Kelly Nights

One of the “rules” meant to be broken on occasions when you’re a redhead is “Never wear a red dress!”  This dress makes me so what to break that rule!  And it’s really wine, not red, and I can go auburn, right? 🙂

This dress is only available in fitmesh for Freya, Isis, Physique, Hourglass, and Lara.  No standard sizes, sorry girls without a mesh bod.  I really love the texture on this.  It’s subtle, yet eye-catching at the same time.  A very nice job.

I chose a hairstyle from Exile, who created my favourite long hair, which is called Stone Cold Seduction.  I’ve featured that a number of times before on the blog.  This hairstyle was Exile’s gift at Hair Fair 2015, and as it features the same red coloring HUD as Seduction, it runs a very close second for my fav long red hair!

I found some matching red heels too 🙂

Night

This pretty and provocative chemise is a sensual addition to your wardrobe, and is a group gift available at Scandalize.  Scandalize is L$100 to join, but with previous gifts like this still available in store, how can you go wrong?

There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, Hourglass, Lara, and TMP available.  There are no standard sizes available!

This gorgeous little chemise is sure to impress with sexy semi-sheer accents.  Run and get it and surprise your partner tonight! 🙂

Inner Goth

A marvelous design on this corset and skirt combination from The Little Bat will certainly turn some heads!

The corset is in standard sizes, plus fitmesh sizes for classic, Belleza, Maitreya, and Physique, while the skirt is just in standard rigged mesh sizes.  Included is an eight color HUD to change the color of the bodice and the ribbon at the bottom of the panel.

Suzy Jade

This is a really nice fitting dress from the MM board at TRS Designs.  It’s available for all of April!

It comes in standard sizes, plus fitmesh sizes for classic, Belleza, Maitreya, Physique, and Hourglass.  The belt is part of the texture, but is very nicely done!

Open Collar

I put up a post a couple of days ago that linked to The Temple of the Collar.  Someone asked me if I used RLV because of the link, and yes, both Aeon and I use the Open Collar scripts, but not in the necklace I was wearing.  Rather, I took the script set and put it in our rings.

As Aeon made our rings, I had to understand how the scripts worked and how make an attachment to place the scripts in. This is a quick tutorial on how to do that with your own objects.

Firstly, you need to obtain the scripts.  They are available at The Temple of the Collar for free.  The object you get is a very plain collar called “OpenCollar Six”, and as you will see, it’s constructed exactly the same as what I will show you below.  Don’t panic!  There are quite a few scripts in there and you will have to use “edit linked” and move them to your inventory.

Next, you need to create a linkset with six prims.  For nearly everything you could wear, five spheres at their smallest size will do just nicely as we are going to make them transparent anyway (at least for the ring.  If you have an attachment with at least six linked parts, , that’s all you need, visible or not).

Here’s a photo with the ring and five sphere’s rezzed beside it…

Each of the spheres needs to be named in the edit window’s general tab.  The names must be exactly right for the scripts to work.

Name the spheres from left to right:

  • Settings
  • Animator
  • Authorizer
  • Dialog
  • RLV

Now, from your inventory, you need to place scripts, notecards, and animations into each of the spheres, and the ring.

Here’s a photo for how each object’s contents should look, starting with the ring, and then followed by the spheres in the same order as above.  Note for the Animator, the contents are not all contained in the photo of the window.  Just drop the notecard and two scripts you can see in the photo, and all the animations from OpenCollar, into this sphere.

I can now link everything together.  Make sure you select the object with all the scripts (the ring, in my case) as the root of the linkset!  Reset the scripts in the object, and if everything has worked ok, you should get a message that says “RLV ready!”

Now you can position the spheres and make them transparent.  I just selected the root object (the ring), copied its position, and pasted the position into each of the linked spheres to position them all with the same center.

And that’s it!  Take the object into your inventory and wear for your personalized RLV enabled attachment!

Birdy Blue

While I was running around checking MM boards yesterday, my letter came up on a Lucky Letter board twice in a row!  This pretty little applier and prim dress was the first of them 🙂

The top and pants are on system underwear layers, and there is an Omega applier too.  The prim skirt doesn’t have a resizer, but it’s modify, so if you need to, you can adjust the size to fit you.

This color happens to be one of my favourites as it suits my hair so well.  Pinks and reds?  Noooo.  Blues, purples, and greens?  Yes please!

Rebel

SL is liberating in some ways.  I have no tattoos in RL and I doubt if I would ever get one.  I do have a really good friend who got a large one (think playing card size) on her inner wrist when I would have thought all thoughts of tattoos were left behind in her teens or early twenties, but it did have very special meaning to her.

Having said that, I’ve collected a couple of tattoos in SL and I occasionally wear them to the beach or a special event (such as, you guessed it, a “Best in Tattoos” competition).  I even have made some that are available in our store.

I realized I hadn’t taken any pictures of them for the blog (other than the angel wings and the hip tattoo), and as a dutiful reporter of all things you can wear in SL, here are some photos of one I recently picked up from a midnight mania board 🙂

This tattoo is on upper system tattoo layers and comes with appliers for Omega and TMP in dark, medium (which I’m wearing), and light.  The artwork is very good, and the shading, particularly on the hands and under the arms, is superb.  If the creator is not a real life tattoo artist, I’ll be surprised.

The above photo has a tiny retouch to hide the join between my hand and arm, but normally, you can’t see it in world.

And again, the shading on the back is excellent.

Life’s a beach

This cute little trikini is a group gift from Scandalize.  Scandalize is L$100 to join, but this swimsuit alone has to be worth that price!

The size is Maitreya Lara fitmesh only!  So make sure you have Lara before running off to the store and paying your join-up fee!

A simple sea-themed necklace and bracelet compliment this nicely.
