Janey

If you don’t know, Wetherby’s is a wonderfully generous designer, and the group is FREE to join.  Ms W does some lovely clothes and she offers different group gifts nearly every day!  Please run over to her store and have a look.  You won’t be disappointed.

This fab little dress comes in standard mesh sizes and had fitmesh sizes for Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya.  Ms W. made it to wear to work, but I’m going to wear it everywhere 🙂

Boho class

If you are a wanderer at heart or just love the comfortable easy boho style, you’ll love the August group gift from Dressed by Lexi.  Boho Culture features an all-mesh skirt with a beautiful lacey Omega applier top.

The Honu necklace by Spyralle is a second of three versions offered at the Genre:Polynesia event.  You can see a different version back in this post.
BohoCulture_c017VileCult is one of the many vendors at the Epiphany event.  They offer this lovely rainbow eyeshadow with Catwa and Omega appliers.  It’s nice and subtle, and definitely due to become a fave for me!

Some fun items are out and about to be found on your travels, so enjoy!

Green Envy

Did you know (of course you did) that there’s a lot of role play in Second Life?  These photos were taken at the Amazon River sim, a huge eight-sim wide role play area.  It also boasts one of the few (so far) user written experiences in SL.  Of course I only went there to find a location for this very risqué outfit.  The things I do for you, dear reader 🙂

This outfit is mostly prim, and the top comes with a system layer and an Omega applier.  In case you’ve never met me in world, I’m pretty petite for an avatar in SL, standing only 6 feet (185cm) tall.  This outfit was designed for your standard sized Amazon, not little old me.  I scaled everything down as far as I could then had to edit each prim individually to get it sized to fit me.  You certainly need some building skills for this one 🙂

Longing for the horizon…

Fishwife:

  • a coarse-mannered woman who is prone to shouting.
  • (archaic) a woman who sells fish.

Let’s say that the gorgeous mesh netting on Blue Moon Enterprises‘s August Group Gift has something to do with fish, then, because I’d hate for anyone to think that I had coarse manners!

Fishwife_c006

Fishwife‘s beautiful mesh is available in the five standard mesh sizes.  I found it to be a bit tricky on the Physique mesh body due to awkwardly-positioned alpha zone boundaries, but the lovely design makes it worth it.

I’ll admit – sometimes I get really excited about the pictures I take.  Most of the time, actually, I’m pretty happy about them, but sometimes I get particularly excited.  So… join me, and gaze to the far-off horizon.  What wonders await us out there?

A hui hou, my friends!  Mahalo!

Ayla

Kimbra McMillan at Beloved Jewelry, one of my favourite jewelry makers in SL, gave me a few items some time ago, including a tiara.  I’m not overly fond of tiaras, but I’ve been looking for an opportunity to blog it for her.  And along comes this fabulous applier and prim gown from LC Fashion!

alya gown_001

This gown is currently FREE to all comers, so hurry and get yours!  It comes with pants, top, and gloves on system layers, and has appliers for Omega, Belleza, Lola Tangos, Maitreya, and Slink.  The gown also comes in two styles, the ball gown I am wearing here, and a less formal evening gown.

A lot of Beloved Jewelry’s items are texture changeable so you can match with what you’re wearing (or in my case, select emeralds to offset my hair).  This tiara is no exception and allows you to select the metals, main and marquis gems, and the pearls from a huge range.

I’d also like to thank my friend Sophia “Queen of Fae” Hard for her wonderful location at  Castle of Fae, Artic Wolf.  Her beautiful castle and surrounding grounds are open to the public and are well worth a visit.

Iridescence

I was dancing at Frank’s over the weekend with Blue, and thought that I hadn’t shared this lovely little gown with you before.  Despite the difficulties of dancing in an ankle-length all-mesh gown, this one is worth it to me!  Opal Pearl is an older group gift from Paisley Daisy.
OpalPearl_c002

  • Paisley Daisy — Opal Pearl gown (older group gift)
  • AdonessSoyala earrings (sold as part of Soyala feathered mohawk)
  • [L.Warwick] – Savannah Ankle Strapped Heels – Noir Leather

The low back is scooped down to the bottom — no panties with this one!  But then, no unsightly panty line, either.
OpalPearl_c005aOne of my favourite things about this gown is the material — under different lighting conditions, it shifts from a very bright colour to a very dark one, giving a lovely iridescent effect.

Paisley Daisy has some very lovely outfits, and their group gifts are worth the small group join fee.  They’ve lately been doing more and more fitmesh, so they’re definitely worth checking out!

Retro polkdot

This retro swimsuit was a Midnight Mania board gift the other day.  Some designers are just so generous with fitmesh stuff!  Make sure you buy something from them to support their continuing efforts to bring us wonderful clothes!

The slippers are unrigged mesh for Slink Flats, and you may need to tweak them a little to get them just right.
