I know, I’m always going on about how nice flexi dresses are for dancing.  So let’s put my money where my mouth is: Eden’s Summerqueen dance was this past weekend, and Paris METRO Couture had exactly what I was looking for with Van Gogh Irises.

I added a bit of jewelery from Spyralle: Summer Leaf earrings, and a new treat from the June 2017 SWANK event: Grow a New Heart necklace in emerald.  Simple, clean, and the perfect complement to Irises.

Now, as you might expect, a flexi gown is a bit complex.  This full outfit comes in at about 200k complexity, and a good bit of that is in the flexiprim skirt.  That’s about as high as I like to go for clothing in SL, but nothing compares with flexi for long gowns to dance in!

Eden tanktop

I’m sure you’ve seen me mention Eden before.  It’s a fabulous club for girls, whatever your orientation.  Recently, our lovely boss Sabine appointed me one of the Head Angels!  Wow!  I felt really honoured.  I’ve been busy helping Nandi the club manager there.  Anything to take some of the load off her.  And I was involved in the recent redesign of the sim, helping Nandi terraform and lay everything out.

As staff you get asked lots of questions by people.  A girl stopped by a little while ago and I happened to be wearing a very old Eden logo t-shirt from 2014.  She asked where she could get a copy of the shirt, and I said, “Oh I’m not sure, the giver used to be on the dance floor, but I can’t remember seeing it for ages!  Perhaps it’s in the freebie shop?”

We went and looked, and no, it wasn’t there either!  So, unfortunately she left disappointed.  If you’re reading this, whoever you were, I’ve fixed the situation by recreating the shirt, and updating it to fitmesh sizes too!  Yay!

There are fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, and body specific mesh for Lara, all three Belleza bodies, and Slink Physique.

Foxy in Blue

This was an MM board prize from Zombie Suicide.  I’ve shown you the yellow version before, but I like this one even better with the fishnet overlay on the skirt.

It’s all one piece, and there are sizes for classic, Belleza, Slink Physique and Hourglass, and Maitreya.

I went looking for a different hairstyle than the long long one I wore in the previous post, and I found this one that I hadn’t worn before!  It’s very cute and has rigged and unrigged version, and three different styles of bangs that are resizeable to ensure they frame your face.  It also has a multicolour HUD that is mostly in pastel shades, but fortunately there was a nice ginger in there!  Yay!

OK, I’m not sure where I would wear this, but in the interests of complete reporting, here you go 🙂  This outfit was another hunt item from WOH3.

The bra, panties, and shirt and all separate fitmesh, and come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Lara, TMP, Curvy, Fine, Hourglass, and Physique bodies.

Space invaders!

One of the Eden DJs came up with the great idea of doing an 8Bit set (well it was more 80s than 8Bit, but the deco was a cool gamer theme).  I got this sweater to wear to the event 🙂

The sweater is only rigged mesh in standard sizes, and it has some problems with breakthroughs around the hand area as the sleeves are so long.  I’ve retouched the pics, but in a dance situation it’s hardly noticeable.  And not being fitmesh, I was surprised at how well it went over my fav mesh jeans.  I was prepared to wear applier jeans if I had to, but it worked just fine with these.

My nerdy glasses are from last year’s Quest Fur Cover Hunt, and are rather cool mesh, with take off and put on animations, and another set of “off” glasses that are the location of the glasses when you take them off (if that makes sense).  I didn’t take a picture, but when off, mine hang on my jumper neckline.

A touch of darke

I’ve been blogging about Petite Mort for a while now, but I don’t know how many of you know about Melora’s more recent venture, Oubliette!  Oubliette has a different flavour than Petite Mort, a bit of goth, a bit of darkness — or as one of my favourite book series says, “darkeness”.  That darkeness fires Lucretia, an exclusive art-deco inspired gown for the Midsummer Enchantment event!

I really love the beautiful way that Melora has worked the angular lines of the dress into the more flowery curves at the top and at the hem.   That’s always seemed the beautiful paradox of art deco to me, drawing from art nouveau, merging the linear and the curved.

Boho hippy, with flair

After all the swimsuits, today I’m showing you a wonderful boho outfit!

A friend of ours DJs 60s psychedelic music a lot, so this will get worn to her next event!  The outfit is all one piece and comes in fitmesh sizes for classic, Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya.  The sunglasses, necklace, sandals for Slink Low, and a purse (not shown) are all included.

The sandals are really pretty, and the detailing on the inner sole makes me want to take them off to photograph them so you can see them better, but I hope you can see enough in the picture below.

Also, these sunglasses are the best I’ve ever seen in SL!  I have a pair of round John Lennon style ones, but they’re not just right.  These ones are purrrfect!

Look at the materials on this dress!  Wow!  As it’s pink, you know… dye bottle? 😉

This was a free gift at FaMESHed (I think!  Sometimes I do so many outfits I lose track!)  There are fitmesh sizes for classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Ebody, Fine, Curvy, Lara, TMP, Hourglass, and Physique, which basically covered all the current bodies and then some

My heels are also from the same event, and have a HUD that allows you to change the details such as the buckle metal, but not the main shoe colour.  I like them a lot, and a neutral gray makes a nice change from black, and goes with nearly anything.

Embroidered Essmie

Petite Mort has a lovely dress for this round of Tres Chic: the very simple clean Essmie.   Eight beautiful earthy shades set off the most amazing embroidery I’ve seen in Second Life.  My tūtū used to do embroidery like this, she always loved this style.  She tried to teach me a little… but I was never so good as she was.

Essmie comes in fitmesh for Lara, TMP, both SLink bodies and all three Belleza bodies.  So, as a side note, I end up writing that list of bodies down often enough now that I see that list, the numbers — 1 1 2 3 — and start thinking mathy sequence thoughts.  Is that nuts?  Probably, but wow I am so happy to see so much fitmesh!
