This month, Moonstar Designs marks twelve years in Second Life, and to celebrate they’re holding a FREE store-wide hunt with ten outfits available, you don’t even need a group! The hunt runs until the 5th of September, so you have lots of time to find all the outfits.
It’s funny too, I picked this outfit up minutes after a black and white party at Eden. I wish I’d seen it before the party 🙂

Bare shoulders give an opportunity for some larger jewelry. I really love the Hawaiian-themed Mokolea jewelry set from Luminesse. I’m wearing the dark blue Maluhia set here, as it seemed to catch the colours of the gown just right.

A path… is like lines on a colouring page. To some, it may represent the way to a destination… to others, it simply marks the boundary between the known… and what is waiting to be discovered.
Aloha kākou my wonderful friends! It’s been a very busy few weeks, but I finally have some new pics to share with you. But first some good news — the wonderful Kerryth at Spyralle is recuperating after surgery according to a note sent out last week to her group. I finally get around to showing one of her latest creations, the Living Stepping Stones.
The stones come in six different palettes to suit your building needs, and each colour has one-stone, two-stone, and three-stone settings. They’re resizeable and copyable, and 1 LI each in the default size (mine here are downsized about 20%) so you can create the perfect path in the woods without breaking your parcel limit! I laid these out at my friend Gidgy’s lovely sim. While you won’t find the stones still there, you should certainly find yourself there… and you will surely find a little piece of serenity to fill you.
And another FREE giftie from FaMESHED. The creator calls this top and panties, but you could also use it as a high waist two piece swimsuit.
The top and bottoms are separates, and come in this patterned version, plus a plain green version. All pieces are sized to fit Lara, Legacy, Legacy Perky, and Freya.
Aside from the lingerie gift I showed you yesterday, there are a few other FREE gifties scattered around the Fameshed August event, including this minidress from Scandalized.
The gift dress is only in this dark greenish-blue, which the creator calls “Marine”, but of course there are multiple colors for purchase at the store. In addition to this plain style, there’s a white polkadotted one too. It’s sized to fit Lara, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Legacy, and it does come with a HUD to change the laces color. You can pick from forty two plains and twenty two patterns.
Oh, and it’s pretty “cheeky” at the back, particularly on the right hand side!

I also get to share this quick pick-up — the Midnight updo from Magika. Magika is coming out with some new hairstyles with some very life-like texturing. I really love this one. I don’t have really close-up shots of it to share: Firestorm on a linux system has a known but that causes some triangular rendering errors in some meshes with alphas. I’ve got it on great authority (my assistant today who held the lights for me) that the triangles that I could see were completely invisible to her on her windows machine. It looks really wonderful, and I’m really excited for new styles from Magika soon!
One last note, my wonderful friends. My friend, the beautiful and talented Kerryth, owner and creative force of Spyralle announced to her group that she is facing some rather serious health issues. Please keep her in your thoughts, your prayers if you have them. She has not shared prognosis, but keep her and her loved ones in your thoughts.

Oracle comes in two pieces, a gown and gauzy overgown that gives a beautiful appearance as you move about. I paired the Cobalt colour with the Night necklace and earring set from *N@N@*.
I built the lovely little venue with a set of goodies from Fallen Gods. The Garden Planetarium dome/pavilion was a quest gift from the 2020 Fantasy Faire, and other items (including the dome skybox) are from the 12th FF Mementos box from Fallen Gods.
The darkest fiercest storm will break over us like an angry cry, but we will weather the storm and breathe deep the scent of the passing rain… welcoming a world bathed in peace and light and song
I really love both of the Songs, but I had to add just a little bit to the Song of the Storm. Fortunately, Kerryth has just the thing — the Daemon Light was inspired by a passage from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and is a rigged mesh piece meant to be worn. When rezzed and positioned on Storm, it makes the lightning detail on the totem come alive. Daemon Light is animated so that it flickers, so it’s a perfect dynamic touch to add to Song of the Storm on your sim!
As you know, I tend to really love shooting on-site, but it’s a different game when you’re not working with any live subject. It’s fun to think about the scene as the subject of the shot… and to find the story.
