Dazed

Aloha and happy Friday!  It’s fun to do something a little out of the ordinary on a Friday, and I don’t do much lingerie since Carrie’s Lingerie kinda dropped out of contact.  Fortunately, Jazabelle Boutique has Purple Daze, a lovely corset-based outfit that is lovely for lingerie or a very racy outfit for a night out… or a night on performance, perhaps?

  • Jazabelle BoutiquePurple Daze complete outfit (corset, bolero jacket, stockings, boots, thong, and necklace) (Lara fitmesh only)
  • an lar [poses]The Irie Series – Four pose

Purple is a great colour, regal and sultry…. and best of all, it works with my ginger!  I wore Samanta from Limerence for this shoot.  I picked it up at an event… alas, i don’t remember when or where.

The music stops, lights come up, the patrons gone, the barkeep washes her glasses…. just a moment to breathe.

If you haven’t stopped by Jazabelle Boutique, you should.  Jaz likes a lot of racy clothing bordering on the exhibitionist — but also understands that not everyone does, so includes HUDs to allow you to set the amount of sheer or opaque that you like best.  I like the leather here, but there’s a very enticing gauzy look if you dare!

Mahalo!  A hui hou kākou!

Iroha

Here’s a lovely little gown that I picked up from Azul!   Iroha is a beautiful satiny gown in a very eastern-inspired floral print.  As is most of Azul‘s wares now, the gown is done in fitmesh with add-on flexies for that perfect dance motion.

Those of you who have followed me know that I love my foil flash tattoo from Alaska Metro <3.  The Iroha gown’s low-cut back perfectly frames the tattoo’s central medallion.  It should similarly showcase any large back tattoo!

The lovely locale is the beautiful Kyoto Kagai.  It’s definitely worth the visit!

Happy Aloha Friday, my friends!  I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Gypsy enchantments

I got to wander around the latest round of Enchantment: The Iron Throne over the past weekend, and while the theme is Game of Thrones, I found the most wonderful separates that just cried out “boho/gypsy chic” to me.  A little mix-and-match and you’ve got a look that is perfect for role play… or for every day.  Well, every day for me, anyway!

I don’t know about you, but I find that working with separates can definitely be more challenging — I tend to forget what separates I have in my wardrobe, and finding pieces that go together can be very hit-or-miss.  But it’s very exciting when it does, and creates a look that is very unique to the individual.

River daughter

Aloha kakahiaka kākou!  Good morning everyone!  Welcome to a new week!  I have a lovely new gown and bolero to show you from Silvan Moon Designs — the lovely River Daughter, available now at We Love Role Play.

River Daughter features a one-sleeved asymmetric bolero jacket similar to the Pandora gown that I blogged earlier.  River Daughter has a glove on the off-hand side.  I really like this look, there’s something about the asymmetry of skin that accentuates both the skin and the fabrics of the gown.

My dear friend Ariel lent me the most wonderful necklace from The Looking Glass. Dragons is in the Antique Necklaces gacha, and has a menu-driven texture hud to change metals and gem colours.  It’s perfect with this gown!

I always love shopping at We Love Role Play.  It’s a lovely monthly event that has so many nice little treasures to find.  Not so big as to take forever, but large enough, with enough of the strong creators to be something to look forward to.

Fantasy Faire 2019: A piece of a rainbow

Consider this a ‘thank you’.  While I have a little stockpile of shots of the Fantasy Faire sims that I will post to flickr here over the next few days, this is probably the last set of product shots from the faire, the lovely petite from Fallen Gods that I picked up on the very last official day of the Faire.

This little one is the Garden Sprite from Fallen Gods.  Alia uses the Yabusaka petite as a base, and adds a skin with normal and PG versions, and a HUD with 6 facial/makeup variations.

Garden Sprite was a special for the Fantasy Faire, and to be honest, I’m not sure if we’ll see it in the shop or not.  But I couldn’t resist showing this, because to me, she is a little sparkle of sunshine, a dewdrop on an orchid.

Garden Sprite appears to be based off of Fallen GodsEvolution series of skins, but the beautiful blue base is not available as a normal skin for normal avis at this point.  Mind you… I would love to be able to wear this on my normal avi!  Garden Sprite is complete, with hair and a little mesh bikini.  I swapped out for my own hair — this is Athena from Truth Hair, the unrigged/resizable version.  It works just perfectly.

Sprits’s wings are, unfortunately, unscripted.  They’re wonderfully textured with just the right hint of translucence.  I need to see if I can drop an animation script in there for a little flutter!

This little one is a piece of the rainbow, light diffracted and shining, a little bundle of colour… mischievous, laughing, hiding… sparkling.

As of yesterday, the tally for Fantasy Faire 2019 is just over L$17 million.  That’s USD$68,000.  Just… WOW.  People have come together from around the world to shop, to share, to support.  Maybe you weren’t thinking about the fight against cancer, and maybe you were.  Maybe you thought “well, I shouldn’t, but it’s for a good cause”… and you did.

On behalf of all of us, mahalo nui.  Thank you for everything!

Fantasy Faire 2019: The last huntress

As the gloaming draws in, thoughts turn to home…. to the warm fires, tasty foods, stories, friends, companionship.

  • Scarlet Fey — Elven Asym outfit (boots, coat, gauntlets, top, pants) for  Fantasy Faire 2019 (Maitreya Lara fitmesh only!)
  • Spyralle — Waverider Storm tattoo (face)
  • Poseidon PosesThe Raven 3 pose

The Fantasy Faire draws to a close this year, and despite being a week longer than previous years, it’s hard to believe it’s over.  I’ve tracked quarry across 16 faireground sims, and seen so many things, met so many people… and so many things I know I haven’t gotten to see.

But Fantasy Faire has done something amazing, and you have all done something amazing.  The goal was set to raise US$40,000 for the Relay for Life’s fight for a cure to cancers.  As of this morning, SL through Fantasy Faire has raised US$60,080  That’s over FIFTEEN MILLION LINDENS!

  • Foxcity — A Pretty Good Hair Day pose

I’m… I’m stunned.  I’m amazed.  No huntress could dare to bring home such a quarry.

Fantasy Faire 2019 is here through the end of Sunday.. then the sims will grow quiet, and dark, and fade into our memories.  Shining bright is the thought that we have made a difference, as a group… shining bright is the thought of next year…. shining bright is all the happiness shared, in the Faire and because of your generosity.

Truly, from the bottom of this one’s heart, mahalo nui kākou.

Fantasy Faire 2019: Malika

There is one more week of the magic of Fantasy Faire 2019 remaining, and still so many fun things to go and see.  This lovely dark gown is from God Mod, and has a perfect gothicky dark flair!

The shoulder pieces are unrigged mesh, and can be adjusted to your fit.  Earthstones‘s Phoenix Rising carried the spikey motif, and the reds seemed to echo the rust highlights in Malika.

There are so many wonderful things at Fantasy Faire, and every one helps contribute to the fight against cancer.  With 16 sims, you can always get in somewhere and have a look around.  Fantasy Faire 2019 is only here until May 5, and there is SO MUCH to see.

Mahalo!  A hui hou!

Fantasy Faire 2019: A Golden Oasis

I love how things just come together.  There is this beautiful little fountain/planter area in the Midas sim at Fantasy Faire 2019, and I fell in love with it when I saw it.  I snapped a few quick pics, but wasn’t satisfied with them¸they didn’t do a great job capturing the oasis beauty.  Fantasy Faire  is fey, however, and tempts with so many beauties… and Nirma Designs / Moonlay Designs and Dreaming Thicket provided the perfect ensemble.  The lovely little Ashanti top and skirt are gacha rares from Nirma Designs / Moonlay Designs, and are absolutely wonderfully textured.

The Dianthus veil from Dreaming Thicket is a perfect complement to Ashanti.  The unrigged mesh can be adjusted for that perfect fit on any face.  There are opaque and transparent versions to suit your look!

Are you looking for a little sparkle of gold to brighten your day?

Fantasy Faire 2019: A Sea of Stars

Aloha kākou!  Happy Aloha Friday!  I want to share a beautiful gown from God Mod!  Heart of the Sea is a wonderful iridescent gown in fitmesh for Maitreya, SLink, and Belleza bodies, as well as the five standard rigged mesh sizes, and it’s available at Fantasy Faire through May 5! I already showed the Ethereal wings from Lunaria, but I really loved how they worked with the colours of Heart of the Sea.

I really love a bare back, particularly one that shows my foil tattoo from Alaska Metro so well-framed!

Fantasy Faire 2019: Sundown

A goddess reborn in a city of gold, a living light upon an azure sea.

You may remember this skin from an earlier post, but when I saw the golden Marigold gown that Moonlitecat Creations was featuring for Fantasy Faire 2019, I knew that it would be perfect matched with Fallen Gods‘ water-gold Chronos skin.  And it works out well, Fallen Gods is featuring Chronos at the Faire as well!

I really love the detailing and texturing in this gown.  I can see the shimmer in the folds, even in the still image!  The oblique lighting angles cast some wonderful shadows that enhance the lay of the gown.

The evening light fades, the belt of Venus girdles the city, and the darkness closes in… but the light that is within shines bright.

  • <unknown pose>  (I’m sorry, I apparently didn’t record this one!)

I really love this aspect of shopping and exploring events such as this.  Full-up avatars are one thing, and full-up outfits are cool, but I really love finding things that go with other things and creating my very own look.
