I always have to be careful on the beach, my complexion isn’t the most forgiving — but a lovely buckled skirt and top from Sweet E’s Designs makes me want to risk it!

This is a really nice top and skirt combo from SkitzoFreniks Designs, a new designer for me.  Someone called the Midnight Mania board in SLF&O so I went and slapped it 🙂

The top and skirt are one piece and come in standard rigged sizes plus fitmesh for classic, Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza.

The detailing on the sleeves is really nice!

I also wanted to specifically point out this hair from Ayashi.  I picked it up at the 2015 Hair Fair and I don’t think I’ve ever worn it because it came in just one shade of red that didn’t appeal to me.  But while looking for something to match with this outfit, I noticed that while it is mesh hair, it’s modify.  Usually that doesn’t mean much as you still can’t resize or move it, but… you can tint it 🙂

That’s exactly what I did with this hair.  I used a very light green tint to change it from a much more purplish red to a color I was much happier with.  This is a great tip to keep in mind for anything that you have mod rights for (don’t forget to take a backup first!)

Sometimes I pick up a new dress or a bit of jewelry and then don’t get to write about it for a while (as I’m sure you’ve noticed).  I’ll put on an outfit and think Wow, that looks great! and realise that I haven’t shared it with you.  Dorothea from Sexy Princess is just such a treasure!

Dorothea comes in the standard five rigged mesh sizes plus fitmesh for your favourite mesh bodies: Maitreya Lara, SLink Physique and Hourglass, all three Belleza bodies, and TMP.  There are a host of colours to choose from as well!

Only in the interests of unbiased reporting am I wearing this!  Full-on goth like this is certainly not my style.

This outfit is system/applier based (system layers and appliers for Omega, Belleza, Slink, and Maitreya).  It includes the gloves, fishnets, jewelry (including a spiked hand piece which I’ve chosen not to wear as it’s not Bento compatible), the arm and thigh bracelets, the necklace, the headpiece, and the nose ring.  It also includes the spiked shoes for Slink High and the lace bow and bustle.

I really like the half gloves.  I’m sure they’ll get a mix and match with a leather outfit I have!

And, umm can I plug into these Marshalls?  hehehe

My lovely friend Sarah introduced me to the Gem Preiz’s The Anthropic Principle (supported by the Linden Endowment for the Arts) a week ago, and rather challenged me to incorporate it in my photographs.  You can learn much more about the sim here.   It’s a large sprawling cityscape in black and neon, and is truly amazing to wander about!

It seemed a good opportunity to show you Spyralle’s new offering for Genre this month, the Face Inter Face.

Face Inter Face calls back to an earlier piece that Spyralle did for Genre some years ago.  It’s glasses, a heads-up display, and a restricted message sender all at the same time.  It features a texture-change hud to turn the sunglasses on/off and select one of four different colours, as well as select textures for the little balls and their support pieces.  You can’t see the headband with my hair, but the headband terminates in ring-like headphone speakers for quality audio reception.  😉

Face Inter Face allows the user to project one of several little fractal images on the screen, as well as a couple of emoticons and (my favourite) the letters “afk” and “brb”.  It’s very cute!

A lovely extension of this would be to allow the user to drop in their own small image and toggle through those for the heads-up display.  I’ll have to suggest that to Kerryth…..

For now, stop by Genre before June 11 and pick up a demo.  This is a lovely tech piece, and will easily complement a futuristic or post-apocalyptic get-up.  Or anything else you might think of pairing it with!

Here’s a nice little outfit from Artic Storm.

The jacket is mesh (fitmesh for classic, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink) and the jeans are system and Omega applier.

The cutout applier jeans are very cute, and it’s sometimes nice to have a good set of applier jeans to go under a jacket or into some boots without having to worry about mesh breakthrough.

Is anything so full of Enchantment as the gowns created by Bee and Solas for Silvan Moon Designs?  The fabulous duo brings you Lady Gothel for the May 2017 Rapunzel-themed Enchantment event.

Lady Gothel comes in five colours named (more-or-less) after the deadly sins.  My favourite colours aren’t hard to spot.  I like strong colours, and greens and blues and purples most of all.

I’ve always been an opaque-gemstone kind of girl.  Opal and lapis lazuli may be my favourites.  I’ve had this lovely lapis set from Evelock for ages, but you would think that Evelock and Silvan Moon worked together to create a matched set.

For those of you who may not know, Mother Gothel, the namesake of this gown, was the “evil witch” who kept Rapunzel locked away in her tower from Tangled, the Disney adaptation of the faerie tale.  She’s an interesting character, but I  prefer the representation from Into the Woods, the faerie tale play from Steven Sondheim.  Something about the depth of the Witch, her fear of loss — her actions become understandable, perhaps even forgiveable.

But I digress.

Wicked or not, let Silvan Moon Designs cast their spell over you… stop by Enchantment before this fleeting dream slips away.

Something about this outfit shouts “Doctor!” to me.  So here we are at the emergency room 🙂
