Last weekend at Eden, we had our Winter Queen event where Sabine, the club owner, with some input from staff, selects who is to be winter queen for the season.  I’ve had the honour to be chosen back in 2014, and it’s a bit of a thrill 🙂

Anyway, I was sort of running the show as this year we had a runway for the girls to parade on if they wanted to be a candidate in the contest.  As I built the runway, it fell to me to organize the girls who wanted to walk.  Nandi, our club manager, said I should set my tag to “Eden’s Heidi Klum” lol.  So while I got a nice outfit, I wasn’t even under consideration for the title.

Here’s what I wore.  As has been the norm in the last couple of weeks, it’s from the PoE9 Hunt 🙂

The basic dress is standard size fitmesh, and there are body specific fitmesh for Slink Physique and Hourglass, and Maitreya.  The flexi skirt is really well done, with a great shape that I should investigate 🙂 and it’s really well textured too!

I wore my fantasy frost skin, and at the last minute came across a nice white tattoo, also from PoE9.

Snowflakes and Sparkle

Two lovely little winter treats for you today — a beautiful little snowflakes jumper and some amazing jewelry from Earthstones!  The jumper is an older one group gift from Calamitous Intent, but is a favourite for the cold winter months. 

I’ll readily admit, I love sparkle.  Not cheezy bling, but beautiful sparkling lights.  So when I saw the beautiful Twinkling Lights jewelry at Earthstones, I completely fell in love.  There is a necklace, earrings, bracelet and anklet, sold separately so you can choose what you love.  I love them all!

As you might expect, Twinkling Lights is a little script-heavy, but it’s not bad — just be warned that if you are on a heavy-traffic sim (a busy club?) and they monitor scripts, you might be up high on the board  🙂  BUT the sparkle is beautiful, and I’ve been wearing it mostly non-stop since I got it!

What’s not in the box is this awesome little present from Furry Fashion available right now under their tree in the main store.  Actually, there are three different ones, all the same mesh but for Christmas (shown), Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa!

8-bit Christmas is a lovely version of Eclectic Stars‘ Shifty dress.  I do so love a sweaterdress and tights in the cold months!  I’m even more amused because the 8-bit-style images both evoke the `old’ days of computer graphics… but also fit in just fine with sweater graphics limitations!

Just to change pace from all the PoE gifts I’ve been posting lately, here’s a group gift from Shoenique (I think it was a gift for SLF&O).

The gown is in standard size fitmesh, with specific sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink.  There are five flexi skirts making the outfit a little high in complexity, but not too bad.

Although this is fitmesh for Lara, there are a couple of breakthrough issues that could easily be fixed with a shape tweak.

I love the flower detail!  It makes the gown!

Lump of Coal

An amusing name of an outfit near Christmas, this jeans, boots, and sweater set was on Punk Justus’s MM board recently.

The jeans and boots are all one piece.  Both the sweater and jeans/boots come in fitmesh for classic avatars, and specific fitmesh for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink Physique and Hourglass.

Although this is specific fitmesh for Lara, there is a tiny little bit of breakthrough at the back of the right shoulder that you can’t eliminate with the alphas in the HUD.  It’s not too noticeable though.  The texture detailing on the top of the jeans and the sweater is excellent 🙂

Virgin Snow

Another lovely hunt item for PoE9, this time from Angel Fae Boutique.

The main gown is standard size rigged mesh, although I had to wear the extra small to get a size close to my chest size 🙂  The flexi prim skirts are very pretty and give the gown some nice swish.  Unfortunately they’re all no modify and don’t contain a resizer.  I must admit that even though it’s a pain at times, and it takes patience and building skills, I love getting my gowns just the right size.  So not being able to resize these disappointed me a little.  The other thing is there are six, yes six, flexi skirts making this a fairly high complexity dress.  But it does photograph nicely 🙂

The outfit also includes the necklace, earrings, a tiara (I can’t bring myself to call it a crown), and a bracelet.  Again, all are no modify and no resizer scripts are supplied.  The only one that fit me well was the necklace.  I’m on the small side though (I’m only 1.85 metres/6 foot and a smidge tall) so your mileage may vary 🙂

Lacy green

What girl doesn’t love lacy lingerie to make her feel sexy?  You can find this gorgeous set for FREE at Luziefee on the Peace on Earth Hunt until January 1st!

In system layers with Omega appliers, and the shoes for Slink High are included.

I’m also wearing a jewelry set from my favorite Beloved Jewelry, also available for FREE at PoE.  A right hand ring is also included which I didn’t quite capture in the pics.

 

Winter Dandelions

I’m not so sure about the name of this dress.  I think I might be a little chilly in it in the middle of winter, for sure I’d need a jacket!  But it’s a very nice creation despite the name.

It’s B&T Atelier’s female contribution for POE9 (there’s a male hunt item too).  It’s a separate top and pencil skirt, with the skirt in classic fitmesh and the top in standard sizes.  But there are fitmesh sizes for both pieces for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink Physique too!
