Summer Fun

I was talking to one of the girls at Eden about clothes, and she offered me this outfit from her store to review.  So, here it is Jenny!

The shorts and top come as separates with sizes for Lara, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, and Physique.  The fit for Lara is fine, not even requiring an alpha.

The outfit has two HUDs, one for the top and one for the shorts, both with the same ten pastel variations on the pattern you see me wearing here.  The texturing is done thoughtfully, and seams are hidden under “seams” in the mesh, so they look really nice with no obvious mismatches.

All in all, an nice outfit.  Now, should I ride the roller coaster first?  Or what? 🙂

Faerie of the star

A sweet friend gave me the title Faerie of the Star a long time back… and it is silly and fun and something I treasure.  And Kerryth at Spyralle has created an outfit that matches that title: the lovely Starseeker, exclusive for Fantasy Faire 2017!

This fae may not have typical wings, but her heart and soul soars in a shower of stars.  Starseeker includes a full-body-and-face tattoo (System and Omega appliers) with a set of flexi drape pieces and mesh arm vanes and headpiece/crown.   The Crown and armpieces are included with Starseeker, but are also available as a separate package.

The headpiece is a beautiful work of art.  Star-particles twinkle between the wings, and shower softly from either side.  Both side and centre effects may be turned on or off separately.  The arm vanes likewise issue a gentle shower of stars and may also be turned off as desired.  Little invisible star trails (particle generators) may be added to each hand.

If that weren’t enough, Spyralle has collaborated with Tai’Dyed to include a beautiful matching version of the Nebula dance attachments.  This is a set of 22 flexi attachments that swirl about you as you move.  The effect is stunning and must be seen to be believed!  You can pick and choose from the 22 included attachments to achieve the right look for you – or run out your maximum allowed attachments!

This outfit was made for dancing, and is absolutely gorgeous in low light.  It may be my favourite creation from Kerryth and Spyralle yet.  What’s best is that 100% of the proceeds from these items go to Relay for Life.  You can support The American Cancer Society and shine as a star at the same time!

I’ve left one more image with the dancing whisps for you on my flickr page.  It’s my favourite, and a little present for you.

Thank you so much for following us, I love bringing you some of the treasures of SecondLife!

Mahalo nui loa!  A hui hou!

Lace and mustard

The mustard highlights on this pretty lace gown are just lovely!  No gowns have come my way for quite some time, and now I have two new ones in less than a week 🙂  It also gives me a wonderful opportunity to show off a new jewelry set from Beloved!

The gown is prim, with system layer pants and top that also come as Omega, Slink, EVE, and Maitreya appliers.  The gauzy upward ruffle is just lovely, and moves around nicely producing a gorgeous shimmery effect.

And oh my, Kimbra from Beloved is just amazing!  She keeps producing these wonderful pieces of jewelry that just make you go “Wow!”  As usual, this is fully texture changeable, so you can select the metals, gem, and accent gems to suit your outfit, and the set includes matching earrings.  If you do your shopping at the larger jewelry stores, do yourself a huge favour and go and visit her store for some astonishing pieces at some very reasonable prices!

Ayla

Kimbra McMillan at Beloved Jewelry, one of my favourite jewelry makers in SL, gave me a few items some time ago, including a tiara.  I’m not overly fond of tiaras, but I’ve been looking for an opportunity to blog it for her.  And along comes this fabulous applier and prim gown from LC Fashion!

This gown is currently FREE to all comers, so hurry and get yours!  It comes with pants, top, and gloves on system layers, and has appliers for Omega, Belleza, Lola Tangos, Maitreya, and Slink.  The gown also comes in two styles, the ball gown I am wearing here, and a less formal evening gown.

A lot of Beloved Jewelry’s items are texture changeable so you can match with what you’re wearing (or in my case, select emeralds to offset my hair).  This tiara is no exception and allows you to select the metals, main and marquis gems, and the pearls from a huge range.

I’d also like to thank my friend Sophia “Queen of Fae” Hard for her wonderful location at  Castle of Fae, Artic Wolf.  Her beautiful castle and surrounding grounds are open to the public and are well worth a visit.

Innocence in the forest

This lovely little white faun (or is that fawn?) outfit from Catseye cries “innocence” to me, so I’ve decided I’ll be innocently naked wearing it.  If that offends you…

The kit comes with three styles of horns, the ears, the tail, and legs for every mesh body imaginable.  There are a number of texture options for the fur, ears, and horns in a HUD, which also incorporates a full colour matcher so you can customize the look.  For me, I love the white.

As usual, Catty has taken great care with her creation, and the detail and quality are superb.  Now, I’ll have to do a clothed picture for her to use on MP 🙂

Moments of elegance

Gia Aulder at Blonde Moments brings us a lovely sequined cocktail dress, suitable for a classy night out dancing.  The mesh gown comes in five sizes, and includes an optional matching panty (in standard layer and Lena and Maitreya appliers).

BlondMoment_006

The gown is high-cut at the thigh, just perfect for dancing, and the prim bustle moves very nicely, giving just the right flair.

Gia includes a lovely pair of heels matched to the dress with this outfit.  Versions are included for Maitreya and Slink highs, which make me a bit too wobbly.  They’re awfully lovely, though, and I’m tempted to go out and get some Slink High Feet just so I can wear them!

BlondMoment_009

Blonde Moments currently has a moderately small store, but stocks some lovely outfits, with demos available for nearly all of the products.  Take a look and see what you think!

Blonde Moments Siren Rose

Designer Gia Aulder from Blonde Moments provided me with this lovely mermaid gown for review.  Pink is not really my colour, so I’ll have to go blonde for this shoot 🙂

Blonde Moments Siren Rose Gown

Firstly, the outfit is a mix of mesh and three flexiprim skirts, and the texturing is very nicely done.  The mesh dress is in L, M, S, XS, and XXS and while I usually wear small, I am wearing XS in this gown.  I’d actually like to wear the XXS to get a little more of a slim look at the hips but as this is a review, I am wearing my standard small shape as changing it to fit wouldn’t give  you a fair view of the fit of the gown.

The mesh is fully weighted so conforms nicely to your dance moves.

For your L$300 you also get a two pairs of matching heels, one pair for Slink High and the other for Maitreya.

If pink is your colour, this one’s for you 🙂
