For the Winter Solstice Event, Sylvan Moon Designs brings you Victoria Faun, a beautiful gown in three parts (skirt, jacket and bodice) and a cute little pillbox hat.  It seems the perfect gown for a Midwinter Ball!

The detail on this gown – from the mesh to the textures – is amazing.  I love the little filligree at the bodice, arms, and back.  That shouldn’t be surprising, Solas and Bee do incredible work!

Victoria Faun is available in four different colours: Ice, shown above, royal blue, maroon, and hunter green.   The hunter green is my other favourite, and here I thought I’d try a slightly different look – a little more wild, a little more steampunk.  It’s amazing how just a few details will change the tone of an outfit!

So, just a little grumble — make sure you grab the landmark to the Winter Solstice Event here, because it’s not easy to find otherwise.  I’m not sure that Pale Girl Productions (running the show) is trying hide the LM, but they’re not making it easy.  I can’t figure out why — if I were Solas or Bee I’d be a little honked off that PGP is making it harder for people to come to the event!

That said, there are some beautiful things there to find!  Stop by and take a look, and then head over to Silvan Moon Designs —  Solas and Bee create some amazing things for your shopping — and wearing — pleasure!

As you may know, the Peace on Earth Hunt started on the first of December!  It runs though the 1st of January, and you might need all those days as there are nearly 130 stores to visit!  Here’s a nice hunt item to start us off 🙂

This lovely little dress comes in standard sizes, plus fitmesh for classic avatars, and specific fitmesh for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink.  Also included are the shoes for Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya highs. plus a set of matching wings that I’ve chosen not to show.

The side cut-outs are bold and you may have to wear a modesty patch in lieu of panties with this 🙂

This gorgeous little mini was on the MM board at Etchaflesh the other day!  My color too!

Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a Maitreya fitmesh version, but has Belleza Isis, Freya, and Venus, Slink Physique, and standard sizes (that appear to be fitmesh).  I’m wearing a standard small on Lara and as you can see it works beautifully.

As a redhead (preferably unless I’m changing colors for the blog) this is one of my favourite colors!

Mmmms ,warm and snug and still sexy for the winter?  Yes, please!  I love a sweater and tights, and Alaska Metro <3 has the lovely Heather sweater dress in 6 colours!  It’s hard to beat a nice form-fitting sweaterdress in the cooler months.

I’m so happy to announce that I’m now an official blogger for Eclectic Stars!  Jadziyah has a wonderful sense of style for all the nerds out there of every stripe!   Let me share with you a great example of her work — Shifty — and maybe stir up a little controversy!

As you might expect, Shifty is available in three colours: blue, red, and gold for science, engineering, and command.  Hmm, tricorders have gotten smaller over the years… who could have guessed?

Wait, what controversy?  Jadziyah named each outfit for the colour scheme on the new series – where command is red and engineering is gold.  In the original 1966 series, gold was for command, and red for engineering and security!  I’ve seen angry fights break out over this that make some sporting rivalries look tame!  And yes, blue was science in all series.

These harem style pants and top are from an old group gift by Paisley Daisy from last year.  I don’t know how I missed photographing then, but better late than never 🙂

It only comes in standard rigged mesh, and I’m wearing on system here with it’s associated alpha.   It’s heavily materials enabled and glitters and shimmers nicely, hence the name 🙂

Another outfit from the Boho Fair, this shorts and top set comes from KiB Designs.

There are three set of shorts and matching tops, all the same mesh but with different textures, and they’re specific fitmesh for Slink, Maitreya, and Belleza only.  I’m seeing more designers do this (leave out standard rigged mesh) but I think it would be nice if they did a fitmesh version for the system avi if they are going to do so.  Else they are limiting their market.

I was sorting inventory the other day when I came across my folder from the Boho Fair from earlier this year!  I’d completely forgotten it as it wasn’t in my usual place for unopened things!  So, yay, blog fodder 🙂

This is a great outfit from Prism, and in addition to the five standard mesh sizes, comes with a one-size-fits-all fitmesh version.  It’s all one piece so no mix and match.  I’m wearing it on Lara, and it has a tiny issue at the back of the skirt which could easily be fixed with a shape tweak (I retouched the below pic, shhh).

The bee and honeycomb texture is very cute!

I matched it with some knee high boots from Baby Monkey, which has a huge color selection HUD, and I nearly got a perfect color match!
