocade-type front panel is on white for all of the gowns.

Waiting for Spring

Eden had its annual Spring Queen dance this past weekend, and it was the perfect opportunity for a new gown!  Paris METRO Couture had just the thing with Wild Bunch, a beautiful new creation in mesh and flexi.  This is the first hybrid gown that I’ve seen from Paris METRO, and I’m so glad for it.

This was the perfect gown for my Mokolea necklace and earrings set from Luminesse.  It now features the OptPlus script, so jewelry pieces can be menu adjusted for glow and/or full bright!

PM has long understood that full-mesh gowns dance so very poorly, and have always had wonderful flexi gowns with applier tops.  But as lovely as their texturing is, appliers just can’t compete with fitmesh for realism in many circumstances.  Paris METRO Couture has combined the two here, crating a mesh gown with a flexi overskirt.  Be warned: as with any good flexi gown, complexity is high, but not critically so (in my opinion): the fitmesh component comes in at about 1500, and the overskirt at nearly 200.000.  With jewelry and hair, you’re probably clearing 300.000 total.  For a beautiful ball gown, that’s pretty low!
