The Shop and Hop Winter event is on right now, and there are bargains galore, plus lots of FREE Christmas presents for everyone from most of the marvelous creators participating.
The event is across three sims, and it was pretty full when I was there, so you might have to be a bit patient to get in.
Here’s the first gift I opened.
This lovely little dress is in sizes for Lara, Isis, Freya, Hourglass, and Physique. The mesh detailing is wonderful, and of course, I love the color!
This is an old outfit I did for an event ages ago.
The jacket comes in standard mesh sizes, and it also comes in two versions, this one with white sleeves, and a version with black sleeves. Go! Whatever the animal mascot for Second Life Uni is! Go! lol
Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs have created a lovely new gown for you, exclusive at We Love Role Play . Selenia of Galacia comes in four different icy colours, each just perfect for the Yule Ball!
Selenia has a lovely Icy Pearls accent add-on (available separately) that adds a lovely touch to the gown. I’m just a little bit disappointed in the pearls, however: while the Selenia gown comes in Maitreya, Physique, Hourglass and Classic fitmesh sizes, the pearls are available only in the five rigged mesh sizes, and as such are un-resizable. I am wearing the smallest (xs) in the image below, and as you can see, they ‘hover’ a bit outside the fabric of the gown. That’s not terrible, though, it gives some lovely three-dimensional magic to the outfit, which I actually rather like a lot.
Cats in catsuits?! I got this catsuit for the kemono bod from marketplace with a specific reason in mind, which you’ll see if you keep scrolling!
The suit comes in sizes for default, Rei, and Busty Torso, and a set of full perm textures is included. Also included is a texture HUD that lets you colorize any of the five faces on the suit. As it is, it’s pretty nice, and could be used in a number of scenarios without any mods, including in an SF styled sim for example. The normal and specular textures are really well done.
And here we have why I wanted it. Recently I’ve been playing some capture roleplay in a jungle, and do you think camouflage might help some? I’m betting it will! This photo was taken with just a local texture to get an idea how it would look. I’ll do a custom texture with more careful edge matching for the camo when I get a little spare time. As it is, even without edge matching, it looks pretty good!
Aloha, my fine friends! I like to do something a bit risqué or otherwise fun on the weekends, so let me show you one of my favourites for special occasions. R2 Fashion A/D/E is the place to go to for your transparent latex fashion needs! I know Jaz has shown some to you, and I have shown some in the past as well. This is Baika, and it comes in three separate pieces (jacket, bra & panty set, and boots). There are six different colours, so you can mix and match if you like, or go thematic. I really loved the gold!
R2 Fashion A/D/E — Baika Jacket, Bra & Panty set, and boots (sold as three separate pieces) (Maitreya only) (6 colours
Evelock — Celtic Sheaf Fire Opal Necklace & Earings
I don’t know how R2 does it, but they have gotten the materials down to a science. The gloss on the transparent bits as well as the shine on the metallic ones are exquisite. It’s hard to imagine how they could be improved upon.
The one drawback, perhaps, is that R2 works in Maitreya fitmesh only. If you’re a Maitreya user, then you’re in luck! If not… I fear not so much. As most of R2’s items have significant transparent features, use of alpha zones is not really an option.
It’s winter, so a sweater dress is just the thing! This is in sizes for all major mesh bods. Although this is Lara fitmesh, it does have a clipping problem around the hem with the legs. But as it was a freebie, I can never complain too much!
We had a 70’s soul music thing at Eden yesterday, and this is what I put together to wear to the event!
I’m not going to detail sizes for you today, as I got both the shirt and jeans quite some time ago, but as they are both Lara fitmesh, you can probably guess the other sizes available.
Unlike Jazzy’s outfit yesterday, the jeans clip the shirt in one tiny location on the left hip, but I’d challenge anyone to notice this and call it out, even dancing.
And the hair, OMG! I got this at this year’s Hair Fair and promptly filed it in my “Misc/Weird” hair folder, thinking I’d never have a reason to wear it. But does it work well with a 70’s look? You bet it does 🙂
I really enjoy wandering about a snowy outdoor market, and the Okinawa Winter Festival 2018 is off to a beautiful start! I got to wander around the market, and fell in love with the beautiful Rachel coat from EXiA!
Rachel comes in five lovely colours and each has red and white options for the bow, holly (or not), and solid or plaid at the coat bottom. Rachel feels so very fun and warm and festive — it’s the perfect thing to wander about in the falling snow!
Christmas is getting close. I’m resisting doing Advent calendars this year as I still have unopened stuff from last year, if you can believe that!
This outfit was a gift from the Shop Till You Drop event in December last year (OMG inventory cleanout time, am I right?) The skirt and tank top are one piece, with the jacket separate. Most sizes are covered. The tights are included as system layers and appliers.
There’s also a Santa hat and curly toed boots, but it’s not that close to Christmas yet 🙂
