There’s something special about the holiday, it’s an excuse to cuddle up and be snuggly, to not have to leave the house — watching the snow fall outside, knowing how cold and dark it is out there… and how warm and bright it is in here.

I just stumbled across some wonderful things from a creator that’s new to me, and I just had to share them with you! This is the beautiful Andie Rib Knit top from Carpe Noctem. I’ll confess, that I don’t usually go for crop top — my tummy gets too cold! But this is SOOOO cute that I just fell in love with it.

Andie comes in 20 beautiful colours and 10 patterns. Here’s my favourite part: you can get all of them individually! None of this “you have to buy the fatpack to get these patterns/colours that you really want”… no, you just get what you want — or you get the lovely reasonable HUD-driven fatpack if you want them all! I just love the kittens, but there are a bunch of wonderful colours that I adore, too. It’s also available in Lara Petite (as well as other sizes), so YAY!

The season of light, the season of joy, the season of peace… may it fill you and hold you, and keep you.

Aloha kākou! Mele Kalikimaka! There’s nothing like a beautiful new gown for the yule ball, so let me share this wonderful one with you from Bee and Solace at Silvan Moon Designs. Royal Yule Gown is available at We Love Role Play for the month of December.

Royal Yule is available for Maitreya Lara and Slink Physique bodies only, but comes in your choice of seven wonderful colours. Each features a lovely gown and overskirt as separate pieces.

I complemented this with the Snowfall necklace and earrings from EarthStones. It feels perfectly sparkly — just wonderful for a Solstice dance!

I wish you all a wonderful season. There are many of us who have been struggling — and many who struggle still. It will be a hard year for many of us who can’t travel due to COVID… but the spirit of the season — whatever holidays you may celebrate — can still fill us with light and peace.

If you have the chance, please visit the wonderful Christmas sim at Calas. It’s a little smaller than last year, I think, but none the less wonderful in its magic.

With the closing of the year comes a light in the darkness, the hope of a new start, a better world.

She walks with the footsteps of a goddess.

Aloha kākou! This is one of those outfits/costumes/looks that sprang to mind almost instantly when I first saw the Damned tattoo set from Fallen Gods. I already had the beautiful Pure skin in the Abyssia colour scheme, a perfect beautiful blue. When the two came together, it was the most magical gold-detailed lapis… and lapis is one of my two favourite precious stones.

The rest came together in bits and pieces. A waist wrap from Meli Imako, a top from r2 A/D/E. A beautiful scarab necklace from Spyralle. And, of course, the beautiful sim at Terra Egypta provided the best setting I could imagine.

This is the second time I’ve tried shooting this skin/tattoo — the first time I was not happy with the results, a creative vision that was not quite right. I’ve changed the clothing, jewelry, all much for the better.

And for all that… I’m still not quite satisfied. I’ll have to play with this some more, but for the time being, I’m pretty pleased.

Through a disaster of record keeping, I managed to lose my pose and windlight information. I’m still hoping to find the list, and will edit this post if/when I do!

In times of stress and anxiety, sometimes we all need to step back for a few minutes and remember grandeur, to remember peace, to remember beauty. It’s been weeks since I’ve been able to visit with you, but stepping into a beautiful field of flowers reminds me of where my heart lies.

Silvan Moon Designs brings you a new variation on an old design in the beautiful Abyssia of Witchwood this month at We Love Role Play! Abyssia is sized for Lara bodies, and comes in six beautiful colours.

I fell in love with the deep colours as soon as I saw them. The beautiful leaf motif called for some summery leaves here before autumn begins, so I complemented the gown with the Nature’s Splendour necklace and earrings from EarthStones. As with so many of Earthstones’ beautiful pieces, Nature’s Splendour features a texture-change HUD that allows you to choose a variety of stone textures for the leaves in three different sets.

Aloha kākou my wonderful friends! It’s been a very busy few weeks, but I finally have some new pics to share with you. But first some good news — the wonderful Kerryth at Spyralle is recuperating after surgery according to a note sent out last week to her group. I finally get around to showing one of her latest creations, the Living Stepping Stones.

The stones come in six different palettes to suit your building needs, and each colour has one-stone, two-stone, and three-stone settings. They’re resizeable and copyable, and 1 LI each in the default size (mine here are downsized about 20%) so you can create the perfect path in the woods without breaking your parcel limit! I laid these out at my friend Gidgy’s lovely sim. While you won’t find the stones still there, you should certainly find yourself there… and you will surely find a little piece of serenity to fill you.

I have a wonderful little couple of things to share with you today, a beautiful mask from Kerryth at Spyralle and a beautiful new updo from Magika.

The Masque of Summer is a wonderful mask, perfect for a midsummer’s… masque — for the ball, beautiful gowns swaying under the stars as the orchestra plays. Kerryth’s Masque of Summer is unrigged mesh: it can be resized and positioned for your face, and comes in six different lovely patterns. I also get to share this quick pick-up — the Midnight updo from Magika. Magika is coming out with some new hairstyles with some very life-like texturing. I really love this one. I don’t have really close-up shots of it to share: Firestorm on a linux system has a known but that causes some triangular rendering errors in some meshes with alphas. I’ve got it on great authority (my assistant today who held the lights for me) that the triangles that I could see were completely invisible to her on her windows machine. It looks really wonderful, and I’m really excited for new styles from Magika soon!

One last note, my wonderful friends. My friend, the beautiful and talented Kerryth, owner and creative force of Spyralle announced to her group that she is facing some rather serious health issues. Kerryth at Spyralle had brought us the beautiful Song of the Sun and Song of the Moon totems for the 2020 Fantasy Faire back in May, and introduces us to two more members of the family, the Song of the Storm and the Song of the Rainbow for SL17B, the birthday celebration for SL’s 17th year!

I really love both of the Songs, but I had to add just a little bit to the Song of the Storm. Fortunately, Kerryth has just the thing — the Daemon Light was inspired by a passage from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and is a rigged mesh piece meant to be worn.  When rezzed and positioned on Storm,  it makes the lightning detail on the totem come alive.  Daemon Light is animated so that it flickers, so it’s a perfect dynamic touch to add to Song of the Storm on your sim!

As you know, I tend to really love shooting on-site, but it’s a different game when you’re not working with any live subject. It’s fun to think about the scene as the subject of the shot… and to find the story.
