What’s happening in Second Life?
This dress is a L$3 hunt prize on the Save the Sea Hunt 4. The hunt runs until the end of the month, so you have plenty of time!
The dress is sized to fit Lara, Lara Petite, Legacy, Freya, Altamura, Hourglass, and Erika. It comes with a ten texture HUD, with of course some sea themed patterns, a few florals, and a plain red.
I’ve been away for a while, recharging a bit after the hectic sprint to finish the big work project, so no posts for far too long. Let’s make up for it with FREE outfits from two events, via Chic at Phil’s Place.
I grabbed this top and panty outfit mostly for the fantastic tied bracelets. The top, panties, arm bands, and bracelets are all separate pieces, and each piece is rigged for Lara, Legacy, and Reborn. It should be available up until the 5th of August as a FREE group gift at the Cosmopolitan Event!
And the next outfit is FREE at the Sense Event. This event closed on the 28th of July, but if you’re really quick, the vendor for this outfit is still there and functioning (I picked this up no more than an hour prior to publishing this post).
Unlike the other outfit, this outfit is all one piece, so no mix and match 🙂 It’s sized to fit Lara, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Legacy.
This may be a first for me: criticism of an outfit from a favorite creator…
Glitzz is running an in-store “Welcome Summer” hunt. Prizes are easy to find, as they each cost L$25. There are twenty five of them to chose from. The hunt runs until June 12th.
I selected an outfit from the hunt poster, a ruffled bikini in dark green and tropical highlights, knowing it would suit my hair color. I was very happy when I tried it on…
…until I started running through poses looking for one to show you the back of the outfit…
…and experienced significant clipping in nothing more than moderate poses, so much so that I doubted the bikini bottoms had been rigged at all. The photo below is a very ordinary stand. In more extreme poses, the entire ruffle is buried.
Usually I’ll call out clipping if I notice it in extreme poses but then I’ll walk around in the outfit to see if day-to-day wear is going to cause the outfit to clip. I also have a pretty wild dance that I use to test clipping. If it doesn’t clip on this dance, I can be pretty confident that nothing else will make it clip. But this bikini bottom failed that test too.
I don’t know if I was unlucky enough to select the only outfit that has an issue, but I’m really glad I didn’t outlay L$625 to buy all the outfits on the hunt.
The Fifty, the monthly event by the organizers of Fifty Linden Fridays, is celebrating an anniversary this round, and there are FREE gifts at most every creator’s stall. Simply wear the Fifty Linden Fridays tag – FREE to join – to get them.
This bodysuit is the pick of the gift outfits. It’s a wonderful design with the sheer fabric and lace ruffles. There’s also a floral patterned version whose main fabric is more modest.
Sizes include Lara, Lara Petite, Legacy, Legacy Perky, and Reborn.
Collabor88 is on at the moment, and I was having a wander around and I saw this dress. The photo showed what I thought was a daring side cutaway crossed with ties. I should have tried the demo, but as it was only L$188 for a single color and one of my favorite colors was staring me in the face, I didn’t. When I tried it on, I realized the dress should have been 50% off, because it’s only 50% there!
Sizes include Lara, Lara Petite, Legacy, Legacy Perky, eBody and eBody Curvy, Kupra, Belleza Classic (I’m guessing Venus?), Belleza Curvy (I’m guessing Freya?), Reborn (and “Juicy” addons”).

It’s the UniK Event’s 4th anniversary this month, and most creators have anniversary gifts available for all.
This glittery dress is one of the FREE gifts. It’s base color is a lovely emerald teal, with a fabulous underlay of glitter featuring lilac, this is one made for us red heads! It’s sized to fit Lara, Freya, Hourglass, Reborn, Kupra, Gen.X and Gen.X Curvy, Erika, eBody Curvy, and Star.
The Happy Event is celebrating their second anniversary at the moment, and there are FREE gifts available just by joining the FREE event group. The event runs until the 28th of the month.
There are some nice outfits among the gifts, but in some strange colors. This is the most redhead friendly outfit, color-wise 🙂
The top and tights are separates. The materials are well done and give the right latex look to the outfit. There are sizes for Lara, Legacy, eBody, Erika, and Kupra, and the top comes in Lara Petite too. An alpha is included for the leggings (which go to the ankle, and I cropped, because… too lazy to deal with weird foot shadows 😛 )
Speaking of birthdays, the Fifty Linden Friday group is also celebrating their birthday with an event. It runs until September 8th, and there are dozens and dozens of FREE gifts from the creators, yours for the asking by wearing the FREE FLF group tag.
I went through all the gifts and these are the two standout outfits. There’s also lots of jewelry, home deco, and other things! You should check it out!
This first outfit is from The Forge. I’ve written before about how I get into trouble and buy stuff when I see their displays. This time I resisted, and just picked up the gift 🙂
The top and bottoms are separates and both are sized for Lara, eBody, and Legacy. This would make a great base for a sci fi outfit I think.
The second outfit is nearly too yellow for my hair, but I wanted to show it to you because of the nice texturing detail. Its top and dress are also separates, and both pieces are sized to fit Lara, Lara Petite, Legacy, and Legacy Perky.

It’s Uber‘s 8th birthday this month, and lots of the creators at the event are offering FREE gifts to celebrate (although most are for some reason offering the gift only if you visit their store, which is tedious if you want to look at all the gifties).
This bodycon suit and gloves is the gift from Tori Torricelli, and can be picked up at their in-world store while wearing the Uber event tag (FREE to join).
There are sizes for Lara, Lara Petite, Legacy, and Legacy Perky. The gloves are separate from the bodysuit but paired (you can’t wear just one).
A HUD is included with settings for the glitter to make it more sparkly (it’s animated too!), and to hide or show the frills. There’s also the option of changing the front or back of the suit to fishnet. This is a very nice gift and will turn heads wherever you choose to wear it.
