It’s SL’s 16th birthday, yay! There are lots of things to do and see, and you can find all of them listed in the SL destination guide. And of course there’s a shopping event. With FREE gifts for everyone!
This was the first gift I opened. There are five prints and five plains (I think, each color is boxed separately and I haven’t opened but one yet). Each box contains sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Physique. I opened this ivory one first, not knowing what it was going to be, and was so pleased with the pretty pattern that goes so well with my hair!

Scandalize is very generous with group gifts. Their group is L$100 to join, but there are countless group gifts awaiting you if you do, including this sexy little romper.
It’s all one piece, and features a hood at the back. It comes in two colors as separate items, this ombre version, and a straight pale pink version. I was tempted to dye my hair to wear this, but the ombre version is dark enough at the top so I can get away with it.
There are sizes for Lara (two sizes for Lara actually), Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Physique. Both Lara sizes have a minor clipping issue at the front of the right shoulder, which is a pity, because otherwise this is a really nice giftie.
Glitter has a nice group gift out. Their group is FREE to join.
This great little leather dress is in sizes for Lara, Freya, Venus, Physique, Curvy, Fine, Ocacin, and Volupuous (is that a brand?) There are some minor clipping issues at the underarms, but no real dramas for walking around in this. And again, it’s in one of my colors, yay!

Let’s talk boobs. I see a lot of female avatars getting it sooo wrong in SL. In RL, we don’t have to worry, we have built-in shapes and physics, and our cleavage is controlled by the clothes we wear, not a texture, so we don’t usually have to think about it (with the exception of picking out that awesome pushup bra for a hot date lol)
In SL, none of this works automatically without some input from us. We have shapes, physics layers, and skin options to worry about.
A decent quality skin is one of the things you should definitely splash out some money for. You can get a reasonable skin for a couple hundred Linden Dollars, but a good one will probably set you back over L$800. Believe me, it’s worth the time and money to find one that you like, as, along with your eyes, it’s the one thing you’ll wear all the time.
When it comes to selecting a skin, pick one with multiple cleavage options. You want at least small for when you’re bare breasted, medium for when you’re wearing a bra or a bikini top, and “lots” for corsets and some formal gowns. There’s nothing funnier than seeing an otherwise naked girl wearing a skin with lots of cleavage. I keep having to ask myself “did she stick them together with superglue, or what?” lol
Do NOT look like this, there’s someone on that beach (like me) quietly laughing at you!

With Lara by Maitreya, there’s a great option in the HUD to store skins in save slots under the “Skins & Options” tab. My skin (Adore Peach by Lumae) has four cleavage options, and all of those are stored in the HUD in Firestorm’s “Favorite Wearables” for easy switching without having to dig through my inventory.
Now, you all know we need support, and when that support is taken away, things tend to sag, much as we wish they didn’t 🙂 Before fitmesh clothing, we had standard sizes, and to fit them, many of us saved off a modified shape along with the clothes, and the most modified sliders, at least for me, were breast size and gravity.
Using the same principle, you should have at least a few variations on your base shape for the bare/bra/corset thing with various levels of gravity applied.
And also, when that support is taken away, things tend to jiggle. This is where physics comes in. Physics is a system layer that you wear. Not only can it control breast physics, but also stomach and butt as well. Basically, the settings tell the viewer how much things should jiggle and which way they should jiggle when you move.
Again, you want at least the three options for bare/bra/corset, with plenty of bounce with little damping for bare breasted, and basically no bounce and high damping for corsets.
I said the other day that I’d start looking at Midnight Madness boards again, and here’s the first result, a really lovely patterned jumpsuit.
It comes in sizes for Lara, Physique, Hourglass, Freya, and Isis. There are some really high white platform sandals included with it for Slink, Maitreya, and Belleza feet, but they are so tall they made me dizzy, so I’m wearing some of my fav white sandals instead.
The pattern is really nice, without any noticeable seams, and is in my color. As it was an MM gift and was free, what more could you ask for?
Natsuki, one of our lovely sisters of Eden, recommended that we look at a live act with the possibility of getting them to play at Eden, and after a bit of organization, it all happened yesterday!

The band plays music by the real BabyMetal, and have the costumes, looks, staging, and dances down perfectly! Plus, the light show is mind-blowing! You should definitely try and see their show if you’ve not seen them before.
And while the above photo doesn’t exactly show it, we had a huge crowd for an event in SL, with nearly 60 people attending, which is pretty amazing for anything that’s not a major fashion event. What a fantastic show!
This underwear is from Wretch, one of the top creators of Kemono clothing. The top and panties are sold separately, and they’re not exactly cheap at L$250 each, but as most things Kemono, they are mod and come with dev kits so you can develop texture mods for them, which makes the price not unreasonable. They even come with an applier object to make adding your texture mods easy. The applier objects are full perm, so you can use them to easily sell your texture mods on marketplace.
The top comes in sizes for default kemono, Busty Fitted Torso and Fitted Torso Petite, Rei’s Chest, Ambix, AG, and BB/MM. The panties are sized for default, Busty Fitted Torso, Fitted Torso (boy), Hella Hips, Chubby, Philo, Sophia, and Thunder Thighs.
Being by Wretch, you can expect some naughtiness too, and both pieces are tug-able into different positions (or completely off) by people you can define in both white and blacklists, or anyone at all if you’re that daring. The panties also come with a version that includes a garter and a vib, omg 🙂

The top and the cargo pants are separates. They come in standard sizes plus fitmesh for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, and Physique.
The boots are non-rigged mesh, but strangely are no modify and don’t include a resizer script, so if you’re small like me, they look a bit clodhopper-ish 🙂 They are easily replaced with something else however.
And warning, we are talking an underbust corset here with no boob coverage at all 🙂 You could certainly wear this with an applier bra or (heaven forbid, Aeon!) pasties.
The fit is only for Lara. The skirt and corset are separates, and come in both leather and latex versions. The outfit also comes with a universal color HUD with some presets, which also allows you to control the glossiness and environment settings for the materials.
Best of all, it fits Lara like a glove, and is FREE on marketplace!
