Goth dollarbies

I’ve got a couple of marketplace dollarbies to show you today, and with some pale flesh and scars, the look works perfectly for Hallowe’en, or your fav goth club!

Both the corset dress and the stockings are available on the marketplace for L$1 each.

The dress comes in sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Curvy, Fine, and standard sizes for classic avatars.

The stockings are a Maitreya only applier.

The detail on the dress via some good specular and bump maps is excellent.  For a dollar each you sure can’t go wrong!

Gothic Iris

This is another group gift from Julia’s Scandal.  Julia’s group is FREE to join and there are a number of past gifts for you when you do!

This dress comes in a “one-size-fits-all” for classic avatars, plus body specific fitmesh for Lara, Isis, Freya, Venus, eBody, Hourglass, and Physique.  As well as this black version, there is a bright red version too!  I was at a little bit of a loss as to what to do with this dress when it hit me it would make a really nice base for a gothic outfit.  So here we are 🙂

The dress is very see through, however it’s quite modest when all is said and done.  Due to the lace, it’s impossible to wear alphas with it, and it does have a few clipping issues in extreme poses (and I’m guessing while dancing too).  But it’s certainly lovely to photograph!

Dark magic

Today I was setting up for an event later in the week where the theme is light and dark fairy.  I chose dark as I have a better selection of goth things than happy fairy things, and while you’ve probably seen most of these items before in various posts, this is a new combination.

If I remember correctly, I purchased this wonderful skin from Lumae for a similar event over a year ago.  The skin comes with these fabulous ears in three sizes that match the skin perfectly.

The dress is Lara fitmesh, and there are Slink versions of it as well.  I’ve posted full details in the blog before.  Once I had the dress, I started searching for other bits and pieces to fill out the look.  The lace bottom of the dress is nice, but I sort of wanted something even more tattered looking.  Surprisingly, a tattoo achieved nearly exactly what I had in mind, and when viewed from a distance, the tattoo seems to blend into the dress.

There are a lot of appliers and HUDs going on behind the scenes here!  I thought I’d show you a screenshot with most of them attached so you can see just how complex this outfit is 🙂  There are HUDs for body and head skins, wing control, my Lara and GA.EG control HUDs, the top, bottom, and feet tattoos, nails, lipstick, eye makeup, and Omega relays OMG 🙂  I haven’t bothered showing the HUD for the hairstyle.   All in all, I think there are 15 HUDs involved!  The list below is going to be long!

Gothic Webs

I’m not sure where I found this amazing gothic styled dress.  I usually categorize unopened things in folders so I know where they came from, but this was loose in my main objects folder!

Wherever it came from, the texturing is amazing!  You are sure to turn heads wearing this.  Sizing is only standard rigged mesh, but as you can see, it works beautifully on Lara.

A shout out to Nephilim for the skin I’m wearing too.  If you find yourself in need of a fantasy skin in various colors, you can’t go wrong here.  They have 12 fantasy skins for both male and female avatars, and they are L$1 each!  They even include appliers for Belleza, EVE, Slink, Lara, and Omega, as well as head appliers for Catwa, LAQ, Slink, Omega, and EVE.  What a bargain!
