The Autumn Queen

By many reckonings autumn has not yet begun, but for many of us the feeling of change is in the air, and we start looking forward to the turn of summer to fall.  The Sisters of Eden appointed our new queen this past weekend, and our newly-crowned Sister was gracious enough to let me take an hour of her time for photographs.

Ladies and gentlemen, with your permission, let me present to you the Autumn Queen, her royal floofiness, Kie Dagger!

Queen Kie is wearing the Fall edition of the Demeter Gown from Evie’s Closet.  Demeter is rigged mesh in four sizes with add-on flexis to create the gown.  While rigged mesh is a bit old-school these days, flexis are the best way to create a gown that’s good for something other than standing still for a photograph in.  Evie certainly has created some amazing gowns, and this look is absolutely gorgeous.

Queen Kie is the perfect neko.  Her tail and ears from Fluffy Bushy appear to be no longer available, but the whole ensemble (skin, gown, tail & ears and hair) work beautifully to create her elegant look.

There are stressful times as a photographer and there are easy times.  I was very glad that Luane of Luane’s World Poses had already converted her sim to autumn.  Luane’s World is a beautifully decorated group of sims, and it’s the perfect backdrop to many of my photo shoots.

Believe it or not, autumn is one of my favourite times of the year.  There is a special beauty — beyond the brightly coloured leaves, beyond the pumpkin spice everything.    Our lovely Queen embodies that peace and quiet grace.   I wish you all a wonderful Autumn!

Scandalize is celebrating 60,000 group members (that’s a lot!) with a really nice giveaway.

The top, leggings, and belt are three separate pieces, and they come in a couple of different colors as separate objects, including an ombre fade and pale pink versions.  There are also little ruffled upper-arm sleeves, which I’ve chosen not to wear for this.

Sizes include Lara, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and a one-size-fits-all for classic avatars.

Uber’s birthday party is over, but I was sorting out gifties, and wanted to show you this last one.  Of course, Uber is a monthly event, and the next round is already open!

This lovely little dress includes the undershirt.  It’s in two colors as separate items, this and a red version.  It comes with a HUD to let you change the undershirt to one of six colors.  It’s only sized for Lara.  It has a rigging problem with the super long sleeves where the cuffs won’t follow your hands, but for walking around, it’s just fine.

Happy Aloha Friday, my friends! I get to share my new fave swim cossie with you, a beautiful kini top and skirt from Jazabelle Boutique!  As are most of Jaz’s creations, it’s a complete outfit, including jewelry and shoes, and a few clothing options as well!

Jaz included a lovely pair of unrigged slippers/clogs with matching print.  Normally I’d look for SLink- or Lara- rigged footwear, but I’m really happy with these.  Not only do they fit both Lara and SLink feet well (those being what I tried), but they’re also adjustable, so that I could modify them to fit with the SLink Kitten feet, which are half-way between ‘flat’ and ‘mid’.  I really love that!

I really love the little dolphin necklace (“nai`a” in ‘ōlelo Hawai’i).  It’s a wonderful little piece, and completely perfect for this outfit!

My Little Plumeria includes a very skimpy thong top and bottom, but I love the skirt and full top.    The thong bottom can be worn with the skirt, and there’s a modesty panel for the skirt if you like as well.

A little while ago I showed you the search marketplace for L$0 trick, and came up with an interesting harness from D’eVil for free.  Repeating that trick today, I’ve found another harness from the same creator, who is obviously experimenting with the non-official Lara model.  If I were them, I’d apply to Maitreya and become an official Lara creator, as their outfits are surely good enough!  But, while they don’t, you and I benefit from the FREE clothing they’re making 🙂

This harness is for Maitreya Lara only, but comes in a number of colors including black, red, pink, and blue.

We’ve got a nightwear event at Eden today.  So I found this in my inventory, which is quite old, but I messed around with it a bit, which made me want to write it up 🙂

The nightdress comes in sizes for Lara, Freya, Venus, Isis, Physique, and Hourglass.  It has a four pattern HUD, mostly in pastels.  But the nice thing is it’s modify, so I added 20% transparency to make it sheer, and it worked really well!

Happy Aloha Monday!  The ocean beckons, can you hear her calling?

She looks with longing to home… feeling it always within her… and always on the horizon

You’re probably quite aware of a little affinity I have for exotic skins.. and for the ocean.  Take me to the sea, to the waves, wrap me in the embrace of the water.  Alia at  Fallen Gods has been playing the siren, feeding the call with a series of oceanic skins.  Today I just wanted to share Deep Spirit, a beautiful deep blue skin currently available at The Liaison Collaborative.  It’s available in two different beautiful versions, with the gentle texture of scales.

I’ve complemented the Deep Spirit skin with a beautiful little fitmesh gown from Caverna Obscura, the lovely Siren. It’s just gently iridescent, and the included pearl jewelry is just right for this naiad.

As the sparkling waters envelop you, feel the life surround you, drawing you back to the beginning

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the wonderful sim that I visited for the shots. Las Islas is a wonderful island paradise, a beautiful setting for tropical photography, and a showcase of some really amazing tropical scenery, available at the store.   You’ve seen quite a few of my shots taken there, and will see more in the future!

Here’s my final post on hunt items from the Dumpster Diving Hunt.  The hunt finishes at the end of the month, so you still have a few days to find things.

I nearly threw this away unopened because of the name, but I’m glad I didn’t!  The dress is all one piece and comes in sizes for Lara, Hourglass, Physique, Isis, Freya, Venus, Curvy, and Fine.  And while the pattern maybe reminiscent of a pattern on your old flatware, I think it works rather well as a dress!
