With a spirit of eagles

Aloha kākou!  Hello, everyone, I wanted to share this lovely headdress with you from Spyralle.  Eagle of the Forest is a new release that is available now.  It’s resizable mesh in two pieces: the ‘wings’ on either side of the head, and the face frontpiece.  They’re each individually resizable and the frontpiece and main headdress are positioned separately to fit you just right.  If that’s not enough, the headdress comes with a six-texture HUD to retexture the circle features on either side.

I matched Eagle of the Forest with Owl Moon, an older gown from Spyralle.  I know, I know, everyone is doing fitmesh these days, but Owl Moon is lovely, and fits me pretty nicely, and it looks soooo good with Eagle of the Forest.

I always like mixing and matching, but I fear I may have added one more piece from Spyralle — the Emerald Waves necklace.  It’s a larger piece, and I don’t have a lot of things that I can wear it with, but the large décolletage of Owl Moon gives it just the right framing.

I really liked the look of the full headdress, but you might try it without the frontpiece for a more… regal and less ‘shaman’ kind of look.  You can find it featured at the Spyralle Shop at Mauna Waipio.  And if you’re in the mood to shop, to take a look at Spyralle’s booth at the Mystical Market, where you’ll find a number of lovely treasures.

A hui hou kākou!  Mālama pono!

Return of the Roaring 20s

Aloha kākou!  Hello everyone, I’ve been having a lovely summer, with some nice time spent on the islands and some time spent working on some projects, but I’m back and excited to share some things with you!

This weekend the Sisters of Eden held a flapper party, capturing the spirit of the Roaring ’20s.  I’d had this lovely dress from Silvan Moon Designs, Ain’t Misbehavin, that I’d blogged before.  But since that time, I’d found a few new jewelry pieces and some much better hair, so I thought I’d share them with you.

The shot above uses the Flux pose set from ecru poses.  I picked it up at The Liason Collaborative recently, and they’re just a lot of fun!

The hair is definitely the biggest improvement over the old pics!  no.match has some amazing styles, and no.commission suited me best.  It felt perfect with the outfit — and with my own style.  I replaced the headband that came with Ain’t Misbehavin’ with an improved one, Clara, from Empyrean Forge.  It’s a better mesh and texture.  Yes, I know, the pic below is a bit dark to show it off, but what can I say, I really like the shot anyway.

The rear view really shows off the Petit Vigne back necklace, framed by the scoop back of Ain’t Misbehavin’.  The shot below also shows off the beautiful backseam Nyla stockings from Alaska Metro <3.

The original Ain’t Misbehavin’ post was back in 2016, almost exactly three years ago.  I can’t believe it’s three years old, but it does go to show that just because something is a little older doesn’t mean it’s still not fantastic.  A little updating and I’m ready to dance!

Mahalo!  A hui hou kākou!

About face

I don’t usually focus on lippy or other makeup in my blog posts — that requires too much attention to my face for me to be comfortable with! I like my curly ginger hair, to the length that I get grumpy when I have to change it.  But the New Wave makeup set from AlaskaMetro for Rock Your Rack 2018 was just too much fun to play with, and it created a whole new fun look.

There’s a lovely Bowie/Starman-esque purple glitter lightning bolt included in this set.  I’m not sure I’ve got the best hairstyle to complement it, but I’m going to have to go searching more, it’s too cool to neglect!

I don’t know what to make of the asymmetric look, except that I really actually like it a lot.  I think this might be my favourite of the bunch!

New Wave has five different eye and lippy designs, available singly or as a fatpack, and all of the proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  WOW!

It’s amazing what looks good, feels good makeup-wise with dark hair.  I feel like I can get away with all kinds of amazing brightly-coloured striking looks  than I can with my ginger!  All the same, I’ll probably save these for those days when I need to step outside myself…. and go back to my ginger tomorrow.  🙂

Mahalo, my friends!  A hui hou kākou!

on the cool breezy dunes…

Aloha kākou!  I’m so sorry I’ve been away and sporadic, hopefully things will get back to normal here over the next week!   Like many of you, I enjoyed the big extravaganza of SL15, and picked up my store credit to Blueberry.  I found something just perfect — the DWL Classic jeans!

The fatpack for these jeans is totally worth it.  There’s a thirteen colour HUD plus exclusive patterns (I love the boho pattern shown — it matches my foil tattoos from Alaska Metro!), and three different jeans cuts – skinny, classic, and boot cut.

The belt from Bellydance Goddess is resizable, and just the perfect addition to this lovely little outfit.

I probably don’t need to tell you, Blueberry is just so hard to beat for quality mesh!

Comfy Casual

Hello my lovelies! Today I’d like to show you a wonderfully versatile jacket/dress combo outfit from Adorsy called Natasha. Just the jacket by itself is nicely tailored, with a little hanging belt and trim pieces. On top of that, though, it includes a dress that you can turn on or off, and a pair of panties that can be turned on and off as well.

It comes in seven single colors put it is the fatpack that really shines, with 30 colors for the coat, 40 colors for the dress, 30 colors for the panties/belt/pockets, 40 colors for the collars including 10 fur options, and 5 button options and 2 metals. There is also a loose version included for more flexibility with other clothes.

Here I have the jacket in a dark blue with a lovely flower print for the dress, matched up with a pair of starry leggings from Alaska Metro. The jacket allows separate color selections for the collar, the belt, and the pockets/sleeve trim, though I made them all light blue in this shot.

If you’d like a more upscale city look, here is Natasha with a white jacket and a dark blue dress and trim pieces.

For a lighter look, here I’ve gone with a pale shade for the jacket with an ombre dress selection.

Until next time my sweet friends! Cheers!

Wind and water

Happy Aloha Friday my lovely friends!  Are you ready for some Sun?  You know what, I think I’ll let the pictures tell the story….

The Izzy fatpack features a choice of 16 colours plus an additional 10 patterns, each component (kini bottoms, top, and tie cord) are individually selectable.  Top and bottoms are separate pieces, so you can mix and match.

Happy Aloha Friday, all!   Mahalo!  A hui hou!

It’s all been done

So, maybe it has all been done.

Sooooo it’s the curse of blogging, you’ve got a product out there and someone beats you to it.  Well, fooey, and I really liked that, too!  So, what do you do?  You take your own pics and show it the way you want to, that’s what.  🙂

Alaska Metro <3 is hosting a little mini-hunt, the Wardrobe Staples hunt with ten gifts: three at the Alaska Metro <3 main store, and seven at Free Dove.

Here are two of them that I just adored, the Long Tank and the Moto Leggings.

Each of the items in the hunt features a HUD with a couple texture choices.  The Moto Leggings and Long Tank each have three lovely choices to mix and match.  I really love the mesh on these, the leggings are very nicely detailed!

Oooh oooh and also?  This is the first time I’ve featured the Hatsune hair from *ARGRACE*.  I really have fallen in love with the *ARGRACE*.  In addition to a texture with a few choices for the headband (or whatever hair-related accessories a particular hairdo comes with), most of their styles feature a styling hud.  These allow you to add wisps or, in the case of Hatsune, a lovely braid across the forehead.

Stop by Alaska Metro <3 and Free Dove, the hunt is free and easy enough, and the goodies are lovely.  And above all, happy Aloha Friday my friends!

Little black opalescence

Hello, all!  Every girl needs her little black dress (or two, or three, or…) and a little iridescence is just perfect for this girl.  Little Black Dress is taking part in the Grow Your Awareness hunt to raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder, and has two fabulous little gifties hidden in the store.  One is Opal, the fabulous minidress shown here.

  • Little Black DressOpal minidress  (Maitreya/Physique/Hourglass/Belleza Freya/Venus/Isis/ Tonic Fine/Curvy/TMP/Ocacin/classic rigged mesh)
  • EarthStonesFeuilles necklace and earrings
  • BootgasmVail Winter Boot (black)
  • an lar [poses]The Jupiter Series – Three (m) pose

Let’s make it abundantly clear: Autism Spectrum Disorder needs medical attention, and NO, there is ZERO evidence that vaccinations have anything to do with it.  Don’t be stupid, get vaccinated, and get your kids vaccinated.  While some people have been wasting time and resources on ridiculous conspiracy theories that have been repeatedly disproven, the real scientists are out there working to find out what does lead to autismPlease help contribute to that research today.

Have a shiny Aloha Friday!

I shared a beautiful new reflective swimsuit and pareo from Island Style Designs a few weeks ago.  Nickki’s been hard at work, and created new textures for the suit, packaging it with a long sarong and matching shoes, and it’s perfect for your Aloha Friday!

I’m not generally a fan of platforms, but these are perfect with this outfit, having the same metallic texture, so I thought I’d show them off.  They come in sizes for SLink, Maitreya, and TMP feet.

The suit and sarong are sized for Maitreya, SLink Physique, and all three Belleza bodies.  Yay!

This uses the same basic mesh as the Metal Resort Wear from the previous post.  It’s a fairly modest cut at the legs (modest for SL!).  The texture really is quite lovely with advanced lighting and reflections turned on, and has to be seen in action to really be appreciated.  So, take a look at the video!

I took a bit of a selfie here for a friend, but it shows off the beautiful purple agate and silver Sea Turtle jewelry from Luminesse.

Nickki is working hard on new styles and new textures, please visit the all-new Island Style Designs and take a look today!  Mahalo!  A hui hou!

Cosmic dreams

My lovely aunty Kie Dagger found the most beautiful flirty dress from -Pixiecat- and thought of me!  Dreamy comes in 10 lovely textures, two of which feature an animated overlayer!

I paired Dreamy with the new lovely iridescent Lyra leggings from Alaska Metro.  They’re in Maitreya and Omega appliers as well as standard layers, and come in six beautiful colours — three pleather and three iridescent holo shades.  You can find them at ~~Applique~~!

You can’t see it in the stills, but the little stars on the Dreamy dress are on an animated layer.  They drift serenely slowly over the nebula dress texture, in a very subtle classy way.   The other animated dress, “Clouds”, does much the same thing.

Stop by -Pixiecat- and take a look.  There are a bunch of lovely things I want to try out myself!  And please take a look around ~~Applique~~, there are some lovely things there for the finding!
