Bella — “beauty” — is the current group gift from Dressed by Lexi.  You can certainly understand how it got that name!  Clean and classy, and a lovely gradation from purple to black.

Bella comes in fitted sizes for eBODY, Maitreya Lara, and SLink Physique and Hourglass bodies, as well as fitmesh tailored for l/m and s/xs standard avi bodies.  It’s full-length mesh, but features a flexi gauzy overskirt for a little sway.  There are other colours as well as matching heels and jewelry sets available for purchase!

I’ve added some lovely pearls from Lazuri.  This necklace, earring, and bracelet set was a group gift from a while ago, and features a colour-change HUD.  I like simple touches for a clean classy look.

Dressed by Lexi is one of my favourite dress and gown-makers in SL.  From casual to formal, fancy to clean, their value can’t be beat.

This was a MM board win at TRS Designs.

Lots of fit options including classic and fitmesh for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP.

It’s materials enabled, and as you can see from the shots, it’s a little shiny, at least for my taste.  I nearly always photograph under projector lighting, so your mileage may vary.

This prettily textured dress comes in standard sizes and a single fitmesh size for classic.  Here I’m wearing it on Lara, and it just works.  To walk around or dance in this, I can’t recommend anything other than the system body with the included alpha.

Having said that, it does have nice features, like a really nice eight color texture HUD.  I like purple (what a surprise).

And the big news for this post is that SLink have released their Bento enabled hands!  If you own any of their hand packs, you can go and get a redelivery in their main store for free.  The best news is that the hands work with any Bento pose system (although the new hands come with a HUD and SLink offers static poses for sale at the store).  You can read all the news about this exciting announcement at the SLink website.

I’m using the UNKO Hand Posing system which includes fourteen static and nine “in motion” hand animations and is available for free from the marketplace!

While running around slapping MM boards yesterday, this hippie style tunic caught my eye, and it was love at first sight!  I had to get it, and for L$50, it was a bargain!

It’s standard rigged mesh, but with careful choice of alphas, it works beautifully on Lara!

I love the shoulder to wrist cutout sleeves, they make the tunic something special, don’t you think?

Role playing is not really my game, but it’s always nice to have outfits for any occasion.  You know, when you get invited to defend the walls of a friend’s castle or something?  And when you’ve spent a little while in SL, you generally end up collecting at least one of everything.

FabFree did a post on this outfit, so I will just try and photograph it for you in a different light.

The outfit is a dollarbie hunt item for “The Best of Me” hunt, which runs though to the end of March.

FabFree photographed all the bits, while I left  the armour and head band off for these pics (who needs armour in a castle, right?)

Shimmering Moonbeams is another lovely outfit from Moonlitecat Creations in three parts: a top in the standard sizes in both rigged mesh and fitmesh, and a skirt and shawl in rigged mesh plus fitmesh for Maitreya Lara, SLink Physique, and Belleza mesh bodies.

Moonbeams has the iridescent shimmer of opal.  Add some rainbow eyeliner from VileCult for that extra little touch — Aeon is always happy for more colour!

This little outfit was another I picked up from Moonlitecat Creations with that Advent giftcard!  It pays to follow your favourite vendors!  I hope that you all have a shimmering bright day, and a wonderful weekend!

Owl time

We had a crazy outfit contest in Eden on the weekend.  I was struggling to come up with something original instead of the normal silly hats and stuff, so I was browsing the marketplace and came across this awesome owl/harpy outfit!  For the usual outfits we see at Eden, I thought it would qualify as pretty crazy hehe.

There was no demo for this, so I crossed my fingers and hoped, and wow it turned out nicely!  Firstly, the outfit is really only suitable for a system body as there are no appliers, but for this it hardly matters.  There are modesty patches on system that are tintable, or as you can see here, I’m wearing the feathered texture pants that comes in the package.  The legs and wings are rigged mesh so you can’t resize them (but there are alphas for your legs and arms, or you can chose to wear system layer socks and gloves in the same feather texture as the pants, so it doesn’t really matter).  The chest, pelvis, collar. and tail pieces are all non-rigged mesh, so you can get some adjustment to suit your shape.

The hairpiece comes in both rigged and non-rigged mesh, so again, it should be easy to get a fit.  And all this added up to only 55,000 complexity, even with the materials enabled textures!  Wow.

I think this is a fabulous outfit, and I’ll certainly be looking for an opportunity to show it off again!

Today I get to share this lovely little pressie that some dear friends got for me.  Bondo Beach is a lovely mesh dress from Oi Bae!, and the fact that my dears thought of me when when they saw this fills me with joy.  🙂

Bondo Beach comes in fitmesh for SLink Physique and Hourglass, Maitreya Lara, and eBODY.  It truly is pua nani — a beautiful blossom.

A little time on the beach sounds like just what this wahine needs.  Grab your towel, I’ll see you there!

I love this hairstyle but I rarely wear it.  I think it goes really well with this little embellished tank top from The Style Loft!

The top is standard mesh sizes plus fitmesh for Belleza, Slink, Maitreya, and TMP.  I’ve paired it with some classic jeans from JK Trends (system and Omega applier), and boots from Baby Monkey.
