Winter is Coming

The onset of Winter is a wonderful time to me, and sometimes the magic swirls around like falling leaves and snowflakes.  Kerryth at Spyralle introduced a new pattern for her Silvia dress, and offered a beautiful leafy headpiece that matches perfectly.  This looked beautiful enough in my “usual” Quinn Perle skin from Oceane Body Design , but when I tried the Opal Ice skin from Fallen Gods, something really shiny began to take place.

This outfit was just a joy to put together, and there’s just so much here to share with you.  I found the beautiful dress and headpiece from Spyralle on a recent trip, then kept finding the perfect things to put together with the outfit.  The Nature’s Splendour jewelry from EarthStones was just perfect to carry the maple leaf theme, and the HUD let me select some blue and opalescent textures that carry the theme of the dress, the headdress, and the skin.  On top of that, while wandering around Enchantment, I came across the perfect face paint / facial tattoo from Nefekalum Tattoos — the beautiful blue maple leafs!  It is almost as if this was destined.

Add in the Silvan Boots from [QE]Designs, and the Arboreal wings from Vaengi, and presto… .the perfect little fae for the season.

If you’re like me, there’s a lot of chaos to take place before the December holidays.. and those December holidays themselves take on many different forms.  But I think that nearly all of them carry the same message — a time of peace, a time of joy, a time of family and friends.  I hope that even in the chaos that you may all carry that joy with you throughout the next month.

Aloha kākou!  Hello, my friends!  The Snow Queen awaits you at the latest round of Enchantment, open now until December 2.  I wanted to share the beautiful gown from Silvan Moon Designs, Crystallis.

I usually shy away from pinks and corals — they often clash with my ginger — but I saw Bee’s colours in the Amaryllis style for Crystallis and I just fell in love.  I feel like I’m dressed in the sunset.

I don’t get enough opportunity to wear the Springleaf necklace from Empyrean Forge — it’s a large piece, and definitely requires a strapless gown — or at least a broad expanse of chest — so that it’s not crowded.  It works perfectly with the Crystallis gown.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!  If you are able, recharge, rejuvenate, refill with peace and strength for the week ahead.  If you are not able, find some time to breathe and take in a little peace…  and that rejuvenation time will come.

This is another pretty dress I found in the Womenstuff Hunt, and so suitable for the Fall.  There’s a lot of stores to visit and hunt for gifts in, so it’s time to practice your camming skills and get hunting!

This dress comes in sizes for Lara, Freya, Venus, Isis, Physique, Hourglass, Curvy, Fine, and Sofia.  It has a two texture HUD, with the other pattern being a more toned down olive, but even though this is nearly over the top with my hair, I really like it!

Elphaba’s Magic

Hau’oli lā Heleuī kākou!  Happy Hallowe’en, my wonderful friends!  I hope you won’t mind me sharing a new twist on an old outfit with you today.  This Death Girl dress and hood from G Field is one of my favourites, and I really need to wear it more often.  But when I saw the new emerald Pure skin from Fallen Gods, I knew it was just perfect for a little Elphaba-like twist.  And if you don’t know, yes, Elphaba is the name given to The Wicked Witch of  the West in the Wicked books by Gregory Maguire.

I believe I’ve found my kindred soul… my head may be just as full of straw, but he’s certainly got a friend looking out for him.

There is magic to be unlocked in books….

True magic lies not in casting spells, but in weaving care and protection about all.  E mālama pono kākou!

Let me please apologise to you all, and especially to Blue for being so absent the past two months.  The semester has been beating me up something fierce, but I hope to be a little more active, at least!  I have a couple of goodies waiting for pics, so hopefully I won’t keep making Blue do all the work!

This cute mouse is available at the Kustom 9 event, and is a purrfect fit for any neko or feline 🙂

The mouse comes in a number of colors, and it has a HUD to let you control the two animations (yes, it’s animesh) and three poses.  For L$99 per color, I just couldn’t resist!

Also, since my last photos of the cheetah, I have a new bento tail!  This one is from Catseye, and it’s really quite well done.  The pack includes three tail… widths, I suppose you’d call them – thin, medium (shown), and thick.  Each width has two versions, one in the normal position, and one at a lower position.  These are rigged mesh, so you can’t move them, so checking with the demo version is a must!

There are a number of sitting, walking, and running animations included in both the tail and an AO.  The HUD to control the AO also lets you set the tail length to extra long, long, medium, or short.

The HUD, while it does the job, could be better.  In particular it would be nice if it gave you access to all of the animations while sitting.  However, if you’re a scripter, is should be straightforward to do a custom HUD to overcome this small issue, as it’s using the ZHAO script package and the scripts are full perm.

Lastly, there is a texture HUD included that allows you to texture and tint the tail.  The tail is broken up into four parts, making it easy to get something like a cheetah tail right out of the box.  But if the texture HUD won’t get you to your desired fur markings, the kit also includes the UV map so you can make your own texture.  And there’s an applier included that you can load your custom texture with (it’s even full perm so you can sell you texture customization easily).

Here’s another of the FREE group gifts I picked up from Anny’s Fashion and The Point Event, simply by joining the FREE group.

I’m showing you the top so you can see it, but I’ll say right up front there’s something significantly wrong with it.  It doesn’t appear to be rigged at all and it has significant clipping issues.  The top is only in standard system sizes.

But the shorts are worth your time to go and get the gift, they are pretty nice!  They come in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, and Physique.

Also included in the pack is a set of applier fishnet tights, the same ones as I chose not to wear yesterday.  I’m still not wearing them 😉

While I was at The Point Event yesterday, I picked up some other FREE group gifts from Anny’s Fashion.  Their group is FREE to join.

The first of these is this full outfit, which which includes, the boots, top, and skirt, and also some fishnet stockings on Maitreya, Belleza, and Omega appliers, which I’ve chosen not to wear with this as their waistline is above the skirt, which doesn’t appeal to me.

The outfit is really a collection of three separate articles packaged as one group gift called “KissDay *Outfit”.  There are lots of sizes included for all three items, and both the top and skirt have color HUD options.

This bodysuit is another of the FREE gifts available at Kustom9, and is certainly appropriate for the time of year 🙂

It’s available in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, and Physique.

It has some very minor clipping issues at the sides which are difficult to deal with as it’s so high cut.

This dress is one of the gifts.  It’s only for Lara, but with this color, if it wasn’t I’d be petitioning the creator to make a Lara version, I love it!
