We’re over halfway through the April edition of at We Love Role Play, but there’s still time to go and enjoy all that it has to offer. This is the lovely Lady Celestria from Bee and Solas at Silvan Moon Designs, on sale now at the event. Celestria is a two-piece gown-and-jacket, and is sized for classic, Lara, Hourglass, and Physique fitmesh, and is available in seven beautiful colours.

I added the Hieme lavender willow wings, the willow buds seemed to be a lovely accent with the crocus gown, and matched the beading in the Samanta hair from {Limerence}. I really love it when a look flows together like this!

Kerryth at Spyralle has a wonderful treat at the Ostara’s Altar event. The Apple Blossom and Cherry Blossom headpieces are the perfect accessory for a spring ball, or a flowery fae, or just because you want to surround yourself in flowers!

The headpieces are unrigged mesh with Copy/Mod permissions. They are resizeable and can be tinted through the object edit context menu. They’re initially set at full bright, but this too can be turned off on the edit context menu!

The Fairy Godmother gown is an older release from Silvan Moon Designs that I blogged three years ago (WOW), but it still looks amazing, and the perfect complement to the Apple Blossom crown. I chose the glass colour to accentuate the bright colour of the apple blossoms!

You know that feeling before the summer thunderstorm hits? You can feel it in the air, the humid air under a darkening sky.. the little cool breeze that tells you that the storm is finally here. I know it’s a long way off from summer, but I am so looking forward to that feeling. That cool breeze, a break from the humid heat of the summer day.

Isolation protocols have kept me very busy with RL, so I haven’t gotten to share as much with you, but I had to share this with you before it’s gone. Melora Frost over at Petite Morte and Oubliette has a wonderful little Ostara spring hunt going on for a few more days, so if you haven’t stopped by you really should. There are some gorgeous little gifties to find, including this cute dark sundress.

It’s a 25L hunt, but the items are adorable. Don’t miss out!

Another event happening at the moment is the Welcome Spring 35L Sales event.  There are a number of FREE gifts available, including this gown, just for joining the FREE group.

I mentioned just the other day that even  more detail in mesh could help realism in clothes, if done carefully to keep complexity low, and now we see another good example of it.  The fold details on this are stunning for a total complexity of only 2,318 for the gown.

The gown is sized for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, and Legacy.

Dubai event

The Dubai Event is on at the moment and runs until the 10th of April.  There are a few gifts available by joining the FREE group event.

Both this hairstyle and bodysuit are available at the event.  The hair is a black and white set (nine tones), and ohh I’m sort of itching to run to the store and buy the red version of this!  Short bobs like this are perfect for fashion photography, as nothing gets in the way of showing off the clothes.

There are two sizes, and because it’s not rigged, it’s resizable via the HUD.  The pack also includes hair bases on system layers, and appliers for Omega, LeLutka, and Catwa.

The bodysuit comes in this green and a more lime green color.  You can color the sleeves separately.  It’s sized for Lara, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Alice.  It has a little clipping issue around the front neckline, but should be fine in most normal poses.

The hope of spring

The greatest gift of spring is hope. Hope of warmth, hope of light, hope of life, hope of growth. I search for hope where I can find it, in my friends and loved ones, in my work, in my surroundings… and hold on to that hope to sustain me against the dark. Hope is here to be found…. hope remains.

It seems disingenuous, perhaps, to talk of ‘Happy Monday’ at a time when the weight of the pandemic may be falling heavy on many of us… but I hold on to the joys of happiness to sustain me, and hope that you find a little joy here.

I picked up the lovely Niika gown from Spyralle for the $30L special on Saturday! It’s a beautiful little gown in the standard five sizes of rigged mesh plus three sizes of ‘fitmesh’. This is an older piece: this is not mesh body fitmesh, but rather fitmesh variations designed around the standard body. That said, you can probably find a variant that looks good with some appropriate use of alpha zones. The Fitmesh B size worked pretty well on my Maitreya Lara body, my biggest difficulty is the same I always have with the standard five size mesh: my chest is on the smaller size (me and my A-cups) and that generally leaves to much space in the bust. I really love the Fern texture, and I would love if Kerryth might use this texture for a fitmesh version!

Spring’s in the air

Of course with the change of season, there are Spring themed hunts on.  One of them is the Spring’s in the Air Hunt.  There are a number of hunt items across the grid, and each can be had for only L$2!

This pretty floral dress is sized for Lara, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Freya, Venus, Isis, Ebody, Curvy, Fine, and the five standard sizes for classic avatars.  The floral pattern is perfect for the season!

We’ve got a light cycle event coming up at Eden shortly, and eventually I knew I’d have to go and find an outfit for the day.  However, the Twisted Hunt is on at the moment, and the theme is cyberpunk.  I saw this outfit in an ad, and much as I dislike the Twisted Hunt, I thought the outfit would suit the event, so I spent an hour finding it.  Spending an hour for one hunt item is why I don’t like the Twisted Hunt.

The outfit is on system layers and Omega appliers…

… but the highlight of the outfit is the boots.  They are fitted mesh for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, and Physique.

Hello furry friends, I was browsing the Frou Frou Lingerie Event and look at the naughty outfit I found!

This is a two piece set, and there are a number of different fits, each sold separately.  This one includes sizes for the Fitted Busty Torso, and the Petite version too.

The top and bottoms are separates, and is comes with a sixteen color HUD that allows you to texture the top, bottom, and the highlights at the hems all separately.  The AO map is included if you want to create textures for it.

The outfit is L$250 at the event, and I’m sure it will be in-store shortly!
