During SLB15, Blueberry were giving away L$500 store credit towards anything in their store! I heard a rumor that the credit would expire after five days, so I wasted no time in selecting a couple of outfits.
This stunningly detailed bra, pantie, and dress set comes in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, and Hourglass. Each color is L$250, and there is a large range of colors to chose from.
Each piece is separate and so can be worn individually or all three together. The detailing on the bra and panties is exquisite. This is not just an alpha-ed texture, but actual mesh. The fit is extraordinary on Lara with no hint of clipping.
I particularly love mesh details like ties and bows, especially on lingerie, as it gives a true sense of realism that makes an outfit. Plus, having tried to make some myself, I appreciate how difficult they are to create! Another fabulous job from Blueberry!
This is certainly an outfit that will turn heads on the nightclub dancefloor, and when you get home with your sweetie 🙂
Lingerie and dress: Date Night – Cream by Blueberry
As you may know if you’ve read my “About Blue” page, I love writing scripts to get objects to do things in-world. It’s one of the reasons I joined SL, to discover what I could do with a new and interesting programming language. So, you get the occasional technical article on the blog. Feel free to skip this if you have no interesting in scripting 🙂
LSL is limited is a number of ways. One of them that it lacks a preprocessor. Preprocessors allow you to do things like:
#define CONSTANT value
and wherever the word CONSTANT appears in the script, the preprocessor will substitute value before it compiles the resulting code. This is great for things like debugging scripts, and many other uses.
If you are using Firestorm however, you can switch on a preprocessor for LSL built into the viewer!
Other than doing substitutions such as the example above, there are a number of things you can use defined constants for, such as conditional compilation. Also, the preprocessor implements a number of other functions such as code inclusion.
The feature I want to talk about though is the switch statement. LSL lacks this common feature of other C and Java-like languages. So the Firestorm developers included a way to have the preprocessor do it.
In their basic form, switch statements look like:
switch (expression) {
case value1: {
do something;
}
case value2: {
do something else;
}
}
And here is the point. We know that expression is something that can return an integer. The first time I used a switch statement in LSL, I coded what any C or Java programmer would and said:
switch (llListFindList (list1, list2)) {
knowing that llListFindList () would return an integer result. But on looking at the resultant code (you can see this in the preprocessor window in Firestorm after your code is preprocessed), I noted that the switch statement is translated into multiple if statements with jumps, but the preprocessor is not smart enough to evaluate the expression once and use the result! So if you have 40 case statements, the resulting code will have 40 calls to llListFindList () ! This is terrible for performance!
If you are using switch statements in your LSL, please evaluate your expression before handing it to the preprocessor. For example:
integer result = llListFindList (list1, list2);
switch (result) {
This will ensure expression is only evaluated once.
Aloha kākou! I’m so sorry I’ve been away and sporadic, hopefully things will get back to normal here over the next week! Like many of you, I enjoyed the big extravaganza of SL15, and picked up my store credit to Blueberry. I found something just perfect — the DWL Classic jeans!
The fatpack for these jeans is totally worth it. There’s a thirteen colour HUD plus exclusive patterns (I love the boho pattern shown — it matches my foil tattoos from Alaska Metro!), and three different jeans cuts – skinny, classic, and boot cut.
Hello lovely friends! As promised in a previous entry, I want to share with you some of my favorite items from L & B (Lapointe and Bastchild). All of their offerings feature superb mesh detailing like laces and zippers, and many color options (all of their products are sold as packs only, rather than in single colors).
One of the best of their items is the Aspen Denim Jacket, with an open front and optional knotted t-shirt, with sewn seams, zippers, pockets, buttons and an optional wool collar.
It comes in 10 plain denim colors plus one bonus theme denim choice, 7 inner lining options, 12 wool collar options, 5 jacket hardware choices, and 42 t-shirt options. It is available for fit mesh for Maitreya, Slink & Belleza. Check out the detail in the artwork on this jacket!
One of the areas in which L&B excel is in their leather goods. Here is a wonderfully matched set of the Dita jacket and Keiko pants. I particularly love the pants as you can set different parts of the pants to contrasting or complementary colors. There is also a non-leather version of the pants available too.
The jacket is a cropped length open front that includes sewn seams, zippers, pockets, tassels and buttons, and can be worn with or without the optional wool/fur collar and cuffs. There are 21 Leather options, 4 wool collar options, 6 fur collar options, and 5 jacket hardware choice. It comes as fit mesh for Maitreya, Slink & Belleza.
The pants are finished off with front grommets and lacing (corset style) plus zipper pulls with dangle tassels. The included texture HUD has 22 plain leather colors and 5 zipper metal options. Versions are included for fit mesh for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza as well as classic avatar fit mesh.
And how could one do a summer piece without a nice pair of shorts? These Dita denim shorts were originally featured at an event and are now available at the in world store. They are finished off with zip tassles and front lacing (corset style). It includes 12 denim textures, 3 theme versions, matching corset lacing, & 5 zipper metal options. It comes as fit mesh for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza.
The cute hoodie top is cut short to highlight your curves. It may be worn with or without the included Bra Tube Top, which I have omitted here (hey, it’s summer and it’s warm out!) The set comes with 36 plain fabric colors, 6 theme fabric options, 9 hood lining versions, plus 36 Bra Tube Top colors. It comes as fit mesh for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza.
I hope this giftie is still available! This full over one piece swimsuit is a group gift for members of TeleportHub. TeleportHub is L$10 to join, and once you do, there are gifts all over the grid, just waiting for you.
The swimsuit comes in classic standard sizes, plus body specific fitmesh for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Ebody, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Fine, Curvy, and TMP.
The polkadot pattern is cute, and I really love the ties at the hips.
As I mentioned a while back now, Hunt for you Inner Slut is currently on, and this is another item from the hunt.
This set of bra, pants, and dress are all separates. They come in fitmesh sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, and Werewolf (which I’m presuming in the Bento Werewolf from JOMO). The bra and pants straps could be just a little tighter, but the rigging is pretty nice 🙂
Hello lovely ones! I would like to show off two items from Blueberry today that go nicely together: the Bella Knotted Top and the Lila Rolled Cuff Jeans. The Bella top comes in 29 single colors, as well as a fatpack with those solids plus nine floral patterns and nine metallic colors. The metallics are also available in their own mini-pack.
The Lila jeans come in 14 colors plus a fatpack, with two versions, one a smoother bum look and the other with a bit more crease to your cheeks. What sold me on them, however, was that they work perfectly with boots! I am forever trying to find jeans that play nice with boots. And these jeans are nearly as good as my standby, the Tali jeans also from Blueberry. Here I have worn my Faith boots again, with Bella in one of the lighter florals and Lila in a nice light jean shade.
Now one other really cool thing about the Lila jeans, if you get the fatpack, it includes a sweater option around your hips. Not only does this sweater come in 29 colors, in solid or with a choice of a couple of cute phrases; or in nine metallic colors; but you also have an option to write your own text on it! So of course I added “Graduate Jazzy, U of Fae” since I am by nature a faerie (you just have not seen it in the blog yet!)
And then the sun starts to set, and thoughts turn to that evening party on the sand, fire pit alight and good friends around… You think about that special someone who might come and snuggle in your lap in this chair…
Hello sweets, today while I’m sorting out packages from all the events that have been on lately, I thought I’d show you this group gift from Resun Fashion. It’s from back in November last year, but it’s still available in-store at the time of this post. The Resun group is FREE to join!
There are two colors, black and this camel, in fitmesh sizes for classic, Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Physique, Hourglass, Ebody, Curvy, Fine, TMP.
The top is quite sheer in both the black and the camel colors, so it’s pretty daring!
As you can’t wear any alpha with it, at least for the top, there are some minor clipping issues while dancing, but nothing that will have you running away in embarrassment 😉
Hello my lovelies! Today I’d like to show you a wonderfully versatile jacket/dress combo outfit from Adorsy called Natasha. Just the jacket by itself is nicely tailored, with a little hanging belt and trim pieces. On top of that, though, it includes a dress that you can turn on or off, and a pair of panties that can be turned on and off as well.
It comes in seven single colors put it is the fatpack that really shines, with 30 colors for the coat, 40 colors for the dress, 30 colors for the panties/belt/pockets, 40 colors for the collars including 10 fur options, and 5 button options and 2 metals. There is also a loose version included for more flexibility with other clothes.
Here I have the jacket in a dark blue with a lovely flower print for the dress, matched up with a pair of starry leggings from Alaska Metro. The jacket allows separate color selections for the collar, the belt, and the pockets/sleeve trim, though I made them all light blue in this shot.
A few more SLB15 goodies to show you today, lovelies!
These fringed shorts come in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Physique. They come with a HUD to change the lace and eyelet colors, with a host of combinations possible.
My hairstyle is by Mina Hair, and there are rigged and unrigged versions. It too comes with a HUD with 13 essential colors, and a materials on/off selection. Additionally, there are two styles you can select via the HUD, the major difference being the little escaped wisp of hair in the side of your face can be shown or hidden. And hooray! A really nice red.
Lastly, the necklace is available in both long and short versions, and also has a HUD to allow you to change the metals and the center of the flower. The little note says “Bloom where you are planted” 🙂
The hair, short, and necklace are FREE gifts at SLB15.
