Some times I wish I had more group slots. What am I talking about? I always wish I had more group slots! And yes, I could upgrade to a premium account, but I actually enjoy making a profit from SL rather than the other way around hehe.
Anyways, the reason I mentioned that was that I was struggling to hang on to some groups as there had been nothing on offer for quite some time, and then along comes this simply stunning mini from one of them!
This is in standard sizes plus fitmesh for Maitreya and Slink Physique and Hourglass.
A while ago, I did a hunt called “The Naked Hunt”. There were some OK items and some not so OK items. This outfit I glanced at at went “Oh nice”, but I didn’t think I had time to fiddle around with resizing. Well, I looked today and was pleasantly surprised to find that all the items in the outfit had resize scripts, and they actually worked 🙂
The level of detail on this is just fantastic, but you do pay for it in avatar complexity, which for this is well over 200,000. So you have to hope that people around you have good graphics cards 🙂
As you can see, there is a little clipping around my lower ribs, but out of static poses, this is mostly unnoticeable.
The outfit has system layers for the top and pants and also has them in an Omega applier but note, this was from The Naked Hunt, so you’re not particularly well covered where is counts (translation: you’re not covered at all) 🙂
Again, the detail the creator has gone to is fabulous. The textures look superb.
The Ninth Annual Fallen Gods festival has started! Concerts, battles, shows, and shopping! Silvan Moon Designs offers Well of Souls, an exclusive gown just for this event!
(unknown) — Gothic Tiara and choker (created by ℬεĮĮ VɑĮεrϊε WℴĮƒε)
Like all of Silvan Moon Designs‘ pieces, Well of Souls comes in five fitmesh sizes plus fitmesh for Maitreya and Slink mesh bodies, and includes fitted gloves. Several flexi add-ons give a lovely dynamicism to this gown!
I’ve added a gothic choker and tiara. And I’m crushingly embarrassed to tell you that I cannot figure out where I got it: it was a hunt gift from at least six months ago, and the items don’t have information on their origin other than their creator — ℬεĮĮ VɑĮεrϊε WℴĮƒε.
Whether you’re looking for a gown for Samhain, All Hallow’s Eve, or a gown for roleplay — Well of Souls is a beautiful work of art! Stop by Fallen Gods today, and visit Silvan Moon Designs!
Here’s another romper before we get too far into the cold weather. This was the group gift at FA Creations for September. If you hurry, it may be still available. FAC is FREE to join.
Standard mesh sizes, plus one-size-fits-all fitmesh, and specific sizes for Slink Physique and Hourglass, plus MT body.
I am neither long nor cool, but two things I am quite sure of:
The Hollies knew how to sing it
Every girl needs her LBD.
Dressed by Lexi is making sure you’re covered with a great little in-store hunt until the end of October! It’s 10L per item, but there are five fantastic Little Black Dresses for you to aquire! I thought I’d share my favourite of the bunch with you here, the delectable Mrs. Jones.
Dressed by Lexi — Mrs Jones LBD (In store hunt until end of October 2016)
This designer has (probably rightly) skipped the classic rigged mesh sizes for all fitmesh, with specific sizes for the classic system body, Ebody, Slink Hourglass and Physique, and Maitreya. The dress also comes with a HUD with nine different textures.
Sometimes I have an item in my inventory that I rather like – but I just don’t seem to be able to find the right outfit to put it with. It sits there lurking in the background, maybe even prompting the “should I get rid of it?” thoughts when I come across it.
Well, Owl Moon by Spyralle was one of those for me, until a week ago. Eden was holding our Autumn Queen dance, and I thought of this gown — and with a few ingenious additions, put together an outfit that I can’t wait to wear again and again!
Owl Moon is a lovely mesh gown (rigged mesh in the standard five sizes), and I’ll admit, part of the problem in my inventory may be my love to dance — and the… awkwardness… of some mesh gowns for dancing. Well, part of that, of course, is to choose your dances appropriately. Some shuffle-y dances from Humanoid did just the trick for me!
The wreath of daisies from Caverna Obscura accentuates the oranges and greens, as do a fire opal pendant and earrings from Evelock.
For the dance itself, I added a beautiful pair of wings from Faeline Fairy — because sometimes everyone needs to unfurl their wings. Shigeko come in a several colour schemes, but the oranges and purples just seemed made for Owl Moon September.
So, lessons? Go back and look at your inventory with fresh eyes, you might find new and exciting ways to use things — whether they’re old favourites or items you’ve never worn. And don’t get rid of that pretty outfit just because you haven’t worn it yet, no matter how long you’ve had it! 😉
And go take a look at Spyralle — Owl Moon comes in a number of beautiful patterns!
The 50s! Chrome and streamliners, the promise of the atom to power our homes, airplanes, spaceships! Eclectic Stars brings us Swingers – Atomic, a beautiful swing dress drawing us back to that time when we still looked at nuclear power with hope — but with bright shiny mesh instead of chrome and Naugahyde!
Eclectic Stars has made Swingers in the standard five mesh sizes, plus fitmesh for Physique, Hourglass, Maitreya and TMP mesh bodies! I just happened to have this lovely atom-inspired necklace and earring set from Dressed by Lexi‘s Chemical Reaction, a four-part hunt gift from about a year ago. Seems as if it were made for this dress!
I love the satiny sheen on the top! I really need to look at more of Eclectic Stars‘ offerings — particularly since Jadziya promises “A little bit cheeky, many bits geeky!” It seems, perhaps, a store after my own heart.
And before you say anything, no, atoms do NOT look like that. It’s a cartoon. But images of s- and p-orbitals would be much less reminiscent of the 1950s kitsch. 🙂
