We had a crazy outfit contest in Eden on the weekend.  I was struggling to come up with something original instead of the normal silly hats and stuff, so I was browsing the marketplace and came across this awesome owl/harpy outfit!  For the usual outfits we see at Eden, I thought it would qualify as pretty crazy hehe.

There was no demo for this, so I crossed my fingers and hoped, and wow it turned out nicely!  Firstly, the outfit is really only suitable for a system body as there are no appliers, but for this it hardly matters.  There are modesty patches on system that are tintable, or as you can see here, I’m wearing the feathered texture pants that comes in the package.  The legs and wings are rigged mesh so you can’t resize them (but there are alphas for your legs and arms, or you can chose to wear system layer socks and gloves in the same feather texture as the pants, so it doesn’t really matter).  The chest, pelvis, collar. and tail pieces are all non-rigged mesh, so you can get some adjustment to suit your shape.

The hairpiece comes in both rigged and non-rigged mesh, so again, it should be easy to get a fit.  And all this added up to only 55,000 complexity, even with the materials enabled textures!  Wow.

I think this is a fabulous outfit, and I’ll certainly be looking for an opportunity to show it off again!

I love this hairstyle but I rarely wear it.  I think it goes really well with this little embellished tank top from The Style Loft!

The top is standard mesh sizes plus fitmesh for Belleza, Slink, Maitreya, and TMP.  I’ve paired it with some classic jeans from JK Trends (system and Omega applier), and boots from Baby Monkey.

This is a really nice little dress from an unexpected source – Zombie Suicide!  ZS usually goes in for much more edgy designs than this pretty dress.

The dress is in standard sizes plus fitmesh for Belleza, Slink Physique and Hourglass, and Maitreya.  There is a tiny mesh breakthrough on the front of the skirt in certain poses, but it’s nothing drastic.  As it’s mesh from the skirt breaking though, you can’t correct it with an alpha.

I want to highlight my hairstyle too.  I like dancing on the beach at the end of the day, and one day while I was dancing, a girl walked up and started a conversation with me.  She was wearing this hairstyle from eXxEsS and after admiring it, I just had to go and try a demo!  As you can see, I ended up getting it, and it’s my favorite long long hair.  The amazing thing is for just L$199, you get two versions, one with materials enabled and one without, plus you get a 56 (yes fifty six!) single color HUD.  The colors cover enough naturals so that most people will be happy no matter what your normal color is, plus nine or ten single color tints such a blue, pink, purple, and well, you get the idea!

There is a “B” version of the hairstyle too, if you want multi-tones.

This is a very versatile hairstyle, and works well with nearly any casual outfit.

Wow, back to the 90s!  This fab little outfit from Facepalm really does the grunge look justice.  And it’s even called Evenflo lol!

The tank and jeans are on system layers and come with Slink and Omega appliers.  The around-the-waist shirt is standard size rigged mesh, and the combat boots are unrigged with resize scripts.  The bracers are also included, but do not have resize scripts.  If you were patient, you could unlink them and resize them smaller if you needed to (I need to, but I don’t have the patience today!)

Hello lovelies!  Today I’m wearing a fantastic little dress that was a win on an MM board at Entice.  And to go with it, I have this lovely new hairstyle from Alice Project!

The dress is in standard sizes and has specific sizes for Slink, Maitreya, and a single size for classic avis.  The detailing on this is very nice, particularly the folds in the material, and the half undone zipper at the back 🙂

On the same day I got the dress, I was lucky enough to get this hairstyle from the Alice Project MM.  It’s got a 15 colour HUD for basic colours, and you can streak it too (this is the standard HUD that AP releases with their hairs).

I really like the carefully done texture on this hairstyle and how it seems to have some natural highlighting.  It looks great!

Some nice new things to show you today!

The mesh for this dress is unremarkable being very similar to other dresses I have, but the texturing is really well done, with some fantastic materials texturing to make it glitter nicely.  It really highlights where the dress is folded.  As it’s fitmesh (versions for *takes deep breath* Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Ebody, Maitreya, Slink Physique, Hourglass, Tonic Curvy, Fine, and TMP) it moves and shimmers really nicely!  FAC has done a great job, and to top it off, have included a six color HUD with it too!

Next, while I’ve had this hairstyle for some time (wow over a year!), I’m not sure I’ve ever worn it before for a photo shoot.  It’s rigged mesh and has a seven color HUD.  This is the only red in there, but it’s sort of close to my color 🙂

And lastly, we have this beautiful little hearts necklace from BlackRose.  This was a Valentine’s Day gift for their group members, but it was still available in store a couple of days ago.

Every so often I go though my outfits looking to firstly update my look, and secondly to dispose of anything that really isn’t me any more.  In just the last couple of years that I’ve been in SL, there have been some amazing changes, the biggest of which to me are fitmesh and Bento (see the Bento Wings post in case you missed it!)

As I was slowly making my way through my outfits, I came across this wonderful little mesh dress which I’d completely forgotten about.  It’s not fitmesh, but it is in the standard sizings, and the small works perfectly on Lara with my shape!

In addition to the pastel green shown here, the dress comes with a HUD to change the color to seven other pastel shades.  Or you can opt to paint it black, as the Rolling Stones once said.

This is a nice materials enabled dress from Paisley Daisy.  It comes in fitted mesh for standard sizes with specific fitmesh for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, and is a group gift.  Paisley Daisy is L$100 to join.

I really like the rounded neckline on this as it gives me an opportunity to show off my emeralds that were a gift from Aeon.  She spoils me sometimes!  There are matching earrings too, which you can just see in the picture below.

I’ve said it before, you can be anything you want in SL 🙂  Here’s an MM win from Abyss Designs, a new store to me that was bought to my attention by talk (frenzy actually) in SLF&O group chat.

For some reason, the people in group chat were not revealing where this was, and I didn’t find it for a couple of days.  Abyss Designs is a FREE group, so you too could slap these boards and grab a complete avi like this!

I’m continuously amazed by how creative people are for SL.  The detail on this wolf is amazing, and it comes with an AO that makes you walk properly on all fours!  Check it out (and the other two amazing avis on the boards at the moment!)
