This LBD is a prior group gift from Smesh. Their group is FREE to join, and they have a number of group gifts available.
There are sizes for Lara, Legacy, Venus, Freya, Isis, Physique, Hourglass, eBody Curvy, Tonic Fine, Tonic Curvy, and Dragon (I’m assuming the Jomo Dragon). The texturing is very nice, which is why I wanted to show it to you. Unfortunately, at least on the Lara version, the skirt is so tight that you may get a little clipping at the back of the thighs that alpha cuts might have problems with. What’s to lose? It’s FREE 🙂
My friend Kat pointed out a new-to-me store called Patty K.C. Fashion. Of course she did this by turning up to an event an this stunning set of lingerie from the store!
I had to go and grab it. This set is just L$30 and is just to the right of the desk as you enter the store. It consists of the top, skirt, and panties, and all pieces are sized for Lara, Lara Petite, Altamura, Freya, Isis, eBody Curvy, Hourglass, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Tonic Fine, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Minimizer (whew!)
The lingerie comes with a HUD that allows you to color various faces on the pieces. The HUD has ten solid colors and four lace colors, which I think are the standout!
The store also has a huge range of group gifts available once your join their group at a cost of L$10.
Blackbird Lace carries past group gifts, and the group is FREE to join, so here’s a gift from July of last year that I somehow missed.
The strappy panty and skirt are separates and are sized to fit Lara, Erika, Reborn, Kupra, GENX Classic, and GENX Curvy. In addition of those sizes, the top also comes in Lara Petite, and both GENX Classic and Curvy Dainty. Also included is a set of heels that I am choosing not to wear as I refuse to wear platforms over about an inch tall (and these are over 6 inches!), sized for the bodies named previously.
Finally, there is a six color HUD that lets you color the top, top wings, skirt, panty, and heels separately. This is a very nice gift, and as I mentioned, the store carries past group gifts, so what are you waiting for?!?
It’s the last day of this round of the Sense Event today, and if you haven’t been over and grabbed the gifts for their 6th anniversary, you have only a few hours left to do so!
I think this full outfit from Finale Couture is the pick of the gifts. The outfit includes pants, top, boots, and the necklace and bangle. The top and pants are fitted for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, and Hourglass. Both the necklace and the bangle come un-rigged but do have resizer scripts.
The boots are left and right fits for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink.
The attention to detail with the texturing is what makes this though, right down to the tartan trim at the bottom of the cargo pants that match perfectly with the boots!
I didn’t do any Advent calendars this year… at least not until today when a friend recommended I run to Le’La and grab all twenty four Advent gifts for FREE before they disappear. You don’t even need to join a group!
This is the first outfit I opened, and I’m so glad I listened and grabbed these!
The outfit consists of the top, panties, body/leg wraps (I love how these go right up to my waist!), and heels. The heels are sized for Lara, Slink, Legacy, Kupra, and Belleza. All the other pieces are sized for Lara, Freya, Hourglass, Physique, Kupra, and Kupra Bimbo.
The outfit features a thirty (!) color HUD, which lets you select colors for all pieces separately, with the addition of the belt on the top. This is a wonderful gift! Run and get yours!

“If you’re an owner of the Maitreya Lara body, and you’ve been reading the news, what Maitreya are calling the “next generation” of the Lara body is now available: Lara X.
You can use the redelivery button in your Lara 5.3 HUD to have the body delivered to you for free. If you own the Petite add-on, you will have to get a redelivery by visiting Maitreya’s main store, also for free.
I’m not going to detail all the changes, you can read them on the Maitreya website if you’re interested.
My initial impression when I first tried on the body was that unless I do extensive shape editing, I won’t be rushing to incorporate it in an outfit soon.
Don’t get me wrong, Lara X has some really nice features, like vastly improved shoulder joints (at the expense of dropping my shoulders by at least 3cm in the name of a “smoother” look). And due to the wrists being slimmed (actually, the entire arm is slimmed), and the ankles also being slimmed (but my thighs and hips got way bigger?!), my SLink hands and feet no longer fit.”
I wrote the above at the end of November, just after Lara X came out, but I didn’t post it. I was having trouble finding the time to do the comparison photos I wanted to post with the comment. And Lara X being just slightly different in height offset from Lara made it difficult enough to get good photos without a lot of fiddling that it made me think it wasn’t worth it.
Since then, I’ve edited a modified shape for Lara X, mostly in an attempt to deal with the above mentioned “way bigger” observation. Looking through the freebies today, I saw the first outfit that made me want to run and make an outfit for the new body.
This dress is Mytra by Madame Noir, a FREE group gift for members, and the group is also FREE to join. There are sizes for Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn. The dress also comes with a three color HUD that also allows you to switch materials on or off.
SL days being one behind me, today is the 2nd of November, generally the second day of the Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations. So today, we had a party in Eden with this as the theme. Researching this the other day, I came across an article that called El Catrina “the original dead sexy” which completely cracked me up. So of course I had to do that for the party! This was my outfit.
I’ve shown you this dress before and you can find details about it here. I really want to highlight the face makeup though – it’s fantastic. For L$5, you get this design in not one, but six color palettes! And this is not the only design the creator does, they have a number of them for both female and male avis. The makeup is only on system tattoo layers, so you’ll need a BoM capable head. Highly recommended!
Hallowe’en is a Big Thing™ in Second Life. Creators go nuts with outfits and usually this time of the year, you can’t find a single freebie that’s not Hallowe’en related. So, I’ve spent my time on building a spooky setting for Eden‘s big party this year.
