Paris

Surprise! Another FREE giftie from this month’s Vanity event 🙂

The pants, top, and jacket are separates and come in sizes for Lara, Hourglass, and Freya.  As you can see, the jacket is floor length, and the only minor issue with the outfit is the big pattern on the jacket tends to distort severely in any significant pose.  This would be much nicer in a solid color, and of course those are available at the creator’s store.

A Murder of Crows

November is drawing to a close, but We Love Role Play yet has nearly a week left.  Silvan Moon Designs offers A Murder of Crows this month, a beautiful bustled gown that might be just as at home in Victorian England or in a frontier town in the American Wild West.

The remarkable hat is included in A Murder of Crows.  I don’t know that I’d dance in it, but it’s perfect finery for the era.

Wow what a bustle to this gown.  Baby got back?

I really love this outfit, I think it might well serve as a fantastic base for a great steampunk outfit.  I’ll have to get back to you on that one!

Run over to We Love Role Play before time runs out!  Mahalo!  A hui hou kākou!

Sanctuary’s Promise

Let me take a few minutes out of a bit of a holiday here to share a lovely gown and jacket combo with you.  Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs have a lovely new release in the store for you, The Promise of Sanctuary in six gorgeous jewel-tone colours!

The detail work, both Solas’ mesh and Bee’s texture, is really quite amazing.

Stop by Silvan Moon Designs and find a bit of Sanctuary.  Have a wonderful happy day, my friends!  Mahalo!  A hui hou!

Hope in the darkness

There is nothing so magical as a walk through misty woods in faerielight…. the line between worlds seems to grow as hazy as the air, and the fae are close.   Just feel it… don’t fret about the future or the past, what has been done or what must yet be accomplished.  Just feel.

Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs have a lovely gown for the June We Love Role PlayBorn of Hope is a two-piece fitmesh gown in six lovely light shades.

I really love this jewelry set that Blue gave me a while back — I just don’t get enough opportunity to wear it.  The delicate butterfly and pearls works so very well with the sweetness of Born of Hope!

I really love the We Love Role Play event.  It’s a lovely showcase of some beautiful fanciful outfits and accessories, and Silvan Moon Designs really has become a wonderful staple of the show.  Stop on by and spend an hour or two looking around!

We Love Role Play — Silvan Moon Design’s Laias Etherais

Just because Fantasy Faire is over doesn’t mean that the treasures have gone into hiding.  The May edition of We Love Role Play has begun and Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs present the lovely Laias Etherais gown in two-piece fitmesh.

There’s really lovely subtle texturing done all over the gown and the jacket.  The texturing work is just exquisite!

I always love shopping at We Love Role Play.  My pocketbook may be a little less enthused, but there are always such amazing treasures to find!  Stop by and take a look around today.

A tale as old as time

Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs have created a new magical gown for the latest round of Enchantment.  The theme this round is the story of Beauty and the Beast, and Solas and Bee have created Belle’s Enchanted Ball Gown just for the occasion!

Belle’s Enchanted Ball Gown comes in six lovely colours and fitmesh for both SLink bodies and Maitreya Lara.  Still no fitmesh for Belleza bodies; hopefully Solas will start supporting those soon!

Kerryth at Spyralle really creates some finely-detailed jewelry, and the Like Gentle Tears tiara just magically seems to suit this gown.  Rain features a five-colour HUD that allows you to tint the hanging crystals in five shimmery light shades.

The Enchantment sim is really something rather amazing, the builders have put a lot of work into creating the scene, and many merchants (such as Solas and Bee) have created lovely pieces just for this event.  Stop by and take a look!

Spirit of Hope

One of the things I’m most happy about in Second Life is that we’re not just a game, we’re not just playing about, we do try to make a difference.  Creations for Parkinson’s has organised a major Hallowe’en event to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s Team Fox in support of research of Parkinson’s Disease.  100 per cent of all proceeds from the Gotham Island Event will be donated to Team Fox!

Solas and Bee at Silvan Moon Designs are taking part with two wonderful creations.  Spirit of Hope is an all fitmesh gown and overskirt for SLink Physique and Maitreya Lara.  It is beautiful and simple and elegant.

Spirit‘s overskirt features beautiful pale lavender floral accents that complement the lavender skirting on the gown.  Bee has really outdone herself with the texturing here!

Please visit Gotham Island Event and financially support the fight to end Parkinson’s Disease.  Researchers are making progress, but they need the funding to carry out the work!  We can end this debilitating syndrome!

Heart of Soraya

Bee and Solace at Silvan Moon Designs have a wonderful exclusive for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival!    The three-piece Psalm of Soraya has four lovely commons colours, and full sets in coal and ice as rares.

I shared Spyralle‘s Grow a New Heart with you before, it looks just perfect in Soraya’s chest cut-out

Solas’ fine mesh skills show up in the lovely lace-up back.  And take a look at Bee’s butterflies hiding in the gown texture!

You’d best hurry: the Fantasy Gacha Carnival only lasts until September 7th, then it, too, disappears like a dream.

Friday meoooooww!

Happy Friday!  Wherever you are, I hope you’re looking forward to a bright shiny weekend!

Katy features fitmesh shorts for Belleza Venus, Maitreya Lara and SLink Physique bodies, as well as the standard rigged mesh sizes.  The cute kittykat top is an Omega applier (also comes with standard SL layer).  The lovely butterflies tattoo from ERSCH allows you to place that tat on either leg — or both!

The sky is blue, the breeze is soft, the smell of flowers is in the air.  I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Aloha!  A hui hou!

Irises

I know, I’m always going on about how nice flexi dresses are for dancing.  So let’s put my money where my mouth is: Eden’s Summerqueen dance was this past weekend, and Paris METRO Couture had exactly what I was looking for with Van Gogh Irises.

I added a bit of jewelery from Spyralle: Summer Leaf earrings, and a new treat from the June 2017 SWANK event: Grow a New Heart necklace in emerald.  Simple, clean, and the perfect complement to Irises.

Now, as you might expect, a flexi gown is a bit complex.  This full outfit comes in at about 200k complexity, and a good bit of that is in the flexiprim skirt.  That’s about as high as I like to go for clothing in SL, but nothing compares with flexi for long gowns to dance in!

Happy Summer, everyone!  A hui hou!  Mahalo!
